Woke up to LTE being activated in Barrhaven with Rogers. Now I dont have to wait to get to work for LTE speeds . 35 Down and 21Up.
Thats great news. I wish att would turn it on in the metro Detroit area. I'm ready for it to be here.

I spoke to a Rogers employee the other day and he said this area won't get LTE till late 2013. Such crap. Its not like I live in a hole either lol. Niagara Falls to Hamilton has nothing but hspa+. Patience is key I guess.
Glad to hear Rogers is at least doing something!

Just left the tunnel towards Long Island and connected to 4G. Looks like they have started deploying

ALL LTE discussions here, where, when, how fast!
There is a thread for this already. Just letting you know.
Sent From My Rooted, S-OFF'd Blackberry Curve using the iOS XDA Application for Android.
yeah, southern queens/nassau border has some, and northern manhatten. i guess they are expanding now. i don't know if i'm going to live long enough to see 4g in my area (north shore li), but whatever. lol.. my girlfriend lives in forrest hills, the only time i used wimax was at her place.
4g in ny has been locked twice I think
You gotta use the matter thread in the sticky event though having one just for nyc seems like a good idea to me

All LTE discussions go in the sticky thread
Thanks

Sprint can definitely work my nerves sometimes but I must say they have done a good job of rolling out LTE in my area (Raleigh Durham). I don't think there was any LTE beginning of the year but it has been popping up everywhere. I remember looking at Sensorly and thinking they just turned on a tower over here and a tower over there. They're turning them on quick now. Anybody having similar experiences?

Putting the ILLA in KILLA since 1985
I started having problems with data this morning and noticed LTE 4G was popping up then dropping signal, in order to maintain coverage I had to deselect LTE in network settings but the point of the thread is to make it known that it is being implemented today for Boston.

That is also the point of this other thread. Instead of having a thread for every city, there is one to rule them all.

+1 I'm in the Taunton area, just south of Boston and I've had LTE coming in and out for a few days now actually.
On a side note (and not at all to go off topic, but it must be said)

I'll be pissed if the bruins don't bring the pain tonight, and Boston can handle it's own thread we deserve it after all the drama.

I would totally care but sprint doesn't seem to care about the Denver area. Theres wimax in like a 10 block radius and promises for years we'd get more.... Now they're switching to lte and more promises but for the last 3 years its always been their sucky 3g

Same here in Salt Lake. Sucky/spotty 4g. No LTE in sight.
But at least I'm paying for someone to have lte. Cuz it sure ain't me.

Phoenix is the same way. Promises after promises. Now it doesn't look like we get even basic 4g for years yet. Stuck with 3g on the maybe eventually network.

VA area near TN, Pretty good 4g with a chance of LTE every now and again.
Hate to say it but I do miss Verizon service.

You can manually write whatever PRL you want with DFS CDMA Tool & a PC, regardless of which ROM you're on.

you have a link for that program? Would be pretty cool I'd we had someone fix the CDMA tools app or make us an easy "one click" sprint prl/profile updater.. If there is one already phase forgive the noobness....

To be able to connect to DFS you need to have DIAG mode enabled, and its only available in Stock roms and ASOP

I was in SLC last month and had solid 4g in the neighborhood above the capitol. Didn't go too far from there so I can't speak to other areas.
I've literally traveled all over America due to being in a touring metal band, and I can honestly say that 1. Sprint's service ****ing SUCKS ****. And 2. 4G LTE is extremely spotty. Luckily at home here in Baltimore I have 4G all over, but anywhere other than the east coast, you're lucky to get LTE. I had great service when I was in Denver earlier this summer, but no 4G whatsoever if I recall correctly (And I don't, because Colorado is a... "Medical" state. )

You must have been in the 20 ft circle of 4g coverage.

I lol'ed at the your description of how Sprint's service sucks...especially since I generally agree. But down here in Dallas, I get pretty great LTE coverage. I think because we were one of the first markets to launch LTE. In some places in town I get 30MB+ download speed so I cant complain. But in the outskirts of town and suburbs...it isnt nearly that good but I'll still usually be able to connect to LTE.

I've got to take care of a couple things this morning, but when I'm done (probably about 2 hours) I'll post a full write-up.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I flashed a stock rom to get the updated PRL. Looks good. What's different about it?
Also, I get pretty decent 4G coverage in Houston, Texas with Sprint, even out to the suburbs on the north side. It's not nearly as fast as the service I had with verizon, though, but it is at least consistent.
Once you get past the city limits on the east or south, though, both 3G and 4G get iffy.
I have awsome Sprint Airave coverage at home.
I hope someone makes a app like RoamControl that works with our Optimus G so my phone will work outside of my house.
