So does that mean I can take the Phone.apk from a SenseUi rom or a MiUi rom and put it on Cm7??
SenseUI, no. MIUI, im not too sure. More than likely not without doing some work to it. Ive never used miui so I cant tell you much.
Sent from my LiquidM_Villian using Tapatalk Pro
sense UI no cause of framework .. MIUI or whatever.. possible highly doubt it though best thing to do is get a rom most recent updated one download and take out the phone.apk and push it in to cm7 and try.. but of course back up your original phone.apk just in case it doesnt work.. or doa nandroid back up too i guess

[Q] Battery % for DDKQ8 Stock ODEXED Rom...
Can anyone please upload the cooked files for Battery % for DDKQ8 Stock ODEXED ROM ? Well which are the files to be uploaded to cook using the UOT Kitchen, both framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk, or just the SystemUI.apk ? I tried to cook it myself, but having some problem uploading the files...Can someone help me out ?
Guys please. There's a tutorial on the kitchen itself on how to use it. Please watch it and be careful on what you do with your phone.
Note: Even if you make a mistake and flash something you didn't want, use THAT exact framework and system ui (touch wiz file too if you're on stock).
Example; you want transparent status bar but you made it too transparent and now you want it back. You have to use the already flashed system files to re-make the one you want. You can't use the ones you started with otherwise the changes won't take effect.
Lol, saying all this from self experience. I love experimenting xD

Hi all,
I know some of us are not comfortable with the black font color on the buttons in Rio's Hybrid2 ROM and also for XXLM6/8 ROM.
With the guidance of doles, I managed to modified the framework-res.apk making the font color white and also adding ICS sense to the progress bar.
This mod is similar to the mod theme provided by doles but mine is mainly for Hybrid2.
Simply download the framework-res.apk and put it into ur sdcard. Replace the one under /system/framework by using root explorer. Then Reboot. DONE~
I have added a flashable zip Hybrid2_ICS_button+progressbar+extended_menu.zip for convenience. It is together with extended menu.
Remember to do a nandroid backup just in case.
Thx

Yes, of course. This framework-res.apk is based on DXLC1.
U need to pull and decompile ur framework-res.apk by using apktool.
To change the font color on buttons
Go to res\values\ and open styles.xml by using notepad then search for
style name="Widget.Button"
change <item name="android:textColor"> to white
Code:
<item name="android:textColor">#ffffffff</item>
To change the progress bar
u can follow this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1374394

Which rom are you using? Maybe you need to change them one by one by each app, perhaps editing framework-res and / or system.apk or theme you're using on cm7, check that you changed in these sites also.
Also you can check for any image file with another size or dimension in other directories within the file. apk that you modify
U changed it in phone.apk

Contacts.apk ?

Look thru the folders
Change the ones u wnt to
Yo change background of most apps u will have to edit framework-res (bg_tile)
To have diff for every app change codes from styles.xml to reroute the background to the png u want and add that png to a drawable folder
