Was in recovery(TWRP) restoring Wicked3, restore successful so I rebooted system, screen went blank and wont power back on. I traded my Note 2 for this, so back to the store is not an option. I do have it registered with Samsung and I'm gonna send it in Monday.

Have you tried holding your power button for ~15 seconds or pulling the battery and trying again? I've had it go to a black screen and appear to be turned off... short of pulling the battery or forcing a reset you'd think it just wouldn't power on. Can you get into d/l mode?

Dumb questions: Have you pulled the battery? Is it charged? Does your computer recognize it in any way if you plug it in?

I've been scouring threads and trying to solutions for this problem for the last 3 days.
After wiping the ROM and restoring the stock OS, I was about to run the Amazon update to restore the stock bootloader but as I was charging it past the 40% point, it turned off without warning. It was at 37% charge at that point. Now when I turn it on, the blue/white logo shows up and then the device shuts off almost instantly after that.
The only thing I think might've caused it is that in order to charge the device recently, I've had to wiggle around the power cord a LOT to get it to the charge, and the device turned off while I was doing do.
What happens if you go to recovery? Does it remain booted? If so do a wipe factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik then select reboot. See if it will boot to the system from there.

I can't get to ANYTHING, it turns off literally 2 seconds after powering on.
Are you positive it shuts off and doesn't just boot to a black screen? Some of this sounds like a 5 second bootloop but not entirely http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1623244 from what your describing it should have more charge. Turn it off plug it in via USB describe what happens.

Yeah, I've read that. I hit the power button, the blue/white Kindle Fire logo shows up (at the bottom it says press the power button for the menu) but then it shuts off right after that.
You say you restored stock by what you're saying this was a backup correct?
Yeah...what's getting me is that it was all working fine until I tried to charge it by the aforementioned wiggling the power cord in the charge port. Unless that was just a coincidence and is irrelevant.

My thoughts..
1) Its just a coincidence
2) Did you try charging the kindle overnight and then try running the KFU and change the bootmode to normal
I think Kinfuans is trying to tell you that your battery is flat. Power it off by holding down the power button for twenty or so seconds, plug it into your computer, set your computer to avoid sleeping then let it sit a few hours or overnight. It should eventually boot.
As soon as I plug it into the USB, it goes into an endless cycle of powering on and off. Even if it's off already, plugging it in makes it attempt to turn on.

With the device turned off completely, plug it in and let it power on. Immediately hold the power until it shuts off. If you're lucky, it will power off completely, then you can leave it alone to charge.

Not so lucky as it just immediately tries to turn back on. I think the thing is just toast.

You're plugging into USB correct?
Correct.
Well, getting it to shut down while plugged in, might be your only option toward getting it to charge. I've had that same problem and that's how it got fixed. You might want to leave it alone for a while and try it again. Just remember to hold the power button as soon as you plug it in, and hold it for at least 30 seconds.
No joy, whatever I do to make it power off so I can charge it is useless; it just automatically tries to power up as long as it's plugged in. I think the charge is too damaged or something.
Hey keep it on charge..sometimes it happens cos of low battery..
If u charge it enough it will work

i am having almost the exact issue. except i didn't do anything rootwise or anything really. i used it as i normally would (facebook, web browsing etc.) battery got to like half so i plugged it into a wall charger and left if for a few hours. came back and it had turned off. now it will only turn on if it is unplugged with the same results as op. 1.4a blue and white logo screen for like 2 seconds then it turns right back off. i can't get to recovery i can't do anything.
edit: when it is plugged in i can't turn it on at all.
edit2: i let it charge overnight on my computer, still the same thing. this is very disheartening.

My phone froze, so naturally I held down the power button to get the restart option. Then it kept restarting over and over never making it past red eyeball looking screen. So I popped the battery out, waited a while and put it back in to turn back on. Nothing even if I try to charge it..nada, not eve the light on the front that lets you know its charging. Ive read about holding the volume down button + power to do a factory reset...nothing happens...Did I do something wrong or is phone fried?

I've tried to see if it would charge from the computer no luck either. Computer doesn't recognize a device
My phone won't turn on. When I plug it into the charger the notification light and the buttons on the bottom of the phone blink on and off.
I am rooted but not unlocked running the new 4.1 update that I was using fine for hours. If anyone knows what's going on please let me know, thank you

I held down the buttons and nothing happens, if I plug it into a computer the lights don't flash, I get the red light like its charging but if I try to turn it on or get into to recovery I get the lg screen then it goes off and the red light and captive buttons flash again. Is it soft bricked?

possibly. the only thing i can really suggest is to lgnpst back to v9 which wont work because you get stuck at the 4glte screen but with everything re installed you should be able to get into stock recovery to either reapply the update or wipe /data i believe to fix it. im not 100% sure this will work so its a little risky

Where can I get lgnspt? I have been trying to find a link somewhere

It seems I've run into the exact same problem. I was halfway through the update steps (hadn't even actually started the update itself) when my phone decided to just shut off (battery was fully charged and plugged in), and now it won't turn on. At best I can get it into fastboot, but can't go into recovery from there. If I plug it into a wall charger it just bootloops. Everything I've tried so far has led me nowhere.

If the lights are flashing it usually means the phone over heated. The only way I know to reset it is to do a battery pull. I've had to do it several times when using the overclock kernel.

This works perfectly. It's what I had to do. Make sure the phone is completely off, then hold vol down + power + home. When the capacitive buttons light up, release the buttons. It will bot into stock recovery, then do a factory reset. Wala!
This doesn't work for me at all, and I just used LGNPST to reflash v9. If I hold down those buttons, nothing happens. If it's plugged in and I hold them down, after 10-15s the charge light flashes fast (cap buttons don't light up). If I let go, the LG screen comes up for a few seconds and then the phone turns off.
You need to pull the battery. Afterwards itll boot fine
Btw its a known issue with this phone. Overheating causes it among other things

I wish it was that easy, but vol up + vol down while holding the power wont fix it when the lights are flashing like a siren.
You will need a small torx bit screwdriver, a philips screwdriver for the battery cable, and 2 pieces of tape to hold the buttons in place. A guitar pick also works good at seperating the case.

Thanks for the info!
well...this kinda ruined my night yesterday...I went to a concert yesterday around 8 and my phone had 70% and I was checking facebook or something like that and without no notification or warning it froze and turned off on me. I figured it was a normal freeze..and I attempted to turn it back on and nothing happened. Went to my car to try to charge it and nothing. Not even a charging light. A day has passed after the concert was over (could not take pictures, thanks htc..) and now the "dead battery symbol" comes up and the orange light keeps BLINKING..to my understanding it means that it is not charging? What could it be..anybody could help me out .maybe a soft reset? no charging it for a couple of minutes?
Anything would help. Thanks
Try pressing and holding power and volume up?
I'm sure you've already tried that, but can you confirm that you have left it plugged in atleast for 5 hours continuously after this happened.

And hold the power and volume buttons down in a well lit environment, there's a "pocket check".
You can also try by hold the power and volume buttons UP
Thanks for the replies , i have tried those opctions. Holding the power and volume UP and thencanother try wih the DOWN the with both. It just blinks orange now. I just woke up and plugged it in again, am going to work and going to leave it like that, hopefully that does the trick. Should i call htc ? It hasnt even been a month since the phones came out.. I did not do anything to "kill" the battery
Ofcourse you may call Htc.
the same happened to me now.did u find a solution?????

Well only thing I can suggest is you leave it on charge over night. Then try & power it on if no go try and hold the volume up and power button while plugged in for at least a minute if that Dosent work take it back where you got it from.

Unplug phone. Hold vol up and power for 10 seconds, let go, try to power on phone.
Hey dudes, check it out bruhs my phone is kinda acting up.
The story goes one day i was using my phone while it was charging, then it turned off and i thought maybe the battery is low. I left it charging overnight thinking it was the battery only but sadly it wasn't. I tried to boot it and failed. Now every time i try to turn on my phone it will shut off by itself. As soon as i put the battery on my phone it automatically boots without pressing any button and shuts off after a couple of seconds. (I've tried a different battery no luck still) Any help would be
much appreciated thanks a lot!:crying:
