[Q] Very poor CARRIER NETWORK

I got this used xperia S lt26i, everything is great, its on 6.1.a.2.55, rooted and all. But the carrier network on this is very very bad. I don't get any network signals unless I am standing under clear skies. That too for few minutes and it drops. Since it is out of warranty, I can't even get it replaced. I tried factory reset, repairing with EMMA, updating with pc companion, flashing rom with flashtool and all is in vein. I changed 7 sims as well, still no luck. Can anyone tell me how correct carrier network reception? Wi-Fi works great, so does the radio and everything else. Only carrier network is all bad. Please help me, can anyone suggest me some remedy? I heard changing baseband may help? But there are no basebands for xperia S anywhere on net, please help

It's not phone problem. It's your carrier problem.

Have you tried it on other phone first?If you are,and results still same...carrier problem,not phone

Tried the sim on 3 phones as well today. On other 2 it works great, on my xperia s it doesn't give me network. After a bit research I got to know that my cell is purchased from U.S and the radio/baseband here in India works on different wavelength. All I think is if I can get a baseband from .45 Indian firmware, I shall be getting network. I am on .55 now and dont want to go back to .45 as it was very laggy. Please suggest

[Q] Losing signal stock 4.1.2 firm

Im having a problem I keep losing signal on my note 2 im on 4.1.2 and I wanted to know if there was any known issues of this happening and if there is an easy fix for it.

I am also loosing signal too only on 4g

Wifi and bluetooth not turning on

Hey guys
Been using DMC3 stock deodexed without any problems for some time and all of a sudden started having problems with the Wifi. Initially it just disconnected even tho the Wifi signal was strong (S3 and iPad connect just fine).
Now both Wifi and bluetooth don't even turn on at all. I tried installing different roms (jedi x, jedi master, tweaked, stock roms, modems, etc.) but both Wifi and bluetooth just don't turn on at all at this point. Does anyone know any ideas or similar problems?

I had this problem. It would work for about a day, but when I left a wifi area (my apartment) it would stop working afterwards. I tried everything as well. Unrooted to stock, rooted to Jedi Master/Jedi-X, different kernels, different modems, still nothing.
I had to do a warranty exchange through Samsung. T-Mobile wouldn't let me do a warranty exchange through them.

Data Connectivity help please

hey guys hows it going,
i currently have a t-mobile galaxy s4 m919 i unlocked my phone via fastgsm.com its a great and affordable unlocking site i recommend it to anybody that cant get the free unlock to work
after getting my phone unlocked and spending alot of time with At&t on the phone i got my data to work
my problem is staying connected to my network data when im on the road i get no data whatsoever when i should be getting it with no problem
so at first i thought it could of been the rom i was using so i tried other roms and even went back to stock and i still have the same problem
then i tried doing wipes doing resets and none of it fixed my problem
whenever i leave a wifi area or just leave the phone on standby i loose data connection on my phone only way for my phone to pick up att data is if i reboot the phone or turn it into airplane mode then off ill get the 4g connection and only then is there a patch or something i can do for my phone so i dont have to do this everytime
is anybody else using a m919 with att
if so do you guys experience this problem ive tried so many ways of tryna get it to work including the *#*#4636#*#* and set my preferred network type to lte/gsm/cdma and it switches back to LTE/GSM auto (PRL)

Yes they are I get lte and regular data hspa but it will only work when I put the phone in airplane mode then shut it off basically resetting the radio

What is your modem version? MDL is the latest.

Glad I'm not the only one with this problem. This doesn't happen all the time which is weird. When it does happen though, it's a pain in the ass.

Settings->More->About Phone. You'd be looking for baseband on that screen; it should be M919UVUAMDL. If it's **MDB you could try updating your modem/baseband.

Weak Wi-Fi after upgrade to JB

Hello. When I bought my Xperia S it was with GBm then I upgradet it to ICS and the Wi-Fi signal was strong enough, I hadn't any complaints. However, after I upgraded to JB (6.2.B.1.96) the Wi-Fi signal strenght started dropping, sometimes it even REJECTS to connect. It's not a router problem, I can guarantee. Can someone help me? Thanks in advance!

I have the same problem but mine little different I have 2 routers in my house if I connect to my belkin the WiFi is flawless but when I connect t my netgear it keeps droping the WiFi idk?
