Why flashable package? Can't you just upload a regular .zip / .rar

Mate, even it's flashable you can always extract files from it.
Just say tnx, this guy sacrifice his own free time.
The least we could do is say tnx
Edit : but mate sound quality isn't so good.
Sound is cracking - it's nice but sound quality isn't gooe....

For those who are interested, here is my demo album.

It's a whole bunch of my demo tracks for my album that's coming up. So nothing is necessarily final yet. Enjoy, and let me know which song(s) you liked most!

Hi everyone, I been using all sorts free great goodies for my phones from this site and its devs for some time now. I shared these ringtones with the Evo 3d community and figured now that I have the Epic I should share them with all you good people. I made these ringtones from various instrumentals by croping, reducing lower frequencies, and amplifying them to sound better. There are over 200 of them from all different genres so everyone should find something they like (be patient and go through all 10 pages ). I'm always looking for new ideas so please feel free to drop some requests and I'll do my best to do what I can to make that ringtone. Thanks again for all the help and support I receive here when needed

DO NOT FLASH IN RECOVERY!
Make sure to have a file explorer installed to do these instructions, such as Root Explorer or (What I use) Root Browser Lite.
Steps :
1. Download the ZIP
2. rename it to "bootanimation.zip" or "shutdownanimation.zip"
3. push it into your /system/media
4. set permission -rw-r-r- a.k.a 644
5. reboot
6. PRESS THE THANKS BUTTON
7. ????
8. PROFIT!!!!!
Make sure you delete the old ones, "bootanimation.zip", "bootanimation_sprint.zip" and bootanimation_boost.zip or shutdownanimation.zip and shutdownanimation_sprint.zip"
Please let me know if these do not work or the link ever gets broken or anything like that.
I do not take credit for making any of these, I have found them throughout the internet and edited them to work with this phone, such as resizing the image. If any of them are yours then please let me know!
Mega, you seem to always be the first person to "thanks" my OP when I post anything. Haha.
Also, Almost done uploading. Decided to get an account at Android File Host, was just waiting to get approved for Dev. I am trying to take the stock Jelly Bean bootanimation and reverse it for a shutdown animation.
Thank you for your work.
Does everyone know, though, that the boot animation applications from the play store work as long as you adjust the proper settings inside the app?

No, has to be done by the directions.
Updated OP and added 4 more bootanimations.
Theoretically couldn't you do this for any file that's supposed to be a bootanimation?
For instance, I have a GS3 as well so I frequent those forums and have a couple bootanimations for that phone. I could just install them on the OG the same way you explained in your OP. Do you think there would be any problems that would cause a brick/bootloop issue because of the different dimensions of the screens?
Changing the Sound - Awkward Sounds
Heya,
This worked perfectly the above method by Epic. However now when I boot up I get the awesome nexus boot logo but still the same awkward sprint boot sound. With a look digging I discovered that the boot up or as in the phone "PoweOn_Sprint.ogg" and the bootoff "PowerOff_Sprint.ogg" all located in the same media folder "/system/media/audio/ui/" So now the question is lets start picking boot sounds (on/off) maybe the nexus 4 will be a good start.
Thank you in advance,
TheAceX
What I would do is just search up android boot animations and so far anyone I likes has work. As for the sounds, you can make the boot sound literally any song or clip you want, my power on is the ps1 boot sound which is awesome. You just have to convert the sound into .ogg with an audio converter program, rename it PowerOff_Sprint or PowerOn_Sprint respectively and make sure its capitalized exactly that way, then put it in the Ui directory.
I was gonna post a how to but no one showed interest lol

Not a problem. Thanks man!
You could always try using something like THIS to convert any audio files.
I haven't tried this service so I can't vouch for it, but I've used ones like it before.
Then you install it just like the bootanimations (naming them appropriately and putting them in the proper folder).

You shouldn't (it is really unlikely) have any issues.
They may look a little stretched or won't fill the screen.
If the animation is somehow broken, Android doesn't need it to boot.
I might already know the answer, but can I add this to the rom your testing? and tell which one you would like me to try.

Thanks! I edited a version from Youtube, but wasn't happy with the quality so I had to rip a 10 second clip from the bluray, hopefully it's not too long. I also removed the audio and faded out the end. So it's 1280x720, didn't think 1080p would be needed. I also didn't wanna mess with it too much but I assume you can crop and resize it to something better or I can prepare it more if you want.

Works flawlessly mate thanks.
Although I would like to know why we need to Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache before flashing this? I dont like to do these wipes unless absolutely necessary.

To
LIGHTSPEED DEVELOPMENT
The latest version, LSD_25.025 uses the M919 T-Mobile Jelly Bean 4.2.2 update as a base. The project's purpose is to offer extra functions and better looks over stock while maintaining maximum stability.
Aesthetics have been considered and vastly improved over stock.
Summary: Going for it all here, aesthetics, speed, battery, extra functions. I have finally come very close to satisfied with this ROM and the device in general.
Features:

NEXUS KITKAT UI SOUNDS
DEBLOATED
CSC TWEAKS
Theme work

First of all... If you have rooted or flashed a custom recovery to a device then you have voided that device's warranty. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! By downloading you agree that you alone are responsible for your actions and device(s).

Installation Instructions:
If .tar then use odin... Read about using Odin first.
If .Zip file then follow these instructions
WIPES ==> wipe all except external sdcard and internal sdcard
1. Install TWRP recovery. WIPE the following partitions in TWRP recovery ====> /system /data/ /cache/ dalvik cache/ everything but internal and external sdcards... unless you want to wipe those as well then go right ahead.. also wiping everything is a good way to start over if coming from builds of another source.
2. Install ROM from /sdcard/ aka internal /sdcard/
3. After flashing completes, reboot into Android
4. LET IT SIT A FEW MINUTES
5. Sign in to WI-Fi if available, then sign into your Google account
Remember to Reboot.
Note:
do not change the name of tar.md5 files, why? it checks itself (md5sum) and its name for your safety
If both are not exactly perfect Odin aborts the flash for your safety.

that'd be cool... Who's that guy that made it?? Maybe if he likes my ROM he will let me use his framework =]
maybe you can do it for yourself? dont know the depths it goes into to install it but could be easy... in fact I think that is how you are supposed to get it if you wanted it...IDK if you get any info on uf i can then let me know, James or anyone.
Hi,
Before I'll try this rom I would appreciate if you someone will tell me the speciality and the advantage by using this rom.

It's gharrington. Here is his thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41361132&postcount=1 you would definitely have to speak with him to see if you can get permission to use his framework. He asks all devs in his thread not to use it. The only dev I know that has permission is Jamison904. 2 thumbs up on your rom by the way!!

I worked on it for months... it is half the size of a regular ROM ... one third of stock...
I am not begging you to try it btw.. you however are privileged with access to download it for free with no adds no bs either.
what is it that you would want dear?

no. sorry this ROM is very traditional in that it has no fancy aroma installer or theme engine =]
to the crowd:
the main feature of this ROM is its theme all blacked out bars and dialog boxes, like you know the ugly blue bars that are present in all the other tw roms right now lol ... now I am sure those bars look good to some but to me those blue bars and blue dialog boxes are gross. and its not like there aren't three hundred different little bars to theme and dialog boxes who knew that was ugly haha yeah no kang please no kang ahaha.... And to a certain love... see! hahaha =]
and being very light it is very fast, hence the naming.
Enjoy responsibly,
and there are rules to sharing... but let the master do as he pleases. I personally don't even want the 3minit framework besides Kitkat is coming soon.. so enjoy this.. this is not a first run ROM like I stated earlier I have been using this version of this ROM flawlessly for over a month so its likely final without saying.
Thanks OP...great work.
