Checked around on the Gio and Pico forums.......The Galaxy Gio has exactly the same bugs(thehacka1 ported it from there perhaps?)
The Pico one isn't being developed on anymore, but it's last version also has resizing woes
So we are on our own on this

I said maybe.....So I'm testing the rom posting results as I go
1.If you have sim which needs you to add the pin, you're out of luck.....You won't get past the pin screen...Pressing OK reboots the device
2.Can't let the phone sleep.....reboots everytime(I'm tapping the screen after a few seconds right now :laugh
3.It requires a Flyme account at all costs to move forward....was making one until the phone got to sleep by accident ;( )
4.It's taking FOREVER to sign into flyme...So chose the "begin to use" option
Will post more as I go
EDIT:
5.Settings-->Network doesn't open(Unfortunately,the process com.android.phone has stopped)
EDIT 2:
6.The camera app works great...Video are of low FPS
7.Video Playback is great
8.Torch force closes when activated
9.For some reason it is asking SU permissions every 2 seconds when I'm using air droid for screen shots
10.You won't be able to create a new conversation because the compose button is out of the screen(See screenshot)
11.System UI force close sometimes
12.The Music app does'nt open up properly, stays at the white screen(See screenshot)
13.The time is a little misplaced and the folders as well(See Screenshot)
14.In the dialer, the last row of the numeric keypad appears only when System UI was FC'd and was going to load(Screenshot)
15.Gallery shows some artifacts at times
All logcats will be done tomorrow(pretty late here)

Yeah when you read the title you probably went:
"idiot you no noting go back to your own for.... wait its ben and he's supposed to be porting it! wuts going on here"
So what is going on here? Well sense 4 can be ported to other armv7 devices - but not us armv6
Imagine trying to make a 64bit os run on a 32bit machine. Pretty hard and almost impossible.
For us a boot loop was a major achievement but to get there we had to replace every cpp (C plus plus/C++) binary file. Because of this we didn't have any sense libs or bins so we had to use Sense 3.5s where cm9 wouldn't have the file.
This was okay but as soon as we got to boot this is what would happen...
Normally:::: dalvik VM bin -> files that it knows are in frameworks and where
Arm6 port:: dalvim VM bin -> wtf why are all the files wrong
There are also other complications. Many sense 4 apps requite sense 4 libs and a sense 4 kernel so chances are that that wouldn't work either.
Now you're probably saying:
"Well some fancy developer claims he can do it"
I will honestly lick my own but if he gets that thing working properly on this phone, and if you've ever used a wildfire then you'll know that it is:
- slow due to no real gpu
- ldpi
- lacking ram like mad
- powered by an old 512mhz CPU.
So he would have to resize every image just to start with.
But back on topic: I'm sorry but because of these reasons we can not port sense 4.
"But you ported miui from armv7"
That doesn't use armv7-only sense 4 libs. It can use only cm9 libs.
Sorry again. We have a pretty cool project coming up though guys

Yes, mine fell about two metres but face first onto concrete, there was no visible damage but it did ruin the touch sensor a bit. The hardware protection and setup was well done (typical HTC standard) but the actual specs of the hardware was horrible!

So I saw that our phone lacked a MIUI GB rom so I decided that I would give porting a MIUI rom to our phone shot. So here we are, a pretty smooth and flawless rom running nicely on our little Wildfire S!
Features:
Fully working MIUI GingerBread
Superuser installed
Overclockable kernel
Miui MDPI themes work
Gallery3D installed
Bugs:
Small graphical bugs throughout
Small amounts of apps not fully translated
Anymore? Let me know...

Yeah, it was very easy! But we still didn't have this rom so I gave the port a shot so the community can also enjoy MIUI GB... There are still some issues where apps need to be translated and some resizing is in order for the launcher... I used to resize for my Wildfire so resizing is easy for me! (Just some decompiling, editing values, then recompiling and that's it)

Fresh Ice romFor HTC Wildfire S
About
This rom is based on CM9 port by modpunk (most credits to him). I just edited, modded, tweaked, themed to make this rom faster and more user friendly My battery survives about 2-3 days at normal usage, so I think it's pretty nice as for android
Bugs
All that CM9 has
After first boot
1. You may install data2sd. To do this you need to have sd card partition. I won't talk about this here, just google. To install after first boot up you have to get back to your recovery and flash this zip:
Download data2sd.zip: http://www.mediafire.com/?d8qh63sskcgngka
2. reboot phone 2-3 times to get all apps loaded. first three boots will be longer, be patient.
3. go to settings->performance->processor-> set minimum to 320 and maximum 806. then press back key once and go to memory management and enable kernel samepage merging. Now go to settings->developer options-> set window animation scale to 1,5x and transition animation scale to 1,5x. also enable Kill app back button. sett every other settings as you want, especially launcher settings.
4.open mx player app and download codecs from play store

Hi, Cupcake. Thank you very much. I really love this ROM design. I have one problem when installing. The phone vibrated and reboot back to cwm. I found that my phone can flash some ROMS in the thread but not all the ROMS. some success but some failed. You have any idea? Thx YOU.

Does this ROM work on your device? If yes, then wait for a couple of days I'll upload the same ROM using MARVELOUS as base.

Thank for your quick response. I am using this ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2262394. Sometimes I noticed that if the ROMs is smaller like 140mb, my phone can install without problem, but for 165mb or 180mb, my phone may reboot on the install process. It's look like my phone cannot stand longer on the cwm.
Great rom, thanks
Only I see that bugs:
- When I listen music with speaker, sometimes it cut the sound 1-2 seconds. Similar than a interference.
- I don't know why screen are 73% and android os is 5%. WHY?
That drains A LOT of battery...
- When I want to disable data with the widget, they don't put off. I need to go to settings.
- And the final, when I open settings with Language, and I go to home and open task bar to open again it crash and close. I think it only happen with Language setting.
for the rest, it's good.
Any solution? (for the first it's most important.. the battery deads)

I'll include a better walkman for the next release.
Battery drain??Switch to auto brightness mode, reduce the screen timeout.... On an average I get min of 1 day and some hours with Wi-Fi on all day, and making some calls...

Had auto brightness and I changed the screen timeout when I install to 30 seconds, I disabled rotation too. Only I have 3G but disabled, every 30 minutes juice defender active. I don't know why that...
I like the appearance but this battery drain don't helps me...

Thanks very much for this blazing fast ROM for WIldfire S. Just installed it and found very smooth and stable ROM for this phone. Probably you can put in the instructions that users can use CronMod INT2EXT mod with this ROM. Cheers!!! Very nice work on this.
Is there any chance to change the un-lock screen? It makes me crazy :crying:
