quick question. Sometimes my lockscreen layout changes by itself. I don't know if it something I'm doing or how it changes but it is very annoying. I have the regular setup with the Life companion text and the time and date underneath with the swipe to unlock on the bottom. But at times the setup changes to the text and clock is in a smaller text and side to side to the swipe to unlock. It does it without me knowing how or why and changes back without me knowing how or why. I was wondering if somebody could help me with this problem as it is starting to become very annoying recently. Thank you. I will try to take a screen shot next time to show.
This is what it looks like.

OK, i know this is trivial, and not a big deal at all, but I am a little OCD about stupid little things...and this bothers me to no end.
i have no lock screen shortcuts
when i go to unlock, i used to be able to move in any direction and have the unlock icon in the white circle follow my finger when i got outside of the lock ring.
but in the last few nightlies, no matter where i go, the white circle with lock icon in it, ALWAYS goes to the right. if i go up, it goes right, if i go down, it goes right. ect.
its hard to explain, but press the lock screen "lock icon" and slide it to the outside of the circle that shows up, and you will see a solid white circle with a black unlock icon in it. thats the circle i am talking about. i want it to follow my finger, and not default to the right. any way i can do this?
again, its a trivial issue, but it bothers me to no end. i ended up uninstalling because of that. and now being on stock 4.2.2, i get what i want
does it bother anyone else, or just me?
apparently i am just a little too O.C.D. for custom ROM's
I've noticed there is no longer a way to expand the notifications... so they take up more than one slot when the status bar is pulled down. Some notifications like single emails are automatically expanded.
My phone is not rooted and I don't really want to root it for something so small.
I'm using Nova launcher prime. Is there a way to make all notifications expanded?? I've tried pulling down on the notification with one finger and two fingers at a time but it's not working.
I don't think its possible without root+xposed.
My 32Gb N5X has really suffered a loss of screen sensitivity since the last update. Are there any adjustments I can make to fix that? An example is that I have a hard time answering calls with an upward swipe. It'll take two or three swipes before I can pick up a call. Also, on the lock screen, I cannot swipe away a notification on the first swipe, that also takes two or three to make it happen. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?
Thanks!

I have the Note 8 on Verizon. Last week I received a software update to Oreo. Shows on phone as N950USQU3CRC2.
Excuse my terminology if I call something the wrong thing. I will attempt to be as detailed as possible.
I have several apps that put information into the status bar. This is what I call the bar at the top of the phone with the time and battery indicator, etc. I do not have a screen stand by, or lock or anything else. I push the button on the right to cut the screen on and off. All power saving features that I am aware of have been disabled.
Since the software update, some of information that used to stay permanently (persistent notification?) in the status bar would seem to be missing. When I pull down on the status bar to see all the notifications, I see the missing information, but now it seems to be minimized (compacted?). It has down arrows that I have to press to expand the information, then I actually have to open the app to get the information to go back to the status bar. After a short time the notifications disappear from the status bar again and I have to slide it down, expand with the arrow, open the app, etc. over and over.
It is very frustrating to have to do this all day long. Am I missing something? Is there a way to turn this minimization (compacting?) off so that all status bar info shows in the status bar all the time?
Hi I had this problem with one of my apps on Oreo. Go to Settings...Display....Status Bar. Make sure where it says show only 3 recent notifications is turned off. That should should hopefully help
Lrivera76, thanks for your reply. I checked where you referenced and it is turned off already. Interestingly enough, since about noon today, the three notifications I have been fighting with for the past few days have been staying on the status bar. The others that I do not care so much about are still staying minimized or compacted and I have to slide the notifications down to see them, but I do not really care if I see them or not. I began to wonder if the OS had some way of learning that I wanted these 3 left at the top because I kept reopening them over and over? I don't know. I wish there was an obvious way to just turn the minimizing thing off. We can already turn off a notification if we do not want it. What would be the purpose of leaving it on, but not see it. I don't get it.

I use the Navbar app and now with Oreo it stays on my pull-down menu as well. That didn't happen on Nouget. If you haven't tried, clear your cache partition and restart your phone. I was at the point where I was going to do a factory reset due to my battery not lasting the way it did but basically checking all my settings, notifications, displays, etc turning off things that where on when they weren't before saved me from having to do it. Give it a couple of days for the OS to settle if not you can do a factory reset to see if it gets rid of any issues.
So i bought a oneplus 5t with a slightly cracked (only one crack on the top of the screen, and it's not catastrophic) but (almost) fully functional screen.
It detects every touch accurately, 3 fingers same time, etc.
The only problem is, when i want to swipe (even on the home page, when u wanna scroll down the status bar f.e.), it stops scrolling the exact moment i take off my finger, or scrolls just a little bit.
I'm aware, that the crack on the screen might be causing it.
I did the factory mode calibration. I did reset the whole phone, hoping the problem somehow gets solved, but it didnt change anything.
The problem is very consistent, therefore it's useable, if you accept the fact, that the screen responds only when your finger is touching it and no longer.
I feel like if i could change the sensitivity of the touchscreen, or the responsiveness on the gestures it receives, i were able to make it just as new.
Oneplus 5t (OOS 10.0.1, TWRP and Magisk installed, in case you have some app or sth that requires root)
(I couldnt find the parameters that has relation to touch sensitivity in the build.prop file, i'd be glad if someone linked me a guide)
