Recently, if i view all my apps i downloaded in market (where is shows if i need an update or not) it acts like i have nothing installed. Instead of all the apps i have installed instead of saying "installed" it just says "free" and to download it, even though i already have them. Does anyone know how to fix this bug?
Go to manage applications and clear data on market app

Hi there! Yesterday I uninstalled two apps from my device and now they show up in "My Apps" under "Not Installed" ... it's not a bug deal it's just annoying having to see those apps listed there. So does anyone know how to permanently remove them from that list? Is there a list the Market keeps locally on my phone I can edit?
I think they stay for a while then disappear, if not log into your account on a PC and under my account tab there may be a way to delete them.

As the subject says. I get notifications to say there's updates for 2 of my apps. But then in the My Apps list in the market, none of the apps have any indicator to to say they can be updated. I've opened each app's info screen and none appear to have updates (or if they do, there's nothing to signify it).
Anyone else?
I get that as well, usually after a few hours the button appears for you to update, but also I get certain apps that want to update but its the same update from last time, weird.

I was getting that and discovered 2 apps in the "not installed" section of the 'my apps' page in the market that when clicked on had a option to 'update' instead of install and one of them was google maps. Haven't had that happen since so go check that page.
I was attempting to update some Android apps on the Android Market, and had to switch to WIFI in order to get a faster connection. Somehow, when I went back to google Market, the Market app disappeared from my App drawer.
I rebooted phone, and Android Market still isn't there?
Any suggestions how I get the Market back on the phone. I'm thinking I need to sideload the app, but haven't attempted to do that yet.
If there's a quick guide to doing that with this phone ( is it phone specific ), I'd love to have the link. Otherwise, I can search the web til I find something that fits the bill.
Thanks
lol

Have you checked your app drawer for "Play Store"?
I logged into market.android.com and it redirected me to sign into that site.
When logged in, I saw my apps that were installed on the phone. I didn't notice a way to install apps from that site though. I can check again if that's the answer.
GOT IT, thanks.
Play store is the new market (as stated).

I rarely use more than 4gb in a month, and my data resets on the 4th.
I deleted alot of apps on the 4th but I dont remember what all I deleted. I checked my data usage today and was shocked at what I saw. Using MyATT it shows usage being close to the same.
My question is there anyway to figure out what app or apps used nearly 2gb of data in 1 day?
I didnt download any large files or tether or anything. Just xda browsing and surfing the net. Ive attached last months data usage to give you an idea of how I use data. As well as a screenshot of the MyATT app and my data usage for this month so far.
Thanks for any help or ideas

If you scroll down in Data Usage, it should tell you the amount of data your apps are using. If you tap on each app, it will show you how much of the data it uses is being used in the foreground or background.
If you look in the pic, it says removed apps used 1.85gb
Im trying to figure out if I can see what apps used so much data

Removed Apps is all the apps you uninstalled. It compiled it as one and added up all the total data usage of the uninstalled apps prior to being installed.
You can go to Google Play's website and look under "Other apps in my library" to see all the apps you have on your account, even if you uninstalled them from your phone.
Of course, it won't tell you which app used how much data since it's no longer on your phone, but knowing which apps you had uninstalled should give you an idea how much data they would use. For example, if you had uninstalled a torrent app, it would certainly be the culprit. Apps that also constantly sync with a server, such as weather apps/widgets and streaming video/music apps, would also be likely culprits. It's also possible most, if not all, of the apps you uninstalled combined would have been the culprit since they may have automatically updated or synced to a server in the background a few times.
Unfortunately, it doesn't keep that kind of detail for uninstalled apps. But looking at "Other apps in my library" in Google Play's website would at least give you a general idea.
Thanks everyone for the help. Im thinking it was the free talking caller id app. That is the only app that ive had other problems with.

Did you delete the cache of the Samsung Gallery app? I noticed 438mb data usage the first day I got the phone from the gallery app syncing all my Facebook and picasa albums. My coworker had the same thing.

Just the answer i was looking for. THANK YOU. I was going to post why i have over 1/2 a GB on removed apps.
For future reference, there is an app called "my data manager" that will monitor all this for you and break it down into easy to read charts to show you where your data goes each month. It will also show projected use and daily allocations to keep it within your cap.

+1 on this. Have it running on every mobile on my plan (5). Great way to track usage.

Im having the same issue with att it seems the data counter doesnt reset properly.
My bill resets on the 17th but on the 18 of this month I had already used 5 gb according to dialing *3283#. But when I check on the att website through my lap top it shows the correct amount 400mb.
Might want to give it a try and see.
It's done that for the past 2 months.
I called ATT and they said since I dowloaded a large game the night before my data flipped to zero I shows on next months data usage which is BS.
I've had ATT since 2008 and I would always get zeroed out at the start of my bill no matter how much data I use the day before it's supposed to start at 0mb.
