[Q] what if you flash a ROM That is not for your phone?

hi all,
i have readed some threads about this question but i can't find the answer i search for.
What happen if i flash a ROM from galaxy ace (or another device) on my galaxy gio?
Would it be SOFT-bricket ? or HARD-Bricked ?
yesterday i did just not flash a rom for galaxy ace ( i didnt know it was for galaxy ace and not for gio) but i looked a last time and then i saw that i was redericted to a threat in galaxy ace forum's and i didnt flash the ROM... (it was Adrenaline rom from ace but not ported to GIO )

Probably rom from Ace would work on Gio, but then perhaps you wouldn't be able to use your phone anymore

maybe it will brick your phone,but always cant boot(soft brick)

you 2 guy's have diffrent option's
you say that it is soft bricked and the other one say's that it would be hard- bricked
you wouldn't be able to use your phone anymore

I mean key mapping. It's different in Gio en Ace, so you can't do anything. Maybe you would flash new soft with Odin, but I don't want to check it

how to root a samsung s3

hi ive got a samsung s3 and wanting to root it im on 4.0.4 and baseband version i9300xxlh1 im not wanting to put new firmware im just wanting to root so i can still update via samsung kies because theys some apps i want and the phone need to be rooted can some one point me were to download the tools from thanks

Start in the sgs3 development or general forum.. google always hellps too and don't update Samsung took away local voice search from svoice

I used this site by zedomax when i was starting to learn about rooting & ROMing.

Rom searching

Hello there,
I'm searching for a Galaxy grand i9080 (that one with 1 SIM card) Rom...I posted this question here because it's the most similar, almost the same, phone as mine...also, i've found a rom but i'm not sure if it's for grand duos or the regular one. If someone could help me I would appreciate it very much )
And one more question. Can I use the i9082 root method for rooting my i9080?

We can't root i9080 with i9082 prerooted image....

The method for rooting galaxy grand i9080 is the same of i9082 (same files, same proccedeure)

IF u have Samsung Galaxy S III (Intl)- i9300,here's the link http://get.cm/get/eXA,before flashing make sure u have kitkat compatible recovery and the device is rooted,u probably should know that rooting voids warranty.
