Ok so i have noticed something, I'm in virginia beach and my data speeds are faster when charging. Also they slowdown as the battery goes down. I did 3 speed test while at 45% 30% 15% and my speeds where 0.55 mbps 0.25 mbps and 0.01 mbps. Now I'm charging and i did 3 test (same app and my phone is in the same location) and just got 1.01 mbps 1.10 mbps and 1.35 mbps. So does the amount of voltage in the battery affect the amount of power to the radio? This is the first phone it's done it on..... Like my CPU doesn't get slower as the battery goes down so why are my data speeds?
Edit: I'm on the LG8 modem. Those where my download speeds.

I noticed that I had data problems when my battery was very low. I was wondering the same thing. I actually had what seemed to be my modem not even working when the battery was super low. Like data locked up completely.

here is the whole link http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/...network-visionlte-deployment-schedule-update/
but the part to look at is this:
"If Sprint waits for 50% completion to launch the Norfolk market, it would make the launch month to be November (should the OEM stay on schedule). If they plan on a 40% market completion for launch, that would be October. You may think that 40% - 50% site completion is not enough to launch LTE service, but it would provide pretty good coverage."
so depending on how much of the towers will be LTE means how long we have to wait.... it will be before 2013 and before December 2012
EDIT: a sprint rep told me we would have WiMax in 2011 (actually it was around this time that we would be getting it), look where we are now.....

I have a tower, that's getting LTE, across the street from my neighborhood.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
So about mud day yesterday, I was watching YouTube, all of a sudden everything started buffering no matter what video I watched. Downloaded a couple files and speeds were only 30kB/s. Didn't think anything of it. Thought it was the host. Didn't do much else but use tapatalk and noticed things were a but slow. Did a speed test and it shot up to like 300kB/s then hovered around 30-50kB/s felt that awfully strange.. as that's what would happen on my old throttle plan.
So I went to bed not thinking of it.
Got up this morning and speeds were the same. Stayed the same for the entire day til I got fed up and called T-Mobile. They "said" I wasn't being throttled. And after I *****ed they "reset" my phone on their network and things were back to normal.
Has anyone else experienced like symptoms? I'd hate to think they went this low to throttle us..
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
Are you sure you have the truly unlimited 4G plan... Or the unlimited data with let's say 2gb, 5gb or 10gb of 4G data.
If you have the truly unlimited data then you shouldn't be throttled. But if you have one of the other three plans where they cap the 4G data then they throttle you after that certain point.
Or maybe t mobile was having issues with your tower and had to reset the connection?

17 gigs? I really don't see how most people can go over 5 without tethering. I use my phone constantly and I've never gone over 2. Even with what I use on wifi, which might be another 2gb, is still not even 5gb's. So, I can only ASSUME you have been tethering, and they figured it out. That would explain the throttle.

You get 100 uses of tethering anyhow. Then they block you. But as psykhotic said get Netflix and watch HD movies and then tell me how much data you use. Not to mention you can download torrents via your phone. And I never use WiFi except for when transferring files to my phone.
But irregardless, it's unlimited, there shouldn't be a throttle period.

No not 100 uses of tethering.
You can use 100 MB before the block you if you already used the work around on the software they have on the phone.
The program by default on the phone though will actually block you right away.
Unless you use a custom APN then you get blocked after 100 MB.
If you change your User Agent on your browser the the User agent of the phone and you won't get blocked.

Soooo.... why not factory reset while on wifi? I don't understand why people treat the network as a substitute for a home network?
And streaming music doesn't use that much data, you'd have to watch 8 or 10 movies on Netflix to hit a gig. Don't tell me you watch 10 movies a week on your phone. I feel sorry for your eyes.
It is the abuse of the system that will do nothing but raise data rates for all of us. Thanks alot people, enjoy your rerun's of Charles in Charge.
Netflix even on the phone does use more then that. A 2 hour movie would be about 600 mb for that one move.

Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
3G average speeds are about 3 Mb/s, so lets do some math! 33.5 GB=about 268Gbs. 268 times 1000=268000. 268000 divided by 3, giving you the amount of seconds it would hypothetically take. You get 89333.3. You divide that by 60 for one whole minute and should get 1488.88, which you divide by 60, to find out how many hours it would take to download at that speed. Which is 24.814 hours. There you have it, not very plausible.

Right. My mistake. I just tried a converter, and to download 11 GB an hour, you need atleast 26Mbps sustained, and on AT&T 4G LTE, average of 36 Mbps is quite the norm for me. So it is actually possible. Thanks Rani.

Try the other APN.
Two are listed from bell.
When in Vancouver or Kingston/ Toronto I can go on XDA over the network...
But when I am in Belleville Ontario I can't connect to XDA for example.
pda.bell.ca has given me issues at times and I have better luck with inet.bell.ca
Next time I am in a XDA dead zone I'll switch around my apns and see if that helps.
But I am sure inet.bell.ca I'd the better one.

Also, the international calling plan will change for the better, allowing better rates for calling to cell phones. I'll update this when I learn more.

A little bird told me starting on the 28th JUMP will no longer have a 6 month (180 day) waiting period to upgrade! You will also be able to upgrade an UN-Limited number of times per year!
Also, the international calling plan will change for the better, allowing better rates for calling to cell phones. I'll update this when I learn more.

I would say the first part about the Jump program is true but not the 2nd. It would be a bad business model and money loser for T-Mobile to allow any and everyone to upgrade unlimited times a year. The only way I could see this happen is if they reward their customers who have been here through all the BS like me, Ive been with T-Mobile since 2003, but I doubt it.
Well you can keep your grandfathered features, but customers always have unrealistic expectations. Not saying that yours are. And I would read post #6 in this thread, it kinda helps explain how the changes work. I honestly prefer the original JUMP plan.

The terms have not been finalized as per TMOBILE. What was posted/leaked was a rough draft. Noting is set in stone yet
TWEAKED 2.0 NOTE 3
Appears that the initial jump program might be better.

This is per management at T-Mobile. This will be happening, you will be able to keep your old JUMP plan if you wish, however.

So 2 questions...
1 is the 50% cost based on price new or current value?
2 will grandfathered customers be required to enter the new terms upon a JUMP into a new phone with EIP?

It would be half of purchased price.
Well I would assume not, if an account already has JUMP on it, we upgrade your phone through a separate system built for JUMP. If I find out differently I'll update the thread accordingly.

Any ideas how the international call to cell phone will be?

Kinda how I'm feeling as well. My wife and I got in early too. Although when the fine details are announced we'll actually know more.

My understanding is that there will be more free countries to call from mobile to mobile, and better rates in general. This is how it was explained to me.
