I've been trying to email my resume to myself so I have it on my phone\tablet. When I try to open it, it says the file is corrupted. This happens on my phone and tablet. It's happened on any Rom that I've tried. And, I've also tried different word viewing apps.
Anybody have any ideas? Could it be something with saving it through email?

What are you using to edit/create your resume? I use google drive/docs as well as Kingsoft office and have no issues. Perhaps it is worth trying with Kingsoft?

The resume was created in ms word.

What are you using on your phone/tablet to view it? Are you mailing it through Gmail? If so, you could just upload it through docs/drive and try viewing it that way.

I tried a few different apps. I was downloading through k9 mail.
I fixed it by changing the format from .doc to .docx. it's not opening like normal. Thanks for the quick replies tho.

Stock touchwiz
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA Premium App
I had the same issues on that ROM.
I just downloaded the email app called k9 mail for free from the market, and was able to setup and access my email without an issue.
There seems to be a problem with the stock email app, supposed to be fixed in the next version of the ROM.
Ahh i see
I tried k9 before i just didnt like it
Ill update to eco5
Thanks for all the help you guys
I am very grateful

I wasn't able to find the Samsung Account app I was looking and ended up uninstalling the app. However, every hour or so, my phone starts downloading this file again. I'll stop and cancel the download, but after a period of time, my phone tries to download the file again.
Is this happening to anybody else?

The link is Samsung account apk.. You might have to use adb to install it or sign the app and install it..let me know if you got through..

I tried to find people, but I have no clue how to add friends. Do they have to have the app?
They do have to have the app and once you find out if they have it or not, you can add them by their phone number. Best app ever.

You set permissions to rw-r-r?
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Yes, that is how the permissions are set. I notice that every app in that app folder has an odex file to go along with the .apk. do i perhaps need one of those files too?
Or maybe i need to set the servers up manually for hotmail and yahoo. Anyone willing to share those settings?
I know i know why in the heck do i have a hotmail and yahoo account. I use them for junk mail.

Oh yeah stock rom is odexed...here's another option for you. Download the odexed version of OpTimuS ROM and extract the email app and it's odex file and then try pushing those to your system/app folder. I'm on the deodexed version or else I'd do it.
