Ok so as for mod request, here is the thread. If you have any question please post it here.
Remember it's my first work so i can't do miracles.
The main things i'm looking at right now are:
- battery life
- shortcut for usb storage
If you have any idea/suggestion it's all welcome!
about the battery life
the z launcher is eating the battery no doubt
i've used xperia launchers before and they can be really battery hungry
just my two cents
usb connection does not work

It does work, you need to enable mass storage from settings. The shortcut in status bar is a feature of cm and aosp I guess. I'm looking for a short cut though

In some places where 3g signal is not available, the phone is not switching to 2g network automically, instead it looses signal. So I tried airplane mode on & off, but as I touched the airplane check box got hot reboot instantly. Still no signal. Finally switched off removed and reinserted SIM card and booted. Now signal came back. It is reproducible. Anybody any advice?

USB connection Issue

Secondly I am having problems in accessing my SD card for media transfers. I have followed your instructions and have done the following:
1) Connected USB
2) USB debgging Mode activated
3) Went to Storage in settings
but there is no option to enable SD card there jux statistics on my internal and external storage. Please advise as I do not wish to get rid of this beautifull ROM

Another Noob Question but I am unable to customize sound effects in walkman software.. like enabling clear audio or equalizers. Kindly guide what needs to be done to access those options. Thanks for the support
sorry found it..
Clear audio is enabled by default so you can't really change it. The new build has xloud+dps manager

Does this happen to anyone else? Quite often if I've been using the N2 in my home, when I go out and about my phone will not be connected to mobile data (3G) and I have to toggle airplane mode for it to kick in?

Not had this myself, sounds like the cellular connection is going to sleep and not waking when your note 2 polls for a connection. Are you on a stock rom or a custom, can you post your android version number as well, will help anyone else who posts who may have more information for you.
If your rooted you could try pulling a log at the time you switch connections see if that yields any useful data.
Same here on a german device. I use manually select the Provider. Then it connect. Thank you for the tip with the airplane mode. But I search a way to kick this big. In a german forum a member says that a Fullwipe helps.

Its a stock rooted ROM version JRO03C.N7100XXALJ1
Can anyone tell me what to look for in order to create a log? (I don't expect a tutorial just someone point me in the right direction).
The problem is intermittent.

Give this a go, should allow you to create a log during the time you have the problem then you can see what android is or is not doing at the time.

Not something I have had myself but my gf has this same problem with her gs3. After having a look around our seems to be fairly common on the gs3 so any help with a fix would be great. I can only assume that it's something that will be fixed with a fw update from Samsung.

I have the same issue and so does my girlfriend on her SIII.. Can be really annoying as I might leave somewhere with wifi connectivity expecting the phone to automatically connect to 3g and I miss things like whatsapp messages with no warning :/
When I realise I do use the flight mode trick to fix it but it's annoying that it happens.

From Google...
"Have you ever lost your phone in between the couch cushions or forgot it in a restaurant? Or maybe searching for your phone before you rush out the door is part of your morning routine? Let the new Android Device Manager help you out! It's one of a few simple features you can use to keep your device—and the data you store inside—safe and secure.
Locate and ring your misplaced device
If you ended up dropping your phone between those couch cushions, Android Device Manager lets you quickly ring your phone at maximum volume so you can find it, even if it's been silenced. And in the event that your phone or tablet is out of earshot (say, at that restaurant you left it at last night), you can locate it on a map in real time.
Protecting your personal information and data
While losing your phone can be stressful, Android Device Manager can help you keep your data from ending up in the wrong hands. If your phone can’t be recovered, or has been stolen, you can quickly and securely erase all of the data on your device.
Availability and getting started
This service is now available on devices running Android 2.2 or above; to use it, you also will need to be signed into your Google Account. There will also be an Android app to allow you to easily find and manage your devices. Stay tuned!"
How to start using
*note: This is not a standalone app. Google is pushing the update in batches so you may not have access to it yet.
1. Navigate to Settings > Security > Device Administrators and check the box Android Device Manager and hit activate
2. Check to see if access to Android Device Manager is in your Google Settings application.
3. Go here on your computer's web browser and test it.
If you don't see access to it in your Google Settings app, its likely that the feature is not yet available to you.

Data wipe is working too. Phone reboots, enters in recovery, and wipes everything.
I currently have disabled this feature. Too nervous about someone else being able to remotely wipe my phone.

Yeah, I know it ain't that awful.
I've just always questioned the practicality of tracking apps since GPS is notoriously poor through obstructions.
Only the remote wipe is of interest to me IF it works with custom recoveries.

I have had very little success with Android Device Manager on my wife's HTC One X. And in fact, it seems to be these find-my-phone apps in general, since Cerberus can also not locate her device 90% of the time either.
She's current running Maximus HD, and before that, Cyanogenmod 10.1 and 10.2.
If I was a betting man, I would say that the problem is that the phone is going into a deep-sleep and not responding to GCM requests. Any ideas at all?
Power Button + Vol- then go to recovery choose wipe -> factory reset Lol
smartboy_anu, thank you for this information. I tested it with my HOX (ARHD 31.2), and it's working. :good:
My comment here is - this is very handy and convenient, but I find it really scary! There goes our privacy to the toilet.

Just noticed this a couple days ago, but when I go to the stock battery manager app, where it shows you mobile network, wifi, awake, screen on, charging, it shows as wifi being on the whole entire time even when it is off the entire time. Anyone else have this issue? I am wondering if the phone is using up extra battery due to wifi being on but not really being on if that makes any sense.

I'm currently experiencing the same issue however my fiancé's note 3 is not. I have had this issue in the past although it was on a Razr Maxx Hd. The device was erased/reset with no result. Sim card replaced with no result and finally they replaced the device and that seemed to resolve the issue. I just noticed it a few days ago and I'm just checking everything to make sure I'm not missing anything, but I'm stumped.

Trying to use the otg for trail camera pics off an sd card. Used "otg helper" and "stick mount" both with same result. Does not see a device to mount. No power to card reader (led indicator on reader). Piggy backed a second standard USB cable to use power from laptop to verif operation. If it worked I was going to get a portable power supply for use in the field.
Anyone been able to use the otg?
Any thought on on why my setup doesn't work?
Suggestions on things to try?

Nope that didn't work either. Tried just otg helper, just stick mount, kernal tuner with both kernel versions, with and without y cable. No device found in all scenarios. Now back to original Random Rom kernel. In kernel tuner with both kernel versions the turn on otg would not stay selected on. With patchas there was a fast charge option I selected to verify that a selection would stay as requested, which it did.
Does it hurt the phone to be flashing multiple packages?

Also seeking some elaboration here - what are "issues right away" please? What actually happens? Have you waited until you get the RCB service started notification?
Its supposed to restart the radio at first run and at every subsequent boot. Also it is not possible to uninstall it without rebooting - to remove the daemon, a reboot is necessary.

The screen shot I posted happened right away. Then starts the lag. I waited a bit and noticed the radio going on and off on and off very often with phone just sitting. When I uninstalled I cleared the app then removed it rebooted radio was still going nuts.
