Can anyone recommend a seller of genuine standard batteries from experience? Looking on ebay and amazon there are plenty of people selling them but there always some people reviewing them as fakes. I thought about the anker batteries but reports of them exploding are a bit off putting, unless it's down to the charger and the batteries are fine.
I don't really want to spend the extra on the extended battery as I'd need a new case as well.
Forgot to say I'm in the UK.
Cheers
Go to Amazon.co.UK and buy from them directly. There gonna be cheaper marketplace offers but just ignore them.

Looked on amazon but there aren't any sold by amazon directly, it's all sold bysomeone else and fulfilled by amazon. With reviews from great to bad reviews saying the battery was rubbish and lighter than the original.

So I'm going to a concert next month and want to use my phone to record bands and take photos so I'm thinking about getting the hong kong batteries off ebay (2x 1500mah battery + charging station for $8.99 and free shipping) does anyone have anything good or bad to say about these hong kong batteries from personal experience?

The reviews that some of the customers give on amazon are quite disturbing. The only non oem brand I would trust is seidio. The others don't seem like they're built to last from what I read.

I didn't see many bad reviews on amazon but all the negative feedback on ebay were for different phone types besides incredible... I think I will order these since I will only use it as back up and not main battery

Then it looks like you didn't really need anyone to answer your question.
Seriously, batteries on eBay tend to be a lot more trouble than they are worth. Verizon has amazing prices on batteries with no risk; and Seidio are trustworthy if bought from Seidio.
Otherwise, good luck with your fake eBay battery.
I bought a 3500mah Hong Kong battery for 10 bucks on eBay, and it works great. I would say if you are going to buy cheap, get the biggest one available.

I have 2 of the standard Hong Kong batteries and two of the 3500mAh Hong Kong batteries from ebay and they all work great!! I get about 3 days out of my 3500mAh with stock ROM and kernel.
For 2 of the 3500mAh batteries with back cover and charger I paid $20.99 with free shipping and they got here in about 7 days.
I just came across this auction on ebay. The seller sells the battery packed in retail packaging and this really seems to be a genuine battery. Actually there is only 1 person who has purchased it - is this person on XDA here and can share his opinions about the battery?

Edit :
Here's another ebay who is selling a Genuine looking battery. Since it is in retail packaging, this seems genuine but we need confirmation from someone who is willing to buy it.

This place got it before Samsung itself?
Suspect, at best...
Don't know but if the battery comes in the retail packaging like in samsung shops, this could be the real thing. Again, we must wait for confirmation from someone who bought it.
Still no notice from amazon about when the original battery will be available...
If you guys want the OEM battery, just order from expansys. Mine just arrived for $37 USD and it is the only truly Original battery I've seen so far.

EDIT: It's $35 now and they accept paypal for it
Edited the 1st post to include another ebay link - seems like another genuine battery.
I came across this on eBay and I was wondering if these are legit or counterfeit or what...

For the price of two, it's a great deal, but only if they are real Samsung batteries.
Has anyone ordered them?
It say OEM. So I'd assume so, google that model number..return it if it isn't.

Kinda shady
$13.88 for two batteries? I wouldn't risk it. Sure you're spending about $15 for two batteries, but then you might damage your $600 phone. There are other reputable eBay sellers such as shimshop who are selling genuine batteries and other accessories for reasonable prices. Hope this helps.

Yeah, that's my concern, but what makes these different from Mugen or Seidio batteries? I've had back luck with one of those brands and paid a lot more for the batteries from them. If they are real Samsung's, it's a good deal, no? I guess I can always get Samsung to confirm the serial number on the batteries to confirm they are legit, and EBay offers buyer protection if they are fakes.
These would be spares anyways, not everyday use... I would literally charge them and put me in the fridge for when I need them on an extended outing or something.

These eBay batteries in question have NFC (as they would being OEM). It says so right on the battery itself. I'm talking more about reliability. Are the expensive "brand name" compatible batteries better then "cheapo" eBay ones. And again, these are allegedly original Samsung's.
Now, I did see similar batteries which had the "A" in Samsung reversed so it looks like a "V"... Obviously, those are fakes, but the sellers never claimed them to be originals anyways.
Ok, that's about it. Just want to buy a genuine 1750 mAh battery, preferably through ebay, and, of course, a cheap one. I've heard about south korean sellers being a good bet. Can anyone point one top seller, from your experience? If you can't do it here, I would appreciate a PM with a link or something.
Thank you so much.
I got my Nexus from www.expansys.ca and they had genuine Samsung batteries for $30 Canadian.

Thanks! Will take a look on that.
Ended up buying a Mugen Power 2000mAh battery, compatible with NFC, and with no need of a new battery cover. Free shipping today!
:good:
Can you post some feedback after?
I read about mugen, someone say that is really good, someone say that is not really...
Thx..:good:
I will try, yes. But they don't have it in stock yet. Possibly only on the 19th October.
Hello
Does anyone know legit ebay seller for this kind of battery, i have ordered some batteries for phones in the past but mostly when they come they hold very little charge and looks like bad clones. I would like someone to recommend a good and legit ebay seller in europe preferably for faster delivery.
Regards
Amazon. Search OEM battery for your device. Buy one that's specifically for the phone.
