This is actually for my mother's phone... she is a yoga teacher and has to be able to run high volume through the headphone jack for an extended amount of time during her yoga sesh's about half an hour threw them the volume gets cut saying loud music can harm ears, she turns it back up but then it gets turned back down. I just rooted it and am ready for any solution even if it requires getting a custom rom going for her. She has the Virgin mobile galaxy s2 running 4.1.2 GB28.

I am currently using a Motorola H17txt. It worked great with my Droid X; however, with the GNex, I get what sounds like feedback (some squealing) in the earpiece that I didn't get when I used it with the Droid X. Prefer an A2DP one with an ear hook since I have yet to find one that's comfortable to wear without one. Thanks.
I use the motorola S305. Worked fine with my HTC Desire, but seems to drop connection with the GNex. Otherwise, sound quality is ok, very comfortable.
I use a Jawbone Icon, it works great.

Might have to get those for working out. Looking more for a mono A2DP one so I can listen to my Google Voice and text messages. Does anyone have the Motorola Elite Silver and Elite Flip? Those look pretty nice, but don't want to drop that much on something that might sound as bad on this phone as my H17txt do. Tried the Jawbone, but they hurt my ear too much. They never fit right, even with the earloop, so I can't utilize their technology and people on the other end have a hard time hearing me.
Maybe someone can help. I got an LG G3 not too long ago. My wife needed a new phone and being the great guy I am, she wanted another Samsung (she had the GS3) so I gave her my Note 4. I got an LG G3 because I was able to get it pretty cheap on a new contract and I heard it was a great phone.
Now, at work, I always have my phone on vibrate. The Note 4 used to almost bounce off the desk with vibrate. I had to keep turning down the intensity. With the LG G3, I've got the intensity set to as high as it can go and I can't hear it nor does it vibrate the desk at all. I've tried it in and out of the Spigen case I bought.
Is this normal for the G3 to basically have no vibration intensity, even at full? Or do I have a defective phone?
No one else sees the vibration on this phone as almost non existent?
bueller, bueller, bueller...

lol...No, I just want it to be able to be heard and felt if it's in my pocket. If it's sitting on my desk, I can't hear the vibration at all. I'm surprised this isn't more of an issue that is being talked about. I like this phone a lot, but vibration is useless.
Hi, im a proud owner a MH750 headset that come with my Z1.
At the beginning it worked really well, really good sound, good volume, etc, no problem at all. But after a couple of mounts of heavy use (2-3hs daily) i started to note that i have to turn the volume up a little more in the phone, and with the pass of time it happens: i have 100% vol in the phone but the MH750 sounds really low.
Today i present you a tutorial of how to mod it for obtain good volume again.

Read all the steps first!!!!
1 - Remove all ear plugs, you should see now a black mesh (o something similar) like the picture_1

}
2 - With something sharp, and very carefully, remove said mesh (picture_2)
3 - Now you will see a sponge inside, DON'T TOUCH IT. Leave it there. (picture_3)
4 - When you finish both, install the ear plug again. (picture_4a & b)
5 - Finish! Test your new repowered headset! :good:
I still trying to find some way to clean the mesh, i think that it is covered and cleaning it will solve the problem. I don't know how to do it yet.
Nicely done bro...

So I have a OnePlus 3 and a USB Dragonfly Red DAC.
Common problem with these DAC's is that Android reads the "default" volume as the "max" volume.
So when I plug in the DAC the DAC tells the phone that the default volume is 22 out of 64 volume steps. But the phone hears that as the max volume steps is 22 which makes the DAC really quiet.
Dragonfly Red manufacturers tried to fix this with a firmware patch last week but it didn't work with the OP3.
Does anyone have a nifty way of getting the phone to set the max volume to the correct 64 steps instead of 22? Maybe some config file somewhere?
Long shot but I thought I'd ask.
Thanks in advance if anyone has a fix.
Hi I have the red dac, the firmware was for mqa not androids dodgy volume, basically you need root and an app called alsa mixer from the store first off then you have to type a command in terminal emulator to fix the DFR at a higher volume, i will provide the command ill just find it, I can help further I had this problem and hated it and then I found a fix
https://www.head-fi.org/f/threads/new-dragonfly-black-and-red-discussion.805832/page-185
post number 2769 has the instructions
the app alsamixer is available on apk mirror it is a free app that was on the playstore but has since been removed
The update was actually supposed to fix the volume issues but they kept it pretty quiet at the time. It fixed it for my friend who is on the HTC 10 but unfortunately it didn't work for all models.
Thanks for the info though I'll try that later today. Much appreciated

With stock MUIU, go into the settings/about/all specs/click multiple times on kernel version, you'll have the basic test for the phone and will be able to test main mic and top mic too
