[ROM][VLDLK4] seeARMS' ROM v0.3 (12/29)

News:
12/29/12 - v0.3 is out. Added extended power menu, 15 toggle mod, and replaced the stock email with AOSP email.
12/27/12 - v0.2 released. A minor update: S Suggest was removed and OTA updates added
12/19/12 - v0.1 - Initial release!
Hello XDA.
Welcome to seeARMS' custom stock ROM. This ROM is based on the official VLDLK4 Bell release. The purpose of this ROM is to provide a functional, high-performance custom ROM with excellent battery life, without sacrificing any features which turn your smartphone into just a phone. This ROM is certainly not a barebones ROM with the majority of apps removed; nor is it a feature-packed ROM with a ton of unnecessary things bogging down your phone. Instead, this ROM opts to be in the middle: it provides a good balance of features and performance.
If you have any questions before, during, or after flashing this ROM, please read the first few posts, as I'll try to be answering the majority of common issues / questions users may have. If, after reading them, your question remains unanswered, then please post in this thread ensuring you're as detailed as possible.
Also, if you have any feature requests, please feel free to let me know.

Addons
Removed Apps
To install any of the removed apps:
1. Download this zip
2. Without extracting, open the zip, and navigate to system/app
3. Delete any apps you don't want to install
4. Copy the zip to your SDcard, boot into CWM recovery, and flash
Installation Instructions
1. Download the latest ROM above
2. Copy the ROM to your SDcard
3. Reboot into recovery
If you're upgrading from an earlier seeARMS' ROM, skip to step 5. If you're coming from a different ROM:
4a. Wipe data/factory reset
4b. Go to mounts and storage, then format /system
5. Flash the zip

This lag is simply Samsung Voice checking to see if you're going to press the home key twice. To get rid of this lag, open S Voice (double press the home button), go to Settings, then uncheck "Open via the home key".

Download the Terminal Emulator app from the play store, and type the following:

Just tried to download this and its saying its only 305 MB. I open the zip up and get an error or unexpected end of archive in winrar. Has anyone else downloaded and flashed successfully? The download matches the md5 but it can't be right. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Uploaded version 0.2 of the ROM, this should fix the issue you're encountering - apparently the ROM didn't upload successfully before.

Thanks for the update and the effort for releasing another great ROM for S3 users. Do we have the AOSP email included in this ROM?

this looks promising Going to give it a go since the current rom I have is no longer being updated. wishlisting the 3/4 reboot menu features too

ROM is running great. When I flashed it, I lost my recovery somehow. The other thing I noticed, it is the i747M base. I didn't notice it in the OP but all is running good. Thanks for your work.

This ROM is more or less a debloated stock GE. No mods really. Just a clean ROM so you can add to it as you wish.

To keep Wallet working with the i9505g build.prop, use Nottach but some people have reported problems with Nottach.

Only change to the newest ROM is that I removed root so you don't have to upgrade. Just flash Chainfire's SuperSU to root. He made some major changes so everyone should flash it now!

Thanks for the ROM. Running on my SGH-I337 with no problems. You might want to consider adding supersu back in. Otherwise you need to run something independent of ROM for initial root. Supersu can't be installed without root to begin with. Play store can take care of the upgrading.
EDIT: Btw, I flashed http://download.chainfire.eu/343/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.45.zip ala CWM to get initial root.

I've been think about it, going back and forth. If you can flash the ROM, might as well flash the latest SuperSU too, so users don't get much out of including a possibly outdated SuperSU in the ROM. On the other hand, users don't lose anything either. Maybe I'll include it again but I'm gonna leave it out for now.

I'm not sure. I've never experienced the bug and have never received any complaints about it.

Updated. I updated this because OmniBeam doesn't work with 4.3 and I like the app enough to stay with 4.2.2.
Rooted with SuperSU 1.60

I added a reboot menu even though it departs from stock because really there was no reason not to include it. It's only a few dozen lines of code and very useful.

How is it running? I know the 4.2 gpe is getting battery life.

I think its actually 6.3 kernel version 3.0.100 I used your lastest blasphemy stable source

You might wanna put that this is AOSP only, considering the kernel might wanna put the specific version this is intended for (4.2.2?)

Data drops seem to be a persistent problem with TMO users on 4.3. Not sure if anyone has found a solution yet.

My sim card does not get detected when I flash MJ6. I have the MJ6 modem, and when I check mobile settings for APN, says I need to insert SIM card. I have I337 using AT&T with IMEI number intact.
This occurred using 1.0 and 1.1. I did a clean flash multiple times with wiping data/cache/dalvik cache each time. When I revert back to nandroid of MF3 or Google Play 4.3, my signal comes back.
Anyone else have this happening?

Have you verified the apn settings?

Can't, when I try to access from the menu, it says I need a sim card. I know the card I have is good, it works again when I revert to backup. I tried removing and putting back the sim too while I was on the 1.1 build.

You aren't alone with this problem, there's something wrong and I had similar issues and some more folks too. If you check graviton ROM thread you will see some posts describing the same issue with screen shots.

follow install instructions in the OP, AT&T users must flash loki doki assuming the bootloader lets them, please provide feedback.

Nice Dan. Was running dandroid on my s3 before I got the s4. Was wondering when I'd see some of your work over here. Jumped ship to att? Glad I can still run att roms on t mobile but I always come back to t mobile roms because of wifi calling. Downloading now to play around.

/storage/emulated/0/DCIM/camera
To

Works perfect..

Wonderful ROM Dan, Thanks for the upload. Great speed, and everything seems to work with no issues so far. can't get the Kitkat launcher to work yet, keeps requesting for google search even after installing, but I'm sure i can fix that.
It sucks to own the an expensive smartphone and yet be the last to get a routine update, damn Samsung.
Just a noob question if you don't mind. The only feature of TW i love is the Samsung link app. the fact that it flawlessly connects to my laptop for file exploration is just amazing. so is there anyway to install it on this ROM? I can live without it, but life would not really be the same.

Do you mean Kies via wifi? If so, check out Airdroid. PM me if you have any questions.
