Hi,
If you mean the Rom version in settings--->about phone, then you must change the value of ro.build.display.id in your rom's build.prop file.
So, it should be like this in your build.prop -
Code:
ro.build.display.id=XxX ROM By Savergiggio
Good luck

if you open this meta-inf https://mega.co.nz/#F!2R9i1R4K!AV8LFRRRkFNts2SiSHw3bw
you can see in updater.script a name at the top and if i try to edit it i get error status 6..
can you resolve it?

Yes, it is a common problem. Changing the name should do no harm at all so I am guessing that it is a problem with the character encoding. Firstly, you must use only a program called Notepad++ for editing the updater-script. Then try flashing the rom.zip file. If you still get status 6 then in Notepad++ go to Edit--->EOL Conversion--->Convert to UNIX Format. Then try and let me know if it works

if you just want to change icon or the picture, the easiest way is by open the apk file via 7zip then copy the files into it. its also work if you change some of the script. just put the scipt back to folder. I've used this method to modify systemUI.apk and framework-res.apk. it works fine for me.

Hi all, first i'm sorry for my poor english and thanks to anyone can help me After long time of searching how to modify an apk, i decided to modify systemui.apk to change notification pulldown background. i was very happy when i decompile, modified and re-compile in success. And i put modified apk to phone and waiting for good result. But i lost my statusbar and home button was in wrong position ( plz look at attached image ) So i tried 2 way to sign modifid apk : use winrar add META IFF folder straight to new apk and in other way i put back resource.arc file to the new apk after extracted from it. Hmm the resut was not like i hope. So any one here can tell me which step i was wrong or something like it and how to fix to get better result
Again thank in advance to everyone :good:
It's probably the image that's wrong.
You try to flash the rom or use the Backup and then set the lock screen by the member Xda post

Open command prompt
navigate to the folder where you placed apktool.jar, batch script and the aapt.exe [see screenshot]
For this guide i am using a simple framework-res.apk for reference.
Once you are in the folder via cmd prompt, you need to install the file using the " IF " command
type the following command -
Code:
[B]apktool if [I]name-of-the-app[/I] .apk[/B]
For example, once the command is executed correctly, it will look like this -
Code:
[B]apktool if framework-res.apk[/B]
Once the app is installed you need to decompile it.

did you mount system before you flashed the zip?
in cwm goto mounts and storage and mount system (if system is mounted it will display "unmount system")
remember if you are using a cm kernel like biels kernel you have to unmount system and remount it so its best to just unmount it and remount anyway just to make sure

Try some custom text apps from Xposed. XBlast can put text next to clock, (screenshot), but there might be others that will do it better.

Decompile your SystemUI, go to the values folder and open the bools.xml and look for...
Code:
<bool name="config_showOperatorNameInStatusBar">[B]false[/B]</bool>
...change it to...
Code:
<bool name="config_showOperatorNameInStatusBar">[B]true[/B]</bool>
...and it should display your operator.
I can't find that with root explorer, I'm sorry I'm a rookie, but here is my Sistemui.apk
