Little "translate bug" of xda android app - About xda-developers.com

Hi all guys...I am not sure if the section is correct...anyway...I use the xda app for android and I am Italian...I noticed a little translation error (for the ambiguity of my language)..when you write a thread and try to return back without post it (eliminating it) a confirmation popup comes up with 2 buttons with the same string "annulla"...one for eliminate the post and one for cancel the last action...and sistematically I tap the wrong "annulla"...so, please...fix it...it takes 1 nanosecond for change a string in the source...I know that my English is more cryptic than AES (IT humor...XD), but I have a screenshot...XD
Hope that helps...

Wrong Thanks-counter?

Hi
I recently noticed, that the "total number of thanks" in the XDA app shows 29 for my profile rather than the 4 i actually have.
Is this a defect in the app or does it show how many times i pressed thanks?

Okay I just gave thanks to the OP to try this out, then when I refreshed my profile in the app it went from 193 to 194, The app is displaying the amount of thanks, given and not revived, Either it's meant to be like this or it's just a small hiccup someone made Should be easy to fix, Also, I just downloaded the app to test (Usually use tapatalk) but is there a reason I can see the dev section?
I don't see a reason why you shouldn't see the Dev section. Or did you want to ask "why i can not see Dev section's?

No I mean on the app, Above the words general, Is a development section, which mainly mods / admins have posted in,nothing really in it yet.
I have flagged this to the sys admin.

Account not adding subscribed threads

I don't know if this is a problem with the xda app or not. But when I reply to a post or even create one I am not being automatically subscribed to it.
Could a mod or admin of some sorts check out my account. Or have I done something incorrectly.
Thanks guys.

I think you need to activate something in your control panel buddy.

I +1 the op...
Even if I reply to posts on the site, I don't get auto-subscribed...
I have to manually subscribe each post from the app...
And I checked the options yesterday...everything seems to be in place...
(Even I was about to make a thread )
Typed using a small touchscreen
If you set the default subscription setting under Edit Options to something other than Do Not Subscribe then autosubscribe during reply or new thread creation should work.

That's the weird part...
After I had setup weekly notifs, I hadn't touched it since...
But from the last week, all of a sudden, I don't get auto-subscribed...
When I (re)checked the option, it still is set to weekly notifs...I toggled it to "no notifs" and back again, but still no solution...

Same here as OP. About a week ago, auto subscriptions stopped working. All of my settings are normal, and unchanged. I have it set to subscribe with no email.

Thanks. Glad I'm not alone here. Nothing has been changed in settings from me.
Maybe it has something to do with the new XDA 2013 theme?

That was my initial suspicion and the first thing our server guru asked about.
The issue has been raised and if he gets to the bottom of it I'm sure he'll pop his head in here and let us know.
Thanks for the heads up.

Testing thread subscriptions
Just wanted to confirm, this is just on the XDA app since the update? I tested via web and the notifications seem to be working normally.

I'm assuming this is related to app development?
I think you'd get a better response in the general Q&A forum mate.

I was just about to post a new thread about this. Subscribed threads have always worked for me. I never use the website, always the app. Since like last week, it stopped subscribing me. Someone, fix this!

This happens on my account, ever since I got it (which was a few weeks ago). It does not auto-subscribe to threads I reply to nor to threads I create; and, yes, in the options, it is set to "weekly notifications."
And, when I do subscribe to threads, it does not respect my notification type (instant, daily, weekly). I have it set to weekly, but my Gmail account is getting spammed every day dozens of times (popular thread, haha).
~Ibrahim~
I gave up on it for now and I just use the XDA app with Latest, Participated to see every thread I have been on. I don't have any threads where I just read and never replied once so I don't miss anything this way.

Oh, that's nifty; I hadn't seen that on the app! Thanks!
--UPDATE--
Well, I think it's actually working now. I'm subscribed to this thread and a new one I just made, without doing it manually. Oh, and I realized why it wasn't respecting the notifications: just setting it to "Weekly" in options only do so for new threads, not old ones. Now I changed them all to weekly, *fingers crossed*!

[GUIDE] cdmvirt Canadian S5 Port Users - AIR VIEW FIX

Couldn't post on the actual ROM thread because I am still new, but I thought I'd share because I haven't seen any mention of it yet on the thread.
This fix is only for AIR VIEW (finger), where you can hover your finger above the screen and have a pointer show, information preview, etc.
You will also need SQLite Editor.
In SQLite Editor, click on SettingsStorage app, then settings.db, then system. add two new records, and set the value for both to 1:
air_view_master_onoff
air_view_mode
If you want to have the small blue glowing pointer show up under your finger also, find the record 'finger_air_view_pointer' and set the value to 1.
Then restart and when you turn on Air View, it should work. :fingers-crossed:
If this HAS been explained before, or if it is in the new version, I apologize, I just got a little excited when I first fixed it because I had been trying for some time lol
Good day!
Amazing. Will do and post flashable hopefully

Hide thanked users list on XDA app

Please hide those users who have thanked in a particular topic
It becomes too clumsy to goto bottom of those posts
Example-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
Instead show totally thankful hits and an option to download those huge thanked stuff again
Sent from my SM-N900 using XDA Free mobile app
As a request please enable / open my last thread where I can suggest best.
It has more suggestions on mobile app for best. Keeping multiple threads confuses me. Can suggest only for best of XDA
