There is no ruu, you must use a stock nandroid backup

I suppose that would explain why i can't find one
grabbed this
SD_Clean_Base_3.20.401.1.zip
so going to sideload it now

Yeah but that's not your stock rom and you can't update with that rom in the future !

It's all good, I just needed to get back from cyanogen to sense song could unlock the phone as it kept failing with custom roms
Sorted now though, thanks for pointing me in the right direction

They are not similar but the outcome is the same which is getting your phone to fully stock rom... with RUU it's easily done with few clicks of your mouse... but with a nandroid backup you have to everything manually...

Unroot Desire HD not working

Hey everybody,
I was trying to get my DHD with cfx on it back to stock so my mom can start using it. But i cannot seem to get it done.

The Ruu keeps saying that i need to get the right RUU version. But my phone is unbranded so any WWE should be fine right. I already relocked the bootloader through fastboot, so that is not the problem.
I hope that one of you is able to help me.

Well the problem with this is that im relocked, and i have no idea how tu un-relock it. I googled for it, but could not find a clear anwser anywhere.
Edit 1: I've tried to run the ruu with a goldcard i created, but i ended up with the same result. I find this very strange.
Anyone who can help me out with this pls
Re-unlock the same way you unlocked the first time, with fastboot. How did you make a goldcard and what RUU?

So using HTC-dev again, i created the goldgard using the goldgard img helper ( cant remember by who, but he deserves the credits). And then used different ruu's. But the one i ended up using was RUU_Ace_Sense30_S_HTC_WWE_3.12.405.1 and then the radio and such.

Hox soft brick, need some guidance

Hello,
I made the mistake of soft bricking my htc one x without a nandroid backup,
now my problem is i find it really hard to find the correct RUU and nandroid backups for this build.
most of the links are broken on xda, i've been searching for a week at least..
I red that my version-main has no RUU, but i was wondering if there are some RUU that might work with this build.

If someone has any suggestions i would really appreciate it!
You can try this site for the 4.18.401.4 RUU - https://firmware.gem-flash.com/index.php?a=browse&b=category&id=293
I'm downloading it too to see whether it is a legit RUU
If your bootloader is unlocked, you can install any 4.18.401.4 ROM.zip.
I believe MaximusHD - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2410320 is more or less is almost stock.
I figured it out, Close thread please.

Broken processor/softbricked?

So, I got an HTC One M8 of a friend of mine. I tried to repair the phone as it was in a bootloop. However, even after installing several different roms it wouldn't start. I noticed another strange thing; Whenever I want to go from the bootloader to recovery, it takes absolutely ages (read: 10-15 minutes) to actually get to this. I tried it with a custom recovery as well as the stock recovery. This makes me think it has something to do with the CPU?
So far I've tried different ROMs, a nandroid backup, updating my firmware and (unsuccesfully) finding a RUU file for my HTC M8. I have included the getvar information for further possible details:
Code:
(bootloader) version: 0.5

I posted the getvar in another thread in which other people also posted theirs, so I accidentally copied someone else's info!
And I was afraid of that as I have been looking for it as well... Is there maybe a generic RUU file that works for most m8 devices?

no every device variant have it's own RUU ( available or not )
your best solution ( i'm afraid it's the only ) is to restore a stock backup then flash the signed firmware
all you need in this thread at the first 5 posts

yea, just tried this again, didn't work, was stuck again on the o1ne screen after the vodafone logo. after installing a custom rom (android revolution HD 53.1) it was also stuck on the same screen. the last time it was stuck on this screen, it didn't get any further after a full 8+ hours of waiting. I waited for an hour on both flashings, but nothing at all...
Thanks for assisting me so far anyway
bump!
I really would want to use this phone...
