Alright so I'm pretty decent with rooting and flashing phones, I made a bit of a mistake and flashed the baseband for an ATT fusion 2 gophone over the baseband for a Note II. I meant to flash one from tmobile for a full LTE transition. It then got stuck in a boot loop. Afterwards I flashed a stock ATT rom over it and now it's simply sitting at the samsung logo screen. What is there I can do to fix this? I have flashed an att modem over it and I can access the recovery CWM and the download mode on it. Is there anything I can do to fix this at the moment I'm out of ideas.
Oh and yes I have tried factory reset/cache clearing and it still won't go past the word samsung after the ATT logo.
Just do factory reset in recovery and reboot device.

I previously had Cyanogen Mod flashed on my phone and I did not like it. So I decided to flash the original AT&T stock rom back on using ODIN. Well now it boots back up and shows the AT&T logo intro, but it is stuck on the glowing SAMSUNG screen. Can someone give me some ideas to try to fix this. Thank you so much!
boot into recovery and factory reset
Wipe everything. Reflash a stock rom using Odin. Reboot and enjoy. Note that you might not want to use the file you already flashed.

A factory reset will do you fine. No need to reflasha stock ROM with Odin afterwards

That worked. Simple fix. Thanks all!

I recently obtained my Note 2 from Wind, however my IMEI was switched to null/null by a failed attempt at flashing a rom. I have tried flashing the Stock rom from sammobile for the SGH-t889V/Wind using Odin, however bootloops still persist.
I can get the phone running in a custom ROM such as JediX, however than the issue with the IEMI pops up and it seems I need a stock rom to have any attempt to fix it.
As of now, I have reverted the phone back to stock/unroot and it is in bootloop. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to go into recovery and do factory reset.
Factory reset has also been attempted several times.

After flashing factory image via odin right ?
Yep, factory reset after installing stock rom for the T889V. I rooted it afterwards to get into recovery and wiped everything but still no change, stuck in bootloop.
I sincerely hope "never flash any t889 custom rom on your t889v" could appear somewhere obvious in t889 forums to avoid such tragedy happening again

No. Don't root it yet. Flash factory image. Reboot (should result in boot loop). Go into FACTORY RECOVERY (vol up+home+power). That will have a option to do a factory reset. Do that. Reboot again. This time you should be able to boot successfully. After that you can root and stuff.
Did it word for word as you said. Flashed the stock image via Odin, and then did factory reset using your method. Still in bootloop.
In Odin my phone says it is SGH-T889V_NA_VTA
Custom Binary Download: Yes (9 Counts)
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
I am using the T889VVLALJ4_T889VYVLALJ4_GLW image, retrieved from Sammobile Am I supposed to be using GLW with a VTA as it says in Odin, or should my phone be saying it is a GLW?

hmm. What did your phone come with? GTW or MCT or VTR? Use the correct tar and see if that clears it up.
Don't worry about system status saying custom and binary saying 9. you can clear all that up later once you get a stock image.
My phone is saying VTR in Odin, would I be able to used the Odex Rom you provide in your post?

You can, but that's rooted and need CWM or TWRP to flash it.
My phone is a GLW phone, however the GLW Stock ROM doesnt seem to work my phone. To reiterate, I'm still experiencing the same problem regardless of reboots/wiping.

Here is the factory image for GLW
VTR still isn't working. I'm pretty sure this phone is a GLW, however anything stated in this thread has not worked to assist me in getting my phone to work.

Well in that case not sure what to tell you. Factory Image should at the very least let you boot.

Just wanted to let you know that I am in the same boat as you are.. I worked with ptmr3 for about 3 days trying to fix it.. but to no avail..
I sent it away through wind. Which they tried to charge me 350 $ to have it fixed since there is no way to remove the flash counter without being on stock rom.. I can also install jedi x roms on my t889v but the bootloop still persists after about 2 or 3 minutes of being on the home screen.. my signel also is gone.. according to the service center that wind sends their phones away to they stated. Faulty motherboard.. motherboard modified.. root access found.. so in other words I am sitting here with a 729 $ paperweight with no way of fixing it..
I am looking into a company called jtag repairs.... but they have been reluctant to send me an email back about it..

Hi, I had the same problem after flashing a T-Mobile ROM, after flashing the T-Mobile ROM I was stuck in a bootloop.
To get out of the bootloop
1. I flashed the stock WindMobile ROM
2. Flashed cwm recovery V6.0.2.5 .tar: http://www.mediafire.com/?oyv15gidjxd6c23
3. Flashed the T-Mobile modem through the recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102380
4. I was back up using the phone, however no signal. To fix this i used nv-writer tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804117
5.I flashed this file (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1580200&d=1356058365) through the nv-writer tool and voila, signal was back!

Long story short, an app failed on me. I used Google Wallet Installer, which bricked it. I have no Nandroid. I turn it on, and it goes to the Samsung logo and then the screen goes black and won't turn on again until I take out and reinsert the battery. I tried to flash stock with ODIN but it does the same thing. Is there anything I can do?
you said you've flashed the correct carrier stock firmware for your device. after doing that, you have to boot into stock recovery, wipe data, wipe cache and reboot. give that a shot

do the below. If you were on 4.1.1 and go back to stock 4.0.4 its a common occurrence. I assume you were since the wallet installer is for 4.1.1 rom's. It will delete you /data folder though

No luck.
No luck. I was on 4.1.1 before. What confuses me is that on my phone sticker, it says I747, but when I hook to ODIN it tells me its a I747M. I don't want to try the other one unless I find out which model it is.

If you have an at&t logo on the back, are on at&t, and the sticker under your battery says I747, then you have an i747 my friend.
So you wiped data and cache in recovery and it still didn't boot up, eh?

Can't get into recovery. I've tried about 100 times but when I try to get it into recovery it says recovery booting but it just goes to a black screen again. Maybe I'll just upgrade to the GS4.

i would download the AT&T rooted stock firmware again (DLK3) and flash in Odin. then attempt to access recovery to wipe data/factory reset and wipe both caches.
i'm sure you know this but just to clarify, when you feel the vibrate and see the blue script about recovery, release just the power button. good luck
I was thinking this that he's not getting into recovery mode correctly

Need help guys. im a previous note 2 user with sprint. now i have a note for at&t and i rooted it with autoroot. everything went fine. i was trying to install custom recovery i tried goomanager but the site was down. then i tried cwm via odin but when i boot in recovery all i got was a scrolling galaxy note 2 screen then blank screen. then i tried twrp using odin again now im stucked at the SAMSUNG SCREEN!! i can get to download mode. can anyone point me where i can boot this phone even to stock rom?. this is my work phone and i am in deep sh*t. i was on 4.1.2 with l317ucam3a firmware.
thank you
flash stock rom via odin
if you can get into recovery, do a factory reset, and reboot, and it should come up for you; you may just want to do a battery pull first and see if that does it

Hi. When I sent my S4 in for repair, I first made a recovery image, and the modem was ~MDL. However, when I got it back, it was reflashed, and now the modem is ~MDB. is it safe to flash recovery?
seems like the same phone, the IMEI is the same

Modem/baseband shouldn't have any effect on your recovery or nandroid backups.
Yes just redo all the procedures that worked before to obtain root, recovery, etc.

Thanks! On a side note, will recovery images transfer the kernel I had on the phone at the time? What about the boot animations?
EDIT: you two are the best! thanks!
