Hi, does anyone know if the Xperia PLAY support 5 GHz for WiFi? Could my PLAY see it?, Connect to 5 GHz net?

I haven't found any 5ghz network in my area but ik in JB there is an option to switch to that frequency

No, It was an exclusive for an LG phone and as stated you can only obtain it through illegal means.

After some research I've discovered an app bundle called Droidmote Server and Droidmote Client. It claims to be working with Xperia Play's physical controls. However I haven't found any video proof, only a couple of vague xda posts.

Touch pads dont work. Dev said he *could* make one that made them work but doesnt think its worth the effort.

Personally, I don't mind the touchpads not working, as long as the gamepad is responsive. How is it? When connecting, phone and tablet via Wifi HOtspot, does data get eaten up?

AFAIK it wont work via hotspot as your kinda not on the same network

I'm wondering is it worth to change HOV to Xperia Play... They have almost same processors and the same amount of RAM... differences are that HOV have 600MB of phone memory more and have BT v4.0... but Xperia Play have integrated pad... what do you people think?

Has anyone confirmed that HD Voice, or AMR-WB, works on the ZL? They say it works on the Z, but in the service menu, all I'm seeing is AMR-FR. That seems to max out at 12.20Kbps, while AMR-WB supports up to 23.85Kbps. Is the service menu correct, or is there a way to enable HD Voice? Or am I just being paranoid?
