FLASHING BY ODIN
This is only for those who don't know to flash through ODIN.....
IMPORTANT STEP
Enable the USB debugging, for that go to “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging” and the most important part make sure that your device is left with more than 40% of the battery to insure that the device doesn’t get turned Off in the process of firmware update.
MAIN STEPS
[[[[ First Download Firmware Package and Odin 307 to your computer and extract both files on your desktop.
[[[[ Now run Odin and turn off your phone and boot it in Download mode.You can enter Download mode in your Galaxy GRAND Quattro I8552
by pressing Volume down Key, Center button, and holding both at the same time press the Power Button after that the device has entered
in the download mode and you will see a robot.
[[[[ After you entered download Mode connect your device to the computer with the help of USB cable and then you will see that the ID :
COM section will turn Yellow /Green this shows that drivers have been installed successfully.
[[[[ Now Click on “PDA” option and select the firmware tar file that you downloaded in the initial stage and then click on “Start”.(Make sure, only
"F.reset time and auto reboot is ticked..)
It will start the process of firmware update, Wait till the firmware is updated successfully (it will take around 5 minutes),after that your device will be rebooted ,please don’t remove the USB till you see the Language Settings option.Once your phone boot successfully and it displays home screen , remove the USB cable.
So that’s it You have successfully Updated your Galaxy GRAND Quattro I8552 ..........:good::laugh:

Do this... powe on by pressing power button.after getting the vibration try the power+home+vol down..take your hand off the buttons when the screen lights up.

I rooted my GT-i8552 but was still facing a few glitches so I tried to do a Factory Reset. Then it went into a bootloop. I've managed to get into download mode. But will flashing this ROM fix the problem?

I bought the chinese version of this Phone in Beijing. However, it does not have Google Play Store or any of the other Google apps on it and I have not been successful in installing it. Will I be able to use any of these ROMs on my phone and get Google play?

I believe this is an original Samsung device. It looks legit. However, Google is not big in China and people there tend to use alternatives to Google Play. Is there any of the versions of the stock ROM that you would be sure contains the Google apps? Does everybody in Taiwan have them? India, Russia, Ukraine?

1.go to sammobile.com and make account there
(subscription needed to enter download mode)
2. then go to samfit
3.fill in the fields with Product/ PDA Codes
*#1234# in dialer- PDA Code

(this is very useful when you want stock firmware you already have on you phone)
4.if you just want a stock firmware choose "Firmwares" from main menu

Hi,
I personally bought in O2, so I am sure I have got I9195XXUAMG4. In order to get Cyanogenmod, I had to rooted it. Now I want to go completely back, original recovery and ROM, but did not find any guide for it

Yes, I believe he is right, because you should remember it when the phone starts, it shows O2 carrier blue screen... if you do not remember that, you definitely do not have O2C... the same with T-Mobile version.

The Swedish (Nordic) firmware for your device is T520XXUANF4.
You can download it at SamMobile.
Thank you Luxation. I acctually went to the store today, brought my phone and photoed a SM-T520 and it showed KOT49H.T520XXXUANA7_LLK. But if I take a guess, it would be the NEE down below not the SEB.

Just want to say to who ever it may consern. If u brought a SM-T520 abroad and have problem with external devices such keyboards and such. For me living in sweden the NEE upgrade did it.
Download firmware from Sammobile and Odin from any of the links of this forum. Do NOT google it and download, cause they are often full of malware.

Also, I used Odin 3.09 where PDA changed name to AP. When flashing new firmware, you will not need to root the device. Also, KNOX still remain 0 and there should not be any intrusion in warranty.
Just, before upgrading I pushed HOME. Volume + (not -) and then POWER to go to ehm.... well not Downloading mode. I whiped cache, and then factory reset. Just to ensure no problems.
