You can take a screenshot by pressing VOL-DOWN + POWER BUTTON at the same time, I think the only way to make it reappear will be editing the .smali file in android_policy the same way that's done to add a reset button...

Thanks for Vol-Down + Power
Edit the .smali file is too hard for me

Too Many Pattern Attempts. Solution - Phone is locked. Can't login with email either

Thought I would share this with you all after spending two days trying to unlock my wifes phone!
Before you peform this unlock you must remove the sim card and sd card or it will not reset!
With the phone turned of, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefy press the POWER button.
Wait for the screen with the 3 Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
Press VOLUME DOWN to select CLEAR STORAGE, and then press POWER.
When asked to confirm, press VOLUME UP
Restore settings and contacts from the sd card and you're away!
i just had to wait like 30sec to try the pattern again after too many goes. i think.
i must admit tho, i was very, very drunk.
This was work for me:

Press Home key and Power on key together- you will see three options
reboot
apply sdcard:update.zip
factory reset
Select factory resset with track ball and click as required.
Hope that helps someone.
You Don't Have To Flash...
Try this:
It was all about this "Two-Step Verification" security of google!
I tried everything... and I mean EVERYTHING (except flashing my XooM), but at the edge of giving up, I signed into my google account and issued an "Application Specific Password" for Xoom from my Google account.
I used my [email protected] with that Application Specific Password and it worked. (do not enter spaces in the password)
Let me know if it worked
Savalan
thanx
took 2 mins to complete cheers man
Thankfull

To root is not simply by pressing buttons but something like changing permission. Check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1317394
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium
And flashing the file through recovery may be an easier way if compared to adb
Just copy the rooting file, which is in the link provided by iCloud, to your internal SD card (named update.zip if not mistaken)
Then go into recovery
Remember to let go the power button once the phone is switched on and just continue pressing the home & the volume button (or else it will keep on rebooting if you didn't release the power button after it's switched on)
After you saw the Android with the box
Press the menu button (button left to the home button)
The screen will turn dim a bit
Wait a while
The menu will pop out
Choose apply sdcard: update.zip
Choose the update.zip file
Reboot after it's done
Good luck
