Hi all,
I've followed this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2068041 to enable aws on my i317M from bell. Everything worked perfectly, but i encounter one issue that i hope some of you can help me.
Details
After the mod i was able to use mobilicity, wind (Canadian Carrier) on my Note 2, however when i put my bell lte sim card back in, it only shows
H+ only, i went into *#197328640# > Debugged Screen> Network Control> Band Selection, I got lte back after i select "LTE ALL" Data was fine, but heres the problem, when i try to make a phone call, after i hit the dial button, it instantly disconnect the call.
Anyone else had the same issue? fixed? or is because the lte frequency that bell uses causes the conflict.
Thank you all in advance
Regard

Did you check the Apn on the phone? That might be the cuz of the problem? Is the phone fully stock, rooted, custom Rom? ..
FYI:
I didn't have to do no MOD on my TMO GN2, in order to get LTE on it. I just flashed a AT&T Rom. And bam LTE working fine!! I really think it had something to do with the model#/ modem. Because this is the second TMO note with no AWS mod. That's getting LTE no problem..

Who's your telco?
Are your APN settings correct (Settings -> More... -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names)?
Do you have the right network type settings set (Settings -> More... -> Network types, and/or dial *#*#4636#*#* -> Phone information -> Set preferred network type)?
Hey thanks for getting back to me. Sorry I forgot , I am on ATT. newbie to all this so not quite sure about all that APN stuff

Go into setting/more/mobile networks/network mode and make sure either lte option is selected as well as in access point names make sure att&t lte is selected
Check your APN settings and since you're on AT&T just Google "AT&T APN settings" and it should be the first link. I'm still new so I cant link yet. :/
Same problem here and connection to LTE is very intermittent. I'm on Telus and I've tried both the LH1 and LK4 modems to no avail. It always connects to 3G or H+ and then tries to connect to LTE and I see the following "dead" signal bar:

At which point if I try to place a call I obviously get the following error:
Is it possible with rooting this phone to talk and surf the net while not using WiFi?

You do not need root for surfing without wifi. You only need network data enabled and internet connection from your mobile carrier.
And what kind of instruction do you need ?
You just need mobile data enabled. (settings - connection tab - mobile data)
That's it.
You need the same to surf when not in a call also.
No
Short Answer is No. Not until Sprint which I am assuming is your carrier enables VoLTE. We do not have two antennas like GS4, GS3 and a few other sprints phones. Hope that Helps

Thanks. Now i wish i wouldv just stayed with my s3
It might depend on what variant and carrier you use, but I do believe it is possible on the G3. I just gave a call and mobile data a try simultaneously on my unlocked UK 16GB D855 (on Three UK) and it worked. Signal is kinda weak at my house which may explain the data speeds.

OK I am very curious if i can disable all network modes except gsm or just select only gsm. Now a lot of you are wondering why and pulling out your hair, well in my area there are a lot of places that I get 1 bar of any other network, but if i manually force my phones over to gsm I get full bars and great reception, even in buildings and basements that everyone considers dead spots. So yes there is a legit reason to this and I'm very curious if this can easily be done with the us model?
thanks
Use intelli3g with xposed framework

You can force the radio to GSM only using the hidden menu..
You can get to this menu by typing in the following code in the phone dialer : *#*#4636#*#*
I always forget the code, so I use an app called Network Switcher which does the exact same thing as the code..
The second SIM slot is GSM voice+text only. So if you ever want to turn off data, I s'pose you could just disable SIM 1 if you had a second one in.

Hi, I buyed HTC ONE X from aliexpress (from International version seller say). Phone work ok, but there is not network signal. I live in romania, I tried to unlock bootloader and install cyanogen mod v.12 but nothing changed. In country side there is 0 signal, in city there is 3 from 5 antenna but phone show "!" sign under antenna and it don't accept manual settings also I tried to install LTE SWITCHER to switch to GSM Only and it always goes back to wcdma preffered, so setting are not saved. I saw that there are other people on forums, I haven't find a solution, I already have TWRP installed and don;t want to try dozens of roms.
I have Meizu M2 Note buyed, new brand phone, and it works great here on country side withm 2g, 3g and even 4g.

Are you flash the boot.img from CM12?
Will it allow you to set the APN or is that in the manual settings you can't access? Correct APN settings for network provider might do it.

FoxFi has survived the latest update to marshmallow 6.0

I assume by "g4" you mean a Galaxy Note 4? If so, I have tried it, and initially it was not working for me. I have a 3 mobile SIM card (I'm in the UK now) in my Verizon Note 4 with the latest Marshmallow update (build number MMB29M.N910VVRU2CPF3) and when I tried to turn on WiFi tethering via FoxFi, it went through Starting Hotspot...1, 2, 3 messages and then I just get a message saying that it couldn't start the hotspot (I forgot to write down the exact message).
It also didn't seem to be able to control the hotspot at all, since when I start the WiFi hotspot on its own (without FoxFi), it started up, then I went into FoxFi to stop it, it gave me a message about not having started it, closing anyway, yet the hotspot kept running...
HOWEVER, as I was typing this up, I was going through the process to be able to write down some of the details - and like magic, it started working! ;] I have absolutely no idea why it started working now, I don't recall changing anything at all. The only thing is that the hotspot was active all night (forgot to turn it off - heh). Well, I'll take it!

Dude, you are in the "Verizon LG G4" forum... so g4 doesn't mean Galaxy Note 4!
Whoops, sorry! Dropped into this from a search and didn't pay attention to which forum it was. Mah bad! ;]
No worries, I appreciate you trying to help, just thought it was funny.
