[Q] Unrooting issues ( Screwed up my phone) - HTC One V

I had recently rooted my phone and had also unlocked the bootloader, then i started to get bored of it since the custom rom has lots of bugs so i wanted to get back to my stock rom, so i installed a edited stock rom. AAfter which my phone automatically got unrooted. and started to face lots of hanging issues. so a friend of mine said that i should proabably relock the bootloader after which my phone will automatically reset to factory rom. i had no idea of what i was doing but i installed some fastboot files, placed the on the desktop, open the CMD manager and wrote
:
Fastboot oem lock
fastboot reboot
So now the main problem is my phone wont start its hangin at the bootloader screen only not going ahead
its showing =
****Relocked****
******Security warning*******
Can anyone help me revive my phone to how it was ?

I don't know what to do in technical way, but, (yes this may sound crazy) if you still have warranty, them you could try something like dropping or I don't know what so that you can send it then back and let it be repaired

[Q] Htc wildfire rooting issue

Ok so guys i had just rooted my htc wildfire s (or atleast thought i rooted it ) and was trying to install a cyanogen mod ROM , it would not install ,if it would install it would be stuck at the htc logo screen , now i thought this would be the fault of recovery so i decided to install another recovery and flash that with cmd (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) but then when i booted in recovery it would show me the pink recovery, i got a little scared and flashed another recovery and now the recovery will not even boot . it will just go on htc logo and black screen , i tried many different recoveries but no avail , it is in s-on right now , please forgive me if this sounds noobish i really am a noob at this .please provide me with a solution and tell me if it is bricked and if i can repair it by taking it to a software shop and asking them to do it for me (Just advise me if i can come back from this)
Flash the first recovery, which actually worked, and if it installs, wipe everything and flash a basic CM7 rom. It'll work. It's just soft bricked don't worry.

actually i gave it to a software store , he said he couldn't do it as the files were not to be found ... i think it might have been bricked but seeing as i can access h-boot only and when i turn on the phone it only stays on the htc logo screen and does not proceed can you call this bricked . ? i tried the first recovery as you mentioned but it was no use ... i tried relocking and unlocking bootloader again but it seems as if that was unnecessary as nothing different happened .. im still waiting for an answer
This is really very weird.

Start from square one, unlock the bootloader, flash the recovery, if one doesn't install, try another, at least one will surely work, and then flash a new rom.
All the best.
Remember, android can never be bricked, there is always a way out.

[Q] Bootloader changed by itself?

Super long story short, handshake between 3G/4G wasn't wokring on 4.4.4 Liquid on Toro gnex so i used This guide to revert back to the highest stock build and try a different rom. Since i had the newest bootloader already installed, i didn't flash it.
Everything worked great, booted fine. I wanted to then get CWM installed. While getting to the bootloader, i noticed its the stock bootloader, or what looks to be stock. And now ADB cannot talk to my phone, thus no CWM, thus no root, thus no other roms to install. What do i do?
crap
Oh ****, looks like i dont' know anything about anything. I read somewhere i needed to hold down and power to get to the bootloader. When i did that i brought me to that unfamilure screen that said 'odin' at the top.
When i held up and down and power, it brought me to my original bootloader - the one i didn't flash. So how the **** are there 2 of them and how bad is this?

LOL
Dude chill out your phone is acting completely normal.
Even when using a custom rom you retain the original bootloader.
ADB is not supposed to work from within the bootloader.
You need to use Fastboot to flash a custom recovery from the bootloader screen.
Once you have a custom recovery you can flash a ROM.
So Google how to fastboot a recovery onto your device.
The Odin screen that you saw can be used along side the Odin program to return your device to stock if you wish to do so.

Thanks for the info. I ended up getting an odd red exclamation mark during startup to the updated bootloader. Restarted and got stock up and running. Reflashed to slimkat, and finally my radios are working correctly. Cheers

[Q] Flashed incorrect kernel on One M8 no screen response whatsoever

I tried flashing a kernel believed to be ExcaliBur on my HTC One M8, but as soon as i rebooted the screen was black yet still on.
I know it's not bricked completely because i can still hear sounds, feel vibrations and see the LED's work properly. Basically I have a "blind" phone. I have began to look into a way to capture my screen one frame at a time with my computer.
Please help me!
Running Android 4.4.4 Cyanogenmod Snapshot 11
T-Mobile
TWRP 2.8.0.3
Tried getting back to bootloader and flashing back the boot.img you had before flashing new kernel?
If the device still has "some" interaction then you should be able to connect it to PC and use the adb reboot bootloader command to boot it into bootloader.

I actually DID just get into my bootloader. I had to mess around by pressing the buttons until i finally got it to boot into bootloader. Now I flashed a stock kernel for now, I always keep it in my SD Card.
I found you can use a program called Wondershare MobileGo for Android that can read whatever is on your phone if you happen to be "blind" like me.
P.S. I really need a kernel for CMod that has fast charge. Currently ExcaliBur is off the list.
I haven't heard of Wondershare MobileGo, seems interesting.
I can't help with custom Kernels, I always stick with stock, haven't flashed a custom kernel since way back with my S3. Sorry, can't help there.
Thanks anyways! Notice I got my phone working again! I flashed the stock, and then reflashed CMod and nothing was wiped. Interestingly...

Did factory reset rooted XT 1799-2, now phone only boots into recovery mode

Hi,
My previous post relates to this one. Due to that problem I got, I had to factory reset my device to get my camera working again. However, instead, my phone rebooted into TWRP and would not boot system normally. When I tried to go to factory mode via fastboot I ended up in endless bootloop. Back in TWRP I tried to restore my backed up ROM from before rooting, but nothing really changed. I am really desperate because I have not find any solutions for my model and I don't want to use other montana models stock ROMs as I suspect them not to be compatible. What shall I do?
Cheers

Ok I was able the Stock rom, but it is Chinese, not the global one wihout Gapps and lots of bloatware. Do you know if there is also a GLOBAL stock ROM I can get? Conversely, is there perhaps a custom ROM like Lineage OS or others that is compatible with this device? Cheers

Sorry this is the stock rom of montana_retcn, to install the playstore by the store that comes in it, and it has the English language.
The rom that you were supposed to be a shop rom of the store that you bought, mine came with one of this but unfortunately I do not know where it has to download ...

Ok I guess there is nothing more to be done here. Any custom ROMs are also probably not lying around too I guess :/

Turn off the device, boot into Fastboot Flash Mode using vol down + power, using volume keys scroll and select factory mode and device will turn on. the next time you boot up the device, it won't go into TWRP directly. I have faced this issue many times. Hope this helps.

Not in this case. What Factory Mode did was that it got stuck in loading loop playing the Moto logo endlessly for over 5 minutes. Anyway, the phone is now hard bricked so I am facing even larger issue )

I'm having the same problem with my wifes g5s.
I have found that from twrp>restart>bootloader (phone then enters bootloader) I can the immediately choose "start" to boot the phone.
But that is a hassle I'd prefer my wife not having to go through...

Flash stock ROM via fastboot problem will be solved..
As far as people who need play store can flash gapps via TWRP as a same method we use for custom ROMs.
P.S. i will not suggest to buy XT1799-2 because this SKU is purely made for Chinese Market, if you need any custom ROM go to Weibo.com/diyroms and post a request to build a custom ROM for this device.
And there are some custom ROMs available that you can search via baidu.com ( Chinese Search Engine).
I will try to find any ROM and post for you guys and also post. Request to build for XT1799-2.
CHEERS
so have you find any global custom rom for this device ?
