[Q] How to Remove Carrier IQ - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Title says it all.

And all you need to do is search for it. The threads may be old but it has been answered hundreds of times in various forums.
I'm not trying to be rude, but that one should be a pretty quick and easy find. Asking w/o searching is a good way to get ignored or even flamed.
Just tryin to help.

[Q] Ten posts?

Why do we have to post ten times before we can post in the development section? not trying to be an ass, but I wouldn't be wasting everyones time with this post if I could just post where I wanted. I have been a tester since first picked up an android (samsung moment) and realized it had severe data lockup issues.
I just want to get these out of the way so I can be part of the community. I don't want to throw up stupid posts where they don't belong. I do use the search box. All the time. Otherwise maybe I could post about things other people have posted about several times. I hate it when I have something relevant to say and I am blocked by technicalities.
Because it keeps people from posting non development threads in three development section. It really isn't that hard to make 10 posts. It can be anywhere on xda.

You'd be surprised how many less questions are posted in the development section since they stayed the 10 post rule. It is what it is & it'd be nice of it could go case by case, but it can't, so just keep posting.

Well the sooner I can get these out of the way, the happier I'll be. I don't mean to be a whiner. At least they don't make us do recap puzzles like on sdx.

I try not to post in questions anyway. If I have something to say, I usually try to post in the thread that makes the most sense.

I get the reasoning but I also agree with you.
It is the few though that abuse or just refuse to look for the information that ruin it for the rest.
Couple more posts and your'e golden though.

every little post helps.
lol cmon almost there
Hey I actually do have a question, but it is about xda not the epic g2. This has been bothering the hell out of me. Is there a way to set the time on my profile or something? Xda time is 5 hrs ahead and it throws me off every time I look at it.
And thats ten. Sorry to waste anyones time here. Feel free to delete this thread. This will be the last time I post something this useless.

Oh by the way for some reason the time i have is correct. Must be my luck
To change time settings go to USER CP>options and you should see the time zone settings.
Thanks man

Not everyone has intelligent posts in the beginning. It also emphasizes the importance of being on topic in development section. I wonder WTF time zone this goes off of as well. I am in Cali and it says the next days date early in the evening. Anyone trying to get their 10 posts have an answer?? Lol

If you were on a certain car forum I frequent. All your posts would be deleted to keep you under 10 posts for post whoring yourself to hit the post limit to post in the dev section.

This thread already exists and is called: [Q] What phone are you upgrading from ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1332763&highlight=upgrading
I have the Sensation right now, but i'm thinking about keeping it or handing it over to my girlfriend (she has an AT&T phone on T-Mobile's network so her data speeds are really slow).
Off-Topic: Hey they don't have a Roboto font option on XDA yet? lol just kidding

[Q] what is proper forum etiquette for sharing apps.

I found a pretty cool app on the market and wanted to share it in the app section with a disclaimer that it wasn't my work and that I found it to be pretty awesome. Is that frowned upon?

I've seen a favorite app thread before so I don't see a problem. Actually I appreciate it when something useful like an app I am not aware of gets pointed out.

I think you may be misunderstanding the forum layout.
Original developmen is for roms, kernels, mods, etc that are built/modified from source, like CM10 or AOSP.
Development is for roms, kernels, mods that are based on ones that have already been built, like TouchWiz.
If that's not what you're asking, sorry. But that's the best I can describe it for now. Check the sticky in development by Reinbeau. (I think that's her username)

Just to clarify, they are all for the T999 and most also can be for the T999V too. So long as youre in this forum.

[Q] clean flash cwm

I have searched all over the web and can't seem to find exactly what it means to do a clean flash. It is referred too all the time and I think I have been flashing dirty because I just do a factory/reset. So if anyone could shed of some light on thus it would be much appreciated!
Sorry.....but a well worded Google search would answer this quickly. You would have had the answer faster than it took you to make this thread.
People are encouraged to search before posting here....its actually in the XDA site rules even.
Try it....you'll like it!

Sorry....I just prefer to help people help themselves.
Those who don't search, read and learn about this stuff will be the firsts to brick their phones. Guaranteed.

Thanks for your help. But all phones are different so I couldn't find anything for this phone. It seems some people just a factory reset and cache and dalvil cache is clean... But I don't know what's a clean flash is for this phone?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Clean flash steps are the same for all android devices. That I've ever used anyway.
And a tip. Its in most roms opening posts, under instructions for flashing. Usually laid out step by step.
