every stock based rom like from me or balli or music soul have dual sim working...
if u r rooted then remove the bloatwares...it will certainly improve the battery...

Battery life can also be improved by closing background running apps
You can also hibernate apps by using greenify app which hibernate user apps.
You can also hibernate system apps in donate version of greenify

Remove everything starting with samsung using link2SD. Block Gtalk also if you are not using it.........it drains the battery a lot.

If you don't want to root then no one can guarantee battery back up. Samsung bloatwares itself consumes A lot of battery.... Even u will feel lags because of bloatwares.. Rooting never harms your phone....

Hello
Try rooting your phone removing system apps you don't use or change firmware try cyanogen there is a rom for our devices here in the android development section.
How is the battery backup now? Has it improved or is it just the same.
Battery backup is one of the biggest reasons I switched to CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM. My phone almost runs for 2 days straight on 2G network.
Updating the firmware on your phone won't make Subway Surfer compatible with the phone. The app development team at the game development should make it compatible with our phone. Just because an app is incompatible in the playstore doesn't mean it won't run properly on the phone. It might be that the company developing the app hasn't tested it on our phone model, or a similar model and hence they show it incompatible. It might run absolutely fine. You won't know until you try it!
Anyways, the game runs fine on the phone. Just download the apk from the Web through some website and install it.

That's not the exact reason..game developers support only flagship company like Mali, power vgr, adreno.. They don't want to support broadcom chipset.. That's y it's incompatible..

I think that for better battery savings more than one app should be installed.
Greenify. Reducing wakelocks and keeping CPU usage as low as possible + longer standby sessions = win.
Greenify n Qualcomm Battery Guru... Greenify made a big difference.. QBG seems like a normal battery saver app..
But, for example : Freezing apps with Titanium is better than hibernating the apps with Greenify ? Does Greenify do the job 100 % ? I mean freezing must have up's and down's ofcourse, but when you want to open an app from a frozen state, it will open normally without any bugs ? I agree that Greenify it's the best out there ,but what I'm trying to say/ask is if it is ok to froze an app.

You would freeze system apps that you don't need. While use greenify to hibernate apps that you do you but don't need running when the screen is off. Such as Facebook or maps.
If greenify doesn't let you hibernate apps cause they are system apps, use titanium backup to convert them to user apps. Or delete the app, eg facebook or maps and then reinstall it from the market

I have this option in Titanium : Integrate updates of system apps into ROM. Is that option the right option to integrate those apps into ROM? Or that option integrates only the apps updates? Well, I just found out, don't do it, don't integrate, it will mess up your phone. Apps will start disappear from where you put them, and so on, it sucks big time.

I am running the paid version of titanium backup not sure if that makes a different. But if you select an app there is an option to "covert to system app" or "concert to user app" but obviously you should only do it for apps that you understand.
Your easiest solution is to reflash or install your rom but without clearing or wiping your user data, so just system files are replaced. Or use a backup of you have one

[Q] "Media" processes drains battery

Hi guys, I just want to ask if you do have a solution for my device's issue. Ive been looking for the resolution but i cant find a decent one. Im having a problem with "media" processes that drains my battery. Ive found "mediaserver" fix but i dont think they are the same. Ive attached here the image of the process. and if you do have the list of the processes that are safe to turn off as well as safe to freeze in titanium backup, i just want to ask for the links if you do have.. by the way im using NOTE II GT-N7105 and with e-team's rom DN3 3.1 and AGNI kernel 3.9.3 permissive.. thanks in advanced guys

Clean master takes up a buttload of Ram. It kind of defeats the purpose of boostinf your ram. Maybe it does but only for a second. I used power clean as I noticed it really cleaned up the junk but that also hogs ram. Atm im using Super Clean. Never heard of n it but so far its good on ram and cleans up the junk and then some if u want. Itll take u to where u Can clean it. And i use the preinstalled smart manager. Once i usem both then i Greenifiy them apps.. whatever works for u I guess

Rooted - now what?

I'm just curious as to what everybody has done now that they've rooted their tablets?

Well played
Big one for me is getting up and running quick with Titanium Backup restores. Bought before root was out this time but normally.
Disabling stuff too.
Adblock plus, Lucky patcher
Also upgrade Google Maps back to 6.14.4 is a huge one on my phone. Not so much on the tablet but I may use it in the car more. Will need My Maps for travel.
Custom ROM's when they are out.
Probably forgetting something.

I've never rooted a Samsung device before. Is it worth it to do now or wait until there are roms available? Do you worry about warranty if you find a hardware issue?
How much would you say debloating helped with speeding up your device? Does it fix the delay from when you press the home button and the animation running? Does it smooth out the stuttering in animations?

How will you use google map/navigator on the tablet? Is your table with 4G? As far as I know google map requires network access.
I am using CoPilot for navigating in the car. It uses downloaded maps.
With my phone I have been using google navigation but I did not like it too much. It is too insistent with its idea of where to go. It will only
recalculate the route after many miles passed its suggested direction. I had this issue in highway, it may be different in city navigation.
I rooted my S 8.4 wifi (T700) and cleaned bloatware.. now I would like to install twrp or cwm.. to make a backup and play deeper with the toy..
Has anyone done it already? Any different from other androids?
Thx.
@Peter234: Probably tethering. I have zero problems using my Note 3 as a hotspot. I also think that Google Maps will let you 'cache' a route as well; IIRC it's one of the Labs features.

Debloating doubles your battery life, and the device will always respond much faster because those running system apps eat up a lot of RAM and CPU power. After I did a massive debloat, the lag and stuttering pretty much went away.
You can also install root apps, which can speed up your RAM, prolong battery life, and improve performance. My favorites are Greenify, SD Booster, and Autokiller.
http://www.phonearena.com/news/Got-ROOT-Here-are-the-root-Android-apps-you-must-try_id46065
De bloating does not double your battery life not even nearly double. Also 80% free RAM is no quicker than 20% free RAM. Sure, improvements can be had but let's keep things in the realm of reality here.
