might have been a good idea to mention that in your first post then maybe people wouldn't be wasting time trying to find the wrong solution. try and flash the older one then if it doesn't work just re-flash the newer one

Use any 3.20.401 backup. Best is to take a 3.20.401.1 and restore that including the 3.14 stock recovery (yes the 3.14)
Then ota again to 3.20.401.3 to pull the cid right. Then you are back on full stock !

I don't understand you can how to include 3.14?

The stock recovery did not change ! That's why the 3.14

Downgrading 3.20?

Seeing as there is no 3.20 RUU yet is there anyway I can return to stock on a 3.20 base?
My CID is HTC__001
Yes with a nandroid backup
Ok thanks for that, do I need to relock the bootloader after the backup? Also do I need a 3.20 nandroid backup or can I use a 3.14 one?
No, you need to restore a 3.20.401 nandroid backup (assuming that's the one you are after) and flash back a 3.14 stock recovery. Then you are able to update with official ota's
Yes ideally I need a 3.20 backup, just looking for one now.

Thanks for that. So I restore the backup first, then flash stock recovery? Can I not flash my 3.14 RUU after that?

I'm looking to flash my unrooted One X, (Wifi signal has been dodge for a while, factory reset didn't resolve it). I'm the same HTC_001 3.20.401.1. Can I just drop the boot and recovery files in the root of my phone's storage then just boot into recovery mode and go from there?

No you can't do that. Is the bootloader unlocked ? If not you can't do anything. If it is is unlocked you can install an older stock rom based on 3.14.

There is no JB 3.20.x.x RUU for now, only some of 3.14.x.x JB but because of S-ON you can not flash lower that phone have, (and i assume that you did not make your own backup before flashing custom rom because if you did you only need to make restore from custom recovery and flash corresponding boot.img from backup) so your only solution is to use nandroid backup for your CID pick nandroid 3.20.401.3 but if there is no matching try nearest lower number!
Pay attention to use nandroid backup for CWM or TWRP - i do not know which custom recovery you have, and how to use nandroid backup - look at mine signature link

Ah you are lucky then, 3.14.401.31 is your main version, not 3.20.401.X and you can revert to stock with RUU or nandroid.
1. RUU http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1...-r-radio-5120416229-release-302015-signedexe/
2. And for nandroid backup same that i told you before just download 3.14.401.31 versions not 3.20.401.X
For RUU - you need to relock bootloader before executing from windows, and this will also delete custom recovery!
I have same problem.. more or less.. but my versio-main is 3.14.401.600 ... can I put 3.14.401.31 ???

As far as i know at this moment you can not reverse to stock..no RUU or nandroid for this cid or main-version.. Only solution for you is that somebody with same Cid and main version rom gives you nandroid backup that is made with custom recovery.. I do not get it, why people dont make backups -this is main thing in all how to root, use custom roms or flash guides! Sorry and good luck!
second hand phone.. with already unlocked bootloader(1.28) and custom ROM (arhd 12.0) on it.... I always do a Nandroid Back up of my phones....

Which RUU should I use?

HBOOT : 1.36.0000
Radio : 5.1204.162.29
CID : 044 (Asia WWE)
(Do I need to give more information?)
I've installed an RUU once before, but I've reinstalled Windows and I don't have the file anymore. And I'm not sure which one to download, so can someone please put a link in to your reply . Instructions would be good, because I've got my phone into a bootloop once.
PS : I'm going back to stock, I'm not updating my HBOOT or anything.
Easier is to give the main version.

I accidentally went into recovery and now I think it just wiped my SDCard; I've got a nandroid backup, after that backup I didn't do much to my apps, is there any chance I could restore some apps from that?, from my PC?
A nandroid backup does not backup your sdcard. Wiped stuff from the sdcard is not coming back.

I mean the apps in the nandroid?, not the content of the sdcard, is it possible?
So you actually have a nandroid backup ? Restore it and its done.
Or use a ruu and redownload the apps.

[Q] Unrooting. How?

I want the stock back. I want to update my phone to the new update that just arrived with sense 5.
My Cid is Y13 and my fastboot versioncheck said 3.20.401.
I've been googling and found some info that there's no RUU for me. What should i do then?
I've rooted my phone like a few months ago, and I'm running the stock rom. Flashed kernel etc if that matters.
I'm kind of a rookie in the subject so no hate thanks.

No cid is with wwe europe not so important. Restore a matching nandroid any cid, flash back the 3.14 stock recovery and you can ota official. Just dont relock the bootloader, thats the only thing

may i ask why should we not relock the bootloader while unrooting?
Because when you go back to stock with another cid nandroid and you relock the bootloader the device won't boot past the bootloader

You can only relock when also the cid match. After 1 official ota you can again relock the bootloader at wish because the cid will be good again after the update.

That ruu does not work. When you unlock the bootloader and flash a custom rom you need to make nandroid backup. That ruu could not wipe your phone because it doesn't install at all ! Now you can only return to stock with a stock nand backup.
