[Q] i317 Not Running 4G LTE - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hello Everyone
I'm New to this forum as you can tell, Since I Know this is the best Android Forum I Hope you guys can help me with my problem.
Well Yesterday I was looking for some Rom's and I got the "Hawkish Premium ROM"
And I Installed It with the Perseus Kernel, It's a Really Nice and Fast Rom, But It's Not Running 4G LTE (at least it's not showing it),
It Was Made for the GT-N7105 (the ROM) But it is Compatible with Our Device i317.
Is there someway I can run 4G LTE? Or is it Running it and is showing 3G?
Hope you guys can help me

If I Get Lte where I live? Yes
I used to have it before installing the ROM.

Check your APN's to make sure their correct.
ROOTBOXED!

Hey I've managed to use these settings:
Name: ATT PTA
APN: pta
MMSC: (a link I Can't post for being new user)
MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Auth: none
APN type: default,mms,supl,hipri
Now I get 4G, but not LTE, are those the same settings?

On the rom I am on 4g is lte. Xould be same for you. Rum speedtest and see what your speeds are.

Best way to see if you are connected to LTE is go to settings, about device then status. There you will see what your connection is.

Unable to Send/Recieve MMS After ICS flash

flashed to ics with .111 baseband and I can't receive or send any MMS it usually just says queued for sending then says unable to send, Any help with this?
If you're on att check your apn. It should probably be the AT&T PTA not AT&T HSDPA. Spectre posted pics somewhere of what they should be.

I am experiencing the same thing. I'm gonna toy around with different APN settings to see if I can get it working. I like ICS. I'd hate to have to step backwards. :-/
I think the problem with the .111 APN is the MMS entries are not in the AT&T HSDPA. The PTA APN has those entries.

I switched mine over manually after the root/ICS process.

Just verified my settings against your attached pictures... Identical. Still the same MMS issues
EDIT: Nevermind... I missed a "/" in one of the fields. Fixed it on my phone.

T-mobile + Telus = 3g ?

I was wondering, i have been trying different roms for a couple of days and i noticed that if i dont use TELUS roms, i do not get a 4g logo on my screen.
It's always on 3g. Is it actually runing at 3g or is it just a bug since im using a T-mobile rom on a Telus phone ? Is it actualy runing 4g ?
Curently on Infamous 2.9.1 with Venom 3 #5
Any advice ?
I was thinking on trying the Stable CM9 next with Venom 6#1
Thank you.
P.S. Using Darkside's TELUS MOD RADIO

Yes this is a known issue dating back to gb roms. Telus phones will only show 3g but will still be using hspa+ (4g) as usual. It's a cosmetic issue only

Yes that is correct. You are on hspa+ 4g speeds but just are seeing the 3g logo

Thank you for clarifying !
I am showing HSPA:11 is this 4G?
If not what radio and tweaks do I need to make. And what are some working links?
I have been searching for the Blaze 4G radio (not sure which version I need), which was suggested by many as the best radio for TELUS users, plus any tweaks. But none of the links work.
I am with TELUS. Using the lastest Darkside Kernel, AOKP milestone 6, LLE4 radio.

You guys have to realize that 4g is actually 3.5g lol. So just run done speed tests, that should answer your questions right away.

I understand that 4g is really 3.5g. My question is what is the best radio and tweaks for a T-989D in the Toronto area.
And working links to the radio.
I already understand that in these ROMs, H is the symbol for 4g (3.5g). Also the speed on custom ROMs isn't as good as Stock.

Many thanks to all Devs & Techs!
There is a flashable zip that fixes this issue. Go to the Jedi ROM in the development section. It's on the first page under add ons. Should be good on any tmobile based ROM for those of us with Telus phones.

Oh that wasn't directed towards you, that was more towards the general concern of op's.
Regarding radio it really is random, some user's opinions on radios differ from others even though they're in the same area. I wouldn't focus on the speed and focus more on the latency because where's the point of having fast speed when half the time I'm waiting for a response (ping). You can go into some of the custom roms thread, some have modded radios ready to flash. Check out tdj's thread he has like 3.

[Q] LiquidSmooth RC8 Problems

So I downloaded and flashed the LiquidSmooth that i got from galaxys2rootdotcom since I couldnt find any downloads here.. Im on android 4.1.2 Of course, running mod version Liquid-JB-v2.0-RC8 and kernel [email protected] #1.
Now to the problems, The main one is my data its constantly switching from H+ down to H then back to 3g Then H, H+. Tried switching the network mode and that didnt work went into my apn settings and changing the protocol from Ipv4 to ipv4/ipv6 that didnt work either, keep in mind i unlocked my phone and now running off straight talk via the at&t sim.
Second is the gps, tried going to maps and getting directions and it wouldnt show my location.
Third is the calling, when i call people they told me it sounds like im in a tunnel. So its probably echoing.
Hopefully I can get some answers and maybe help others who have the same problems.

4G LTE=4G

My phone now shows 4G, when for the last 9 months it was 4G LTE. I'm running ParanoidKangdroid 4.2.2, and i've never had a problem with the rom. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
P.S. The down/up speed has also slowed down.

if you look in settings, about phone, status, you can see if you're actually connected to lte or not. I think its labeled mobile network type.

It says LTE:13, so how come it stopped showing 4G LTE in the status bar? Is this an AT&T thing? Thanks.
No idea... I'm on quantum and it shows 4g LTE. As long as the status does LTE you should be fine

Question...for the last 9 months were you running a TW based ROM or ParanoidKangdroid 4.2.2. Most stock TW based roms show 4G LTE for LTE and 4G for H+ (for AT&T and most US carriers anyway). In AOSP world, I have always seen LTE show simply as 4G, 3G as H, H+, or 3G, and 2G as E.

The stock rom that loserskater modded is knoxless and Selinux is permissive is very stable for me. If you don't like the touch wiz experience then download a launcher app from play store.

[Q] No LTE on Kit Kat Roms

I hope this is an easy answer, but for whatever reason when I am on a 4.4 rom I get no LTE service. I have perfect 4g and edge, but whenever I switch it to allow LTE it allows shows no data service. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance guys. Oh and I get LTE on 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 roms. My current rom is SlimKat

I am using simple mobile apn. They have an app that sets the apn for you. I get lte with the same apn on stock roms. But even when I use tmobile.fast All I get is a max of 7 down.

I am using the stock kernel that came with aokp. I did download selinux changer and changed it to permisseve. It made very little change. I did make a backup of my efs folder in twrp I am going to try restoring that. I remember someone telling me to do that before when kitkat first came out.
---------- Post added at 09:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:29 PM ----------
I just tried restoring my efs folder and now I got 25 down on the first test, the second test i only got 1 mbps download, and the third was the same as the second. I dont know if it is because I have low signal or what but that is prety weird. I am going to to go out and try a few diffedrent spots where the signal is stronger. I dont care if I get crappy speeds at my house because I have wifi but I just want to make sure that it is working properly.
