Hi I'm using cm10 and I was looking for a way to get the 4.2 clock app, and keyboard. I also wanted the 4.2 camera and gallery bit after searching I saw that the camera is a no go unless you want a stretched out preview image. Anyways I couldn't find Amy working clock or keyboard apps but if someone knows of any or possibly a working camera then please post it here or post the links thanks.

The ICS camera app requires frameworks that are in ICS. So you likely won't get it on Gingerbread.
Now if all you want is to map the shoulder triggers to do camera functions, that is certainly possible. It requires reboots when you want to go between game and camera modes though, from when I last heard.

There is a free app on the market that does exactly that.Just search Camera Mod for Xperia Play.

I am currently on ics rom now.. I downloaded some app from market to change the function.. But super user keeps on popping up
When i slide my phone, the Xperia Play app opens automatically but it doesn't show some of the games i have on my phone. I installed the Xperia Play app manually because i am running NXT Lite ROM and it deleted most of the stuff such as pre installed games.

Well I'm on NXT lite and installed xperia play from the market and it works fine for me so why are you so patronising towards OP?
All my optimised games show up fine so not sure if it's Rom related I'm afraid

You can always try this. So if your game it's not Xperia PLAY optimized, you can always optimize it yourself.
I have my old R800x that I would like to flash a rom to with no phone function, only wifi and bluetooth. I have tried repeatedly to delete item from the system/apps folder but I am obviously not doing something right as the phone will bootloop or have tons of FCs.
Does anyone know of a ROM I can use that does not have any of these functions but retains the Sony Framework for Xperia PLAY launcher, touchapds etc? O know there are at least one ROM with no phone function but its based off of CM, which is not what I am looking for.
Or if no ROM exists can someoen tell me what files to delete so that I wont get FCs and have a working ROM with no phone fucntion but bluetooth and wifi. Thank you

I completely forgot about that one. The only issue I can see off hand is that there wont be a homescreen on the CDMA PLAY if I flash it. Ill give this a whirl. Then if need be ill follow the above steps. Thank you.

You can use xdarkmarios patch to get it to show the Homescreen after flashing the Rom. It works I've tested it on mine

Dowbloading now. Will test on my ion running 6.1.E.3.7 firmware.
Edit:
Downloaded. Weatherwidget says it doesn't fit on screen( even though there is enough space on homescreen), same for picture widget. Walkman, album, movies seem ok. When adding widgets i get a few force closes.

'Insert map' isn't working though (if any1 can make it work)
thanks! trying it now
roms
I understand they work for stock xperia s.
Do they work on custom roms? (non-stock)
Work fine, but we don't see our notes in small App And this is really bad...
Slash from Nozomi
thanks..but
Isn't the music widget and others are the stock xperia s versions of the latest firmware. Is there a way to install the latest walkman on xperia z1 and latest devices for older xperia like s running 4.1.2 JB
i was just wondering if i can install or port a HTC (Sense) app to a non HTC OS phone, i want the htc one camera record and take pictures at the same time on my JB rom
i think you have to have sense 5 framework therefore a sense 5 rom and that would be impossible on the xperia play as the closest device in specs is a htc butterfly and that has a s4 pro and more than double the screen resolution im sure you could propably get something similar to the sense camera app
well i guess it's an impossible task

The new jellybean camera has this feature. While video recording just tap the screen and it will take a picture. And yes most of HTC stuff heavily rely on framework so it's not going to work Luke extremetempz already stated.

Hmm sounds interesting, I am on 4.1.2 jb miui at the moment. Is there a API level difference between 4.1 and 4.2 jb? If not I might be able to simply copy and paste the Apk

With xperia play only legacy camera works with jb. The new camera won't work but it will on cm9 for some reason. I have no idea why.
