Request Mod edge zoom - One (M7) Themes and Apps

Any one able to help out. A feature in my Samsung I really liked was edge zoom(slide your finger on the edge of the screen and it would zoom in or out). I liked it. Some people didn't.

One finger zoom.

How can you disable this function?
I just want to scroll and not zoom when I slide my finger up and down on the left side. I have looked every where for a setting to disable this annoyance..

I actually just noticed this when trying to highlight text in an email...I use chrome and it doesn't zoom with the one finger so I never noticed it, 2 weeks later and still learning about this phone lol
my guess is that you have one-handed operation on. If you take that off I bet it will stop zooming with one finger.
Still does it with one hand operation off.

Cool I can zoom with one finger. Love this feature now since I only scroll from the middle of the screen.
Still no disabling of this feature?
One Finger Zoom
It is a simple to use application to ZOOM on your images with a simple touch, while maintaining the resolution of your images. One tap to zoom and move in different areas of the picture! All the details, with the original resolution, are now at your (one) finger, one touch and there you go!
you can download it from Slideme Market
Spam ^^ . Dolphin beta doesn't have the slide zoom thankfully.
Still can't figure out how to stop the scrolling on edges....

Thank goodness for AOSP. I'm on AOKP and couldn't stand this feature on Stock based roms.

I don't have any of the one handed options enabled and it zooms for me from one finger near the edge of the screen.

[Q] Is there a way to disable the zoom effect whle slding up and dn the screen edges?

Any help with the above question would be appreciated.
I also have this issue a lot when browsing. Maybe it's just a sick browser issue?

Same here. I hate that slide zoom feature in the web browser but im sure its intended to work that way. I bet a dev could modify the browser apk to get rid of that.
I know if you stay away from the edges it won't do it. But it does get kinda annoying. I've read this was a change in JB due to the whole Apple lawsuit crap.

this sucks. hate this too

Well I don't know about you folks but I like it. Specially when using the phone single handed.

is there a way to set it to just one side instead of both?

Use Chrome. ..IMO far superior browsing experience. Side zoom isn't an issue

My S3 does the same thing and its really annoying. I would use Chrome but that permanent address bar is really annoying especially in landscape. Plus the stock browser is faster.
I always tended to scroll the page at the very edge of the phone so that finger oil doesn't gloss over the text I'm trying to read...lol
Cool feature. I didn't know you could do that as I've been using Chrome which is awesome IMO, but this feature alone may make me use the stock browser from time to time. I do wish that when companies added features like this they would provide an option for users to be able to enable/disable as not everyone is going to like it.
I'm on LK8 and it doesn't have the scroll edges in the stock browser.

Good to know. I'll try to extract the LK8 browser.Apk
if it works, post for us

I didn't think it had to do with a specific browser since it does it in all three I use.

[Q] stock browser question

when browsing a webpage in the middle to bottom right hand corner, when i go to scroll the webpage down it zooms in on the page, is this a feature? I have a ZAGG HD screen protector on the screen. Does anyone elses Note 2 do the same thing?
Yep, I guess it's a "feature", and I've had it happen in other apps as well. I hate it - I'm always hitting it by mistake. I wish someone would figure out how to make a mod to disable it!

Honestly.....

Why does Google do such weird things all the time? I know other people have to think the same thing about why they design an OS the way they do. For instance clicking the clock in the status bar takes u to time settings instead of clock or calendar(when we all have auto time enabled)? And I'm pretty sure(at least I hope) its a bug, but the stupid new camera rotation is beyond dumb. And why they took the so much fun camera effects out, I may never know... I do love Google but just question their Dev team sometimes... sometimes a lot
But that is why we have these wonderful devs across the forums. I can't thank you guys/gals enough!!!!

I have to ask, why would you need to click on a clock to take you to another clock?

LOL Maybe he means alarm settings which is inside clock app

The slow camera rotation is intentional. The Android Dev team spoke about it. As for camera effects, I don't know how many people actually used them. Sure, Mac users seem to use them quite a bit, but I don't know about Android users.

Yea I meant alarms.. Lol. Or even clock app would be smart
Why on EARTH would u want camera lag when changing the phone orientation... Then u end up missing Ur shot!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
The rotation lag doesn't bug me too much. It usually takes a second or less to rotate. I usually know what orientation I want my picture to be, so I'll press the camera app in that orientation.

Just lock rotation when you want to use your camera, if you are using a rom with toggle rotation it wont be that hard to press a toggle.
I personally always disabled rotation, and only enabled it when i want to use it.

Another thing that bothers me is app drawer. the black background is still stuck in the Gingerbread era.
If I lock rotation to to a pic in landscape its going to take the picture in portrait but I guess u could just rotate it in the gallery... But still useless as fuhk. I'd rather deal with the lag of swiping to my pictures than the actual camera itself... Come one Google... You're better than this... Back to 4.1 camera I am

IMO the black background is nice to quickly identify icons. U know u can always use third party launchers to change that..

Has this phone sth like SmartStay?

Hi
I'm wondering if the LG has this function what Samsung calls "smartstay"? The front cam scans your eye and checks if you are still looking at the screen. This way the screen will stay on and you don't have to switch it in on again in case you exceeded the screen timeout time, which can be very annoying. I really love this feature on my old S3....

Ya it does.
You can hit thank you and close the thread.
