have you tried remove battery and put it back ?
mine have same problem this moring, hope it'll help :fingers-crossed:

I came here to post about the exact same issue. Went to bed last night, phone was working fine. Woke up and the phone was dead. At first I thought it was kind of odd because it had over 50% charge when I went to sleep but I just assumed that the battery died. Plugged it in but still nothing, changed to the spare battery and plugged it in and let it charge for 4 hours but still wont turn on.
The phone has spent it's whole life in an otterbox defender and is in otherwise mint condition, running the latest stock rom/firmware. What would cause a phone to just up and die?

Update:
Took the battery out of the phone and left it out for about a minute, put back in and the phone powered up. Strange.

Choose install manually, then have disk. Browse to where you extracted the zip, select the 'inf' file in usb_drv_windows
I have tried querying these guys yet no luck
is anyone kind enough to help me out?

[q] possible hard brick please help!

I just flashed a kernel i found online and my phone never booted after i tried to turn it back on, so i went back to the site where i got it only to find out the kernel was for the international version. Now i cant boot into recovery, download, or charge. I'm not sure if its just dead, but does anyone know if its bricked or how i could fix it.

its hard bricked. Only way to fix is with a JTAG ive heard alot of good feedback from mobiletechvideos http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-jtag-brick-repair/
Chances are its hard bricked. But if you can get Odin to see it, it may be possible to save it.

Definitely sounds like a hardbrick. I would say go with the JTAG video, I helped a friend fix his hardbrick with that as well. But next time make sure you triple check what you're flashing!!

This is a definite hard brick. The Intl has its kernel on /mmcblk0p5. On our s3, this is the location of the bootloader. Its fukd.

Xperia Play Defibrilation :)

Hey guys, this is gonna be kind of a long story but bear with me please.
I got an Xperia Play for dirt cheap today. The guy said it just vibrates when power button is pressed and doesn't boot but the green/blue led comes on so I guessed it was bricked or somethig. Oh, and it also doesn't have the battery cover.
So i tried flashing R800i_4.0.2.A.0.62_(1253-4437).ftf and Xperia_Play_2.3.3_UK_Generic.ftf via flashtool and "update" via update service but to no avail. Same symptoms.
I thought the screen is totaly dead and inserted a SIM card, pressed power, waited a few minutes then called that sim but the SIM was unavailable so I guess phone really doesn't turn on so a software fault is still an option.
Any ideas guys?
Also I wanted to ask something, what is this little white thing in the picture? Could it have something with the phone not turning on without the battery cover, I know my old HTC Startrek had something like that.

AFAIK that's the lever that disables the SD card while the phone is on so it can be removed without corrupting anything
And i'm pretty sure my PLAY turns on without it's battery cover (i remember doing it some time ago when my SIM card was going PMS)
I just had this problem today as well when I pulled my old PLAY out to use it for an alarm clock.
Download flash tool 0.68, install the drivers, and download the stock 2.3.3 ftf file.
hold the back button and plug the phone into your computer. drop the ftf file from the zip archive into flash tool and follow the onscreen instructions.
when its done, pull the battery put it back in an boot the phone. It will take 5-10 mins for the first boot. Make sure that it is done BEFORE you pull the battery though... pull it before and u really WILL brick the phone.
The problem is that the screen shows no signs of life at all. Was that the case with yours too?

One more thing. I jsut noticed that I don't need to hold back to connect it in flash mode, just plug the usb cable. Could it be that somehow it's stuck in flash mode?
Maybe "back" button is stucked. Try to open it and clean it

d710 icsFL24 stuck in bootloop after installing agat recovery

I rooted the stock OS with SPH-D710_FL24_CL1173404_REV2_Rooted_Nodata.exe and everything worked fine. Then I installed MobileODINLite-v3.85.apk and did the SXTP_Agat_FL24-v0.4.0.tar flash, and upon reboot, the OS loaded up fine, but after a minute the OS would lock up and the phone would then reboot on it's own, and it just keeps doing that no matter what. I've already tried going back into recovery and wiping cache and dalvik, no change. What should I do?
BTW, I'm a noob to smartphones, the reason I was doing all this is because I can't transfer any files to the internal USBStorage folder either by KiesAir or by physical connection to the pc, I just get a transfer failed error. I was trying to make a recovery so I could load a custom ROM (dirty unicorns) in hopes that this would fix the problem. Also I don't think taking this phone to Boost for a replacement is an option, since I bought this phone used from the previous owner. HELP! =(
Look guys, I'm not someone who is too lazy to use google. A week ago I didn't even know how to use this device. I've tried looking around but I'm gonna need someone to point me in the right direction, so seriously? 33 views and nobody can at least do that to help me?

What I would do is download the GB27 Rooted Odin here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1903252
And update to JB and maybe that might fix some of your problems. You can get into Download Mode by pulling the battery and replacing it and holding Power+Vol Down.

For future use, NEVER, EVER remove the USB while flashing. Unless you wait at least an hour and nothing happens. Had it been flashing the recovery/bootloader right then you may have bricked your device.
Also, while flashing it may appear to hang. It isn't always the case.

Fried motherboard?

Hello,
Yesterday my half year Nexus 5x has started to do strange things. It froze when testing WiFi speed and then started to hang when trying to boot. When I powered it off, it started behave like it would be bricked. Connecting to PC did nothing. After 5 minutes of pressing POWER + VOL UP + VOL DOWN it shown bootloader so I could reset it to stock and check if it works.
Sadly stock can't even boot because phone freezes and stops to respond to anything or reboots and freezes on Google logo.
When powered off it still generates a lot of heat. After leaving it for night with full battery, battery was fully depleted at morning.
About month ago it very overheated and sim reader stopped working for about hour.
Currently it's booted to bootloader and connected to charger. I'm not going to power off it, because booting to bootloader starts to be very hard.
Any ideas what is wrong with it? Is motherboard fried?
I'm going to relock bootloader and RMA it.
Exact same behaviour : http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/help/nexus-5x-dead-help-wont-boot-t3427169/
can you check this post ?
I got a replacement via warranty.. and now struggling to recover my data. .. replacement having problems with fingerprint scanner.

I checked it now. I have almost the same issue but mine 5x was showing normally boot screen but it freezes after getting some temperature. I used fan to cool it down and I could boot it normally but after selecting language it froze and restarted. It also powercycles in bootloader, so it was really hard (almost impossible) to restore stock.
