Anyways I was wondering how to pick a different wallpaper from the pre listed ones

Revised mine slightly to fit Google search bar and Soundhound quick song capture. I'm using nova launcher and the Time/Weather/Battery/date widget is a custom designed one. I turned on widget layering to place the Google search on top of the Time/Weather/battery/date widget.

It will also show a little birthday cake up there when one of your contacts has a birthday.

New year notification must have been checked under weather widget settings.
