It really has me annoyed that I cannot access music controls from the lock screen unless my lockscreen has no password or pin set. IS there any way to go around this?

Hello XDA developers.
I have a HTC touch HD and i would like to use it as MP3 player. It all works fine except one thing: I can’t control the music/volume when my phone is locked. I would like the volume buttons NOT to be locked when playing music.
I have already tried Slide to Unlock, which allows me to change the volume when my phone is locked, but it does not work when my screen is off.
Is there any solution for this?

Is there a shortcut to access music? like iphone, double tab the home button and you can change songs straight from the home screen. Is this possible with the g2? It makes a whole lot easier when trying to change songs while driving so you dont have to unlock, go to music player on home screen and then hit next.
hopefully when its rooted, you'll be able to hold the volume up button and it would go to the next song (addon)

lol. but wouldn't that just change the volume? theres a nexus one hack that lets you skip+pause songs by clicking the scroll ball when locked. probably could change that to get it to work with the G2's trackpad.
Not sure of an app that does the same as the iPod. But I use MixZing Media Player, you can enable a widget that pops up on your lock screen that lets you pause, play and skip songs. Also shows the artwork for the current song playing. That feature isn't free though. You have to purchase the upgrade for $7.99

I'm not sure why, but that feature never worked on my Nexus. No matter how long I held it down.
You could always use QuickDesk. It'd function exactly how you want it if you put just the music widget on it.

Wanting to use the lock screen music controls. When plugged in, music controls stay on. (most likely due to setting to keep backlight on while charging) I want the music controls to stay on when not plugged in. Currently it time's out after about 30seconds. Then I have to press the power button again. Want music control to be available when music is playing. Anyone have any ideas? Don't care about power drain, This feature is for when I'm working out/running. Can't find anything that adjusts this.

lets you change that, although only up to a delay of 30 minutes.
I have a problem when my phone is in the pocket and I'm listening to music: Wrong movements will adjust the volume, it's far too easy to touch. Is it possible to lock the volume buttons in any way so they don't react when the screen is off? After a bit of googling I tried something called Widget Locker, but that didn't work.

Not sure if anyone else has raised this, but when im playing music, i tend to use bluetooth or headset controls to adjust the volume or skip tracks. However whenever i receive notifications or a popup message, the controls stop working.
I guess this is linked to the lockscreen controls for music. Whenever i can use the lockscreen playback controls, remote control functions work. When it disappears, they dont .
Anyone got any idea on how i could keep the playback controls persistent, regardless of notifications, so that remote control buttons will always work?
