This ROM is based on the Android Open Kang Project (AOKP). The idea to start a ROM based off AOKP with added features for us was started out of curiosity and boredom. We started compiling ROMs for personal use and later started sharing them. After sharing it with a few people, we decided to take it a step further and fine tune the way we do things. Since then, is been nothing but fun and a true learning experience for all of us involved. We've received high praise from not only users but fellow developers of other ROMs that enjoy seeing things done the right way. Our 4.2.2 version made it onto various devices to include the HTC One, Galaxy Nexus, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO LTE, Nexus 4 and some other devices. We hope to do the same with our 4.3 version.
Since we do not take ANY credit for the original code used in this ROM we would like to give credit and just say thanks to all the teams and individuals that have helped us in one way or another!

Just ported/flashed to my Cappy. Running great! I used the latest hellybean kernel though. Still great work, thanks for the great ROM!

Until now, the ROM runs really good. It is fast, smooth & responsible. The first bug I've found: System settings gives FC when trying to set Quiet hours.

good afternoon, I tried to install this rom 2 times and the screen stays black. I do not have bootanimation thing is not a problem, the wrong I've waited like 8 minutes to boot without success

Have you wiped all before install it (cache/dalvik/data/system)? On which version this happened?
I'm asking because I've just tried froma clean install and have no problem with booting.

in the latest version, I did full wipes cache and format system, data, and datadata

It runs amazing for me on the cappy. I've had it under heavy use for the past day or two and the performance and battery life have been fantastic. No reboots, no fc's

This ROM is based on CM 11.0 and made from MoKee Open Source
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP and CyanogeMod project. The source code is updated frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features at the same time.
The Mfunz Forums launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better.
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development. Newcomers are always welcomed!

Types of Releases:
MoKee OpenSource has 4 kinds of releases: official release, beta, nightlies, and unofficial builds.
Official release: This version is tested throughly by developers and users, so it is the most stable build
Beta: When a device is newly added, there will be beta versions for testing, but there might be unknown bugs and problems
Nightlies: Nightlies are compiled automatically by servers, so it will have the latest features but beware of uncompleted works
Unofficial builds: These builds are compiled from source or ported by non MoKee developers
Official Releases:
MoKee Open Source supports many devices, but the developers may not have all devices in hand, so if there are device maintainers that can help out, the official releases will be decided by them, MoKee Open Source will only maintain the nightlies to ensure the usability of the ROM. Yean im not sure why your getting freezes i haven't gotten any even oc to 1.6

I've only gotten one SoD. I under clocked to 1.4 and switched to smartass v2 so far been running great no SoDs

HellKat is CM11 based with a completely redone beautiful Holo Red theme. You'll probably notice a difference between HellKat and CM nightlies (or the virgin AOSP builds) due to the LINARO 4.8 toolchain we use to compile the ROMs. HellKat was first created by DerTeufel during Jellybean and was called Hellybean. We now support several devices and with a new build server we will be able to bring this beautiful ROM to even more devices. If you have another device supported by CM you more than likely can build HellKat for your other device. I haven't been paying much attention to the scene the past couple months; examples of SELinux-compatible recoveries? Last I read, TWRP 2.3+ builds were buggy piles.

My guess would be the gapps your using. I have been using the same ones for over a month no issues. I had gapps linked in OP but then get to many questions about newer Gapps and other packages. So I stopped recommending them but look here. I use gapps-kk-20131111-artcompatible.zip without issues.

Sms/mms/hangouts not work,wipe dalvik and same issue/camcorder record fine but video play full color lines,im not use camcorder for now,but i use sms frecuently,otherwise its a great kitkat rom!

Look 1 post above your last post. And video is fine here other than the slow start. Playback on phone is just as clear no color lines for me.

Sms working fine here , using TWRP , did a superwipe , dirty flash since the first build . The latest build is a little laggy on the home button press and hold , it dosent always show all the open apps , you have to wait 30 secs. Or so and press it again to get it to show all the open apps .

Using the same gapps-kk-20131111-artcompatible.zip on cwm 6044 full wipe and hangouts fc's on me also. Worked just fine on the alpha 12/11/13 build. Gonna load the backup for now.

HellKat is CM11 based with a completely redone beautiful Holo Red theme. You'll probably notice a difference between HellKat and CM nightlies (or the virgin AOSP builds) due to the LINARO 4.8 toolchain we use to compile the ROMs. HellKat was first created by DerTeufel during Jellybean and was called Hellybean. We now support several devices and with a new build server we will be able to bring this beautiful ROM to even more devices. If you have another device supported by CM you more than likely can build HellKat for your other device. We have a nice build script so that the hardest part of building HellKat is setting up Ubuntu and an Android developing environement. Checkout our sources at https://github.com/Hellybean/android ​

I will check out hellkat, wish there was a devil kernel for this device. His kernel is amazing on the NoteII.

Someone complained about my screenshots here, which I considered PG-13 (Taylor Momsen on a toilet no nudity was shown) and got me Censored. To bad you cannot censor the screenshot in my link to screenshots. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks to the prude for forcing your morals onto me, I hope you like Yolandi Visser dressed as an angel eating a human heart better.

I have been using TWRP 2.6.1.0 without issue. Couldn't flash my CM11 or HK with 2.6.3.0 on my Herc

Thanks for the warning, but you bringing it up again 5 hours later is what exactly? I put new screen shots up, I hope they like them is all.
I have been on XDA a long time, have had alot of OP's. And have seen way more offensive things posted and never removed. I am over and done with it. Trying to offend was not my purpose. Sharing my work is, and that is my daily driver wallpaper. I can always close this thread and build for a different device if my work is not appreciated or to offensive here. I do not have a jfltetmo, and do not like drama. I do not like being censored, especially when I feel I was following the rules.
Oh and so you know check with TWRP if you like, but 2.5.0.0 does not support SELinux correctly

This rom is very smooth. The only problems I have is the messenging keeps force closing and won't open

I'm not seeing a link in the OP, but is there a HellKat-specific gapps .zip file to use, or do I use a CyanogenMod 11 gapps .zip file?

Something must be up with the new build because coming from another KK ROM that updated yesterday and it has the same problem with no resolution. Stock Messaging FC's and for me at least Hangouts is as well.

I've flashed all the latest ROMs yesterday and this is the only build that has the fc issue

No point in me linking them because someone will always ask about a new or different version. Any 4.4GApps should work. I use this guys gapps-kk-20131111-artcompatible.zip myself.

Installation instructions
1. Download ROM
2. Reboot into recovery.
3. Please back up your ROM before you begin!
4. Wipe data/factory reset / format system, data, cache
5. Flash the ROM
6. Flash GAPPS (Download 4.4 GAPPs from here)
7. Reboot
8. Let it sit a while.

I haven't seen any comments yet ( though I did notice there were several downloads ) - everything seemed to be running well - only issue I encountered was I could not get USB tether to work on my phone

I ran it for a little while with no issues. Pretty stable to me

Running stable other than getting a little battery heat but it hasn't settled in a full 24hrs yet.
Just needing to let my old eyes adjust to the red, blue is just easier since I probably need an eye exam.

I'm really excited about trying this ROM, but did a full wipe and installed, but it was stuck on the bootloader for like 30 minutes. Wasn't looping, but it never got started. How long is the normal wait and any tips to get it going?

does this include the camera fix?
