Same with jelly beer no modem ...really all will work. If your worried just flash the rom then flash the modem.. BTW if it didn't work it won't kill the phone just flash another rom or restore

Someone said they have the AT&T Jellybeer rom running perfectly on our T889, I need to flash our modem though, correct? Does anyone have a zip link to one, I can't seem to find a recovery flashable one? I'm kind of excited now, since our forum seems so quiet.

No need to flash a modem. Clean install first, then just flash the rom and flash gapps. I'm currently running Jelly Beer. :good:
I have Jelly Thunder running fine on mine, I just stayed in recovery and flashed Persius kernel for our device after flashing the ROM, everything working here.

Yea, I just asked someone in the Jellybeer thread if I had to worry about that, or flash a modem, or kernel. To be on the safe side.... if so, Mmm..... back on AOSP, is going to feel so good. Lol

I too am running jellybeer and it is great it will do for now till whitehawkx and cmenard relese a nice shiny new AOKP rom for us (fingers crossed) it has some AOKP features in it. All I have to say is read read read and when you are done and think you got it read again. All the info is in the the first few posts of a rom thread. just make sure that there is no modem mostr devs do not include a modem but I have notices a few that are starting to put one in so just watch if they do they usually say so because like I said it is not standard pratice.
I do have a question I have not flashed any touchwiz att roms only the unofficial cm10 and jellybeer. So on the TW roms do you have to flash o tmo kernel? The reason I ask is because on the s2 the main difference was the rotation. It was always messed up so the way to fix it was to use a tmo kernel or vice versa . Until someone made a .zip that fixed that and the device name in the build.prop so is that the same situation here.. It doesnt sound like it.
And one m ore question while I am here I posted a question in the q&A thread if anyone knows the proper lcd density. I dont like the way jellybeer is it has small fonts on the phone but everything in the market is way too big and it is driving me nutts.

That i dont know, all the note II has the same hardware, correct me if im wrong. so i dont know if flashing a tmo note II kernel with a Att TW rom will work. but CleanRom is using Persus, and i think Tmo N2 has Persus kernel, so maybe it will work
Here it is guys, i took the risks with my heart pounding every second when it was installing and booting
Using CleanRom by scrosler, here is the link
I flashed the rom, in aroma, i choosed ATT as the carrier and persus kernel, then the rest is pretty self explanatory
then i flashed Tmo modem and Tmo Persus Kernel
it booted and it is running, i powered it off and took out the battery to test if it will power back on again, and indeed it did
Clean rom works perfectly without a flaw.. no need to install any kernel, modem or anything .

I'm using madmack's 12-13 build of CM10. It's working perfectly for me... everything works. It's very stable. His ROM is in the "original" development section of the AT&T Note 2 forums. Just flash it along with JB gapps. He has also started working on CM10.1, but not everything is working.
EDIT: I have not tried mounting to my PC yet.

What do you have to do different from flashing a regular rom with the tmobile modem and everything? I downloaded jellybomb from at&t note 2 forum and the t889 uvalj1 modem, but when I try to flash the rom it fails, and the modem wont show up in twrp because it isnt .zip. Any help greatly appreciated.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
Download the file again. I tried Jellybeer, it works great. You don't need to flash the modem, it's not included in the ROM. Make sure you flash JB gapps. I wasn't getting a signal on first boot of Jelly beer. I can't remember if it was a reboot or cache/dalvik wipe that fixed it.

The hardware is the same, except the radio. If you take any 7105 (7105, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-mobile) rom and the T-Mobile radio uou have a T-mobile ROM.

^right but a few things dont seem to work either. Its odd to rely on other carrier based roms. Just kinda shocked our development seems kinda slow. Not ungreatfull just confused.
So are you telling me i can also flash sprint & verizon based roms as long as i flash our radio?
So far so good....

I did get the CM10 rom in the At&t Note 2 Original development thread to flash and so far it is working flawlessly. All i did was flash the rom and the gapps. No radio or modem or anything. Does that mean the rom didnt include a specific radio or modem or does it just not matter?

I just tried to flash a verizon rom and it wouldnt even boot so im doubting they are all universal. Also tried an international rom and it booted but i had no signal or data. Thankfully i nandroided back and im good. Maybe we should make a list of roms that can be used.

[PATCH] *** N7105 AT&T and VZN ROMs on your SPH-L900 *** [N7100 works for ADV Users]
DISCLAIMER: I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone. You brick it, you fix it!
This is a combination of work from scrosler and myself. I saw where Scott did this for the VZN GN2 and I modified it to work with the Sprint (SPH-L900) GN2 phones. With this modification your are able to flash N7105 ,AT&T (SGH-I317) and Verizon (SCH-I605) Roms to your phone. Both of those rom bases are confirmed working. Please make sure you do not flash modems/radios for the above listed devices. N7100 INT roms can be flashed using this method ONLY AFTER they have been ported to the N7105/i317 following madmack's guide in this thread. I can confirm that a port I just did of a N7100 rom works as well.
First download the SPH-L900 patch from HEREhttp://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390248398092764671
Download a stock SPH-L900 kernel from the bottom of this thread -- Perseus kernels work as well, found HERE
Choose a N7105, SGH-i317 or SCH-I605 rom that does not install modems/radios - The Swedish N7105XXDLL1 4.1.2 stock rooted base can be found HERE
Follow the steps to flash below:
Reboot into recovery
Make a full backup
Perform a complete wipe (cache, dalvik, factory reset, system) in TWRP
Flash the N7105 or SCH-I605 ROM you downloaded
Flash the SPR_GN2_Config zip file
Flash the Stock or Perseus kernel
Wipe Dalvik/Cache
Reboot System
If you happen to do exactly what I told you not to and flashed a rom that installed a modem/radio and you no longer can get signal, if you didn't brick it and can still boot into download mode, you will need THIS FILE to flash in ODIN to restore factory SPH-L900 specs.
WARNING: Data may or may not work if you do not change the mount point for the DATA partition to the correct one in the updater-script!
.
Holy crap. Nice. The Galaxy Note 2 is truly universal. Thanks for this.

roms that don't have the modem.bin in the zip file. if they do, you can delete it and edit the updater-script and you should be good to go.

It didnt work with the MIUI they have on ATT. ROM installed fine, but no data. I did the procedure in the OP step by step.
Possible cause - I think that even thought it is Touchwiz based, it uses MIUI base phone and framework (I am the one who got data to work on the port by lbx_mobbin_1 by tweaking the framework)

The zip replaces all the csc data with sprints....thats the main difference on these phones. Other than that, they are mostly the same. I have flashed a lot of crap on it from other carriers, so not too worried anymore.

Hey guys I just thought I would share that I have successfully flashed both AT&T Rom along with a Verizon Rom (JellyBeans 9). I know the AT&T one is a little more known however I couldnt find one to do with Verizon. So all you have to do is download the Rom of your choice and flash it, then you have to flash the Tmobile Modem and you should be set to go! Hope this helps some people as I contemplated flashing a Verizon Rom on my Note 2. I have also tried International Roms with no luck sadly. This is a community based thread and I couldnt do it without some of the help from you guys, everyone deserves the "Thanks" I get!
Find stock Modem here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102380
Caution: This is not an official guide its just something I have found after flashing some ROMs I personally THINK MAJORITY of the ROMs should work but I take no responsibility for bricks.
I am going to start a list of Confirmed Roms if you have a Rom from a different carrier then please tell me and I will update the list, Thanks!

Yes it works I started a thread about this a week ago in general forum. Flash rom then kernel and modem for tmobile. If you download a rom that doesn't give you data, once you flash rom and its booted up, turn on wifi and go to market to download hiapn and itll help restore apn settings giving you data again. Every rom ive tried has workes. Verizon, tmobile, sprint, and at&t.

No need. The kernel goes with the ROM.
All you should need is the modem.
Yeah no need to flash a different Kernel.

I tried jelly beans rom which was pretty good just didn't like battery life. I'm now on a AT&T ROM right now which is cleanrom I'm staying on this one for awhile.
Just wanted to say you really shouldn't even need to flash a modem unless the rom your wanting to flash contains a modem. If the rom contains a modem then you'll need to flash a T-Mobile modem otherwise you will still have the same modem you had before flashing.

Still nothing for n7105/t0lte.
I've never tried touchwizz but ported a few AOKP and cm ROMs. Here's a guide for touchwizz

Nice find! I've got nothing to do right now... Let's see if I can't do this...
as soon as the leaked version of 4.3 for the N7100 becomes official we should get our rom with tw as well quickly after.
reckon samsung has leaked that rom themselves simply to see if there's any additional bugs and errors they have to sort out before they make an official version of the rom, and whats a better way than to leak it to the internet knowing that it won't take long untill developers from for example xda take notice and start messing with it as well
reckon it will only be a short time before samsung releases an official rom
if you do manage to get/make a ported version for the n7105 which is generally bugfree i would love to try it as well
untill then its gonna be aokp/aosp depending on what rom i feel like using ^^

This is in the wrong section. This belongs in Q&A... Where you might get more response if you had posted in the correct place..

That one is still a build based on leaked firmware of N7100.
I don't think it will work on our firmware even you ported it, because you will still need our own base firmware to port any rom.
I also do hope there's some light come to the LTE device for the TW rom. Same like you, I also like the TW ROM instead of CM.
Just wait my friend.

Actually, we can be using 4.3 TW on our lte variants right now if we manage to get the kernel for that.

Yes thats what i read. We only need the right kernel to get it working.

don't forget, the partition is different as well.
That's what make the bootloop, corrupt IMEI,.... if you try to flash N7100 rom onto our device.

Ok guys. I'm writing this from the MI6 leaked 4.3 TOUCHWIZ N7100 ROM on my AT&T Note II.
Here's how:
DISCLAIMER: CELL CONNECTION DOESN'T WORK, NO SIM ERROR SO IT'S WIFI ONLY. IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO FIX THIS, PLEASE HELP
I CAN'T BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES. IT WORKS ON MY PHONE, IT MAY NOT WORK ON YOURS
Go to the n7100 Android Development Board and find Dr. Katan's MI6 build.
Download all 3 parts. V1,V2, and the 4.3 Mods.
Boot into recovery (I'm using Philz custom recovery)
Clear/wipe/yadda yadda
Install V1, it'll start Aroma installer.
Choose to back up efs!!
MOI IMPORTANTE: DO NOT CHANGE THE MODEM
Aroma will ask you about the kernel: FLASH THE 4.3 STOCK KERNEL. (I know it shouldn't work, but it does)
I left everything else unchecked except when it asks about pushing firmware, I checked it.
Flash V2 the same way and the mods and there ya go.
I use Devil Kernel to dual boot and keep my 4.1 ROM on secondary ready to go.
Devil Kernel DOES NOT support 4.3 Touchwiz, so I have to flash the appropriate kernel first.
i am waiting too ...
Been checking XDA (N7105) & SamMobile few times per day...no luck still ....
Tried the Tiger Rom based on MI6 on my international N7105. Rom also flash the radio so it shows up as unknown baseband, and the S Pen is not recognized. Other than that I didn't spot other issue.
I restore immediately from my previous CWM backup and reflash the radio to make things the way they were.
