how many backups do you have? 1 backup on this phone is atleast 1.5gb, if not 2.5gb.

Looks like I have three in there. When I tried to delete the oldest one it wouldn't let me.
Thanks for the reply
Any old file manager should allow you to delete twrp backups.
As to backup size it entirely depends on what rom you are running, and how much stuff you have.

I agree with the above posts. I take my old nandroids and move them on to my PC, just in case.

Im having my GS3 replaced due to dead pixels, and i was wondering if its safe to restore a nandroid to another device of the same model?
I don't see why not. Could always restore just selective parts, i.e. the data partition if you're not sure about it.

It worked. Cause i use twrp, i had to move it to a new folder with my device ID or something(had to make a new backup to see a folder made).
I need to recover bunch of photos from my GNEX after fail 4.2 update, like full retard i wiped my whole phone with the 4.2 update and now i need to make an image of my sdcard to later use it in disk recovery program. Can anybody give me idea how to do that? The process would be much easier if mass storage was active...

Hey guys,
I hope you're all doing great. So my problem here is that I cracked my Note 2 (tmobile) screen, talked to samsung, they said they will fix it but at the same time they have to erase everything on the system. So since I have so much saved on it and i literally use it for everything. I was wondering if there is a way to back up an exact image of the system which I can save on my laptop and I can recover later?
I would really appreciate the help.
Thank you.:good:
Make a nandroid with clockwork mod or twrp and copy your /sd folder to your external sd Make sure the nandroid backup is also on your extsd.... or copy it all to your laptop.

Are you backing up to your external sdcard? The internal gets remapped in cm roms so that may be the issue.

I'm not familiar with RomToolbox, so I can not comment on it.
TB is only for apps. Use it once your have flashed your rom. Be aware though, it's not always good idea to restore apps when switching roms. Sometimes things have been moved and can make things can sideways. Also, if you are saving your TB backups to your SD card, you need to tell TB where the backups are. Once it sees them, then you can do the restore. I find I have to tell it to scan the whole device for it to find the directory on the SD card.
