Im finding a screen replacement on eBay, price is expensive from 250 to 300$.
I dont know is need to buy glass together digiter or not. if only glass maybe cheaper, and where i can find it.
Hi,
sorry to hear that you have broken your Note. Unfortunately it's not possible to replace the glass only. You need to purchase the complete glass/digitizer/AMOLED assembly.

He said he found the digitizer/glass/assembly on ebay. The price is about 250 USD.

If the Note is put together like the SGS2 was, buy everything assembled already. Dont buy just the digitizer, it will cause you massive headaches. You can try cnn.cn
250$ is not bad for a newly released phone at all. Makes me feel better about not using a case/screen protector.

Yes, the same answer today from local Samsung service, and price is about 280$
Im going to replace this and never believe about unbrokable gorilla glass again.
Take care with a Note and dont give it other one to try it, just because the Note is big upnormal smartphone, if not daily user may be broken it.

Hello all!
Sorry for my english, not that god...
If is true or not i dont know, but i have heard complains from manny people about this so caled Gorilla glass. As it turns out on Galaxy Note is very likely some new glass and not Gorilla glass.
Someone heard something simmilar?
Since quite a number of users are wondering whether our dear SGW is scratch-resistant, I sent an email to Samsung for clarification.
Surprisingly, it is made of Gorilla Glass Attached the proof.
Fyi, Gorilla glass has a Vickers hardness of 622–701 kgf/mm2 (for diamond is about 1000 kgf/mm2). Hence, it is quite hard generally.
However, I do not recommend u to do any scratch test on it. Especially Impact loading on it. Hard doesn't mean Tough. It may still crack.
For more info on Gorilla glass, please read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorilla_Glass

Reply from Corning. This shows that some of the devices are actually using Gorilla glass but the manufacturers do not disclose this to consumers due to certain reasons.

haha, sure if u use something harder than it to scratch. Diamond is the hardest and practically "Perfect Scratch resistant". U can make a perfect screen for yourself. LOL

I also wonder why. but just like Iphone, they also don't announce officially what kind of material they used.
Wow..nice info for sure, so we can tell if our screen is made from gorilla glas ha ha ha

Yes, of course. Other things like metals such as Titanium, Platinum, can scratch it too. Put those accessories away from the screen, just in case.

U can do that but at ur own risk. Gorilla glass is not perfectly scratch resistant.
Gorilla Glass is Scratch Resistant, thus it should be scratch-able, but with extra efforts, only by specific materials, or other requirements.
A Scratch Immune (Just for example), should be un-scratch-able.
Thanks for the info, now I'm thinking of removing my ugly scratched screen protector.

I'm all over this, thanks!
Very cool ^^
When I finally upgrade, I am definitely ordering one
is it re-usable? Can I take it off one S3 and put it in another? I'm switching from a 16 to a 32gb because I was lied to about first day availability
Sub'd ordering one soon! How is this thing with bubbles?
Also, very important to note: The S3 screen has edges that curve down into the phone. I don't think this will work as well for the S3 as it did for the nexus.

No bubbles at all. Lay it on and bubbles get sucked out, really interesting to watch.
We've had our S3 for a week now and the curve is not as severe as you think, it is extremely minimal.
Does it interfere with touch screen responsiveness? Just considering how thick it is compared to other screen protectors. Does it distort the screen at all?
Coupon code no longer working :-/

99% of the time is works flawlessly, usually the screen will not respond if you're doing something very precise, but it doesn't happen often. The thickness is comparable to 4 pieces of paper. No screen distortion at all.

Give it another try and let me know.
Howdy dudes and hoes.
Is there any screen protectors that doesn't effect the s-pen input that much? I would like a screen protector, but i don't want my screen to feel like a touchscreen phone from 2007 If that's the case, i'm better of without one.
Well I like invisible shield by zagg 25 year guarantee, strange to begin with but works great with the pen had mine about a month and still looks good
I'm using the Martin Fields one. The protector is unnoticeable (if applied correctly) and the S-pen works really well. It's also highly resistant.
Well, here's the list of screen protectors I used so far :
-original Samsung;
-Cellularline anti-glare;
-3M Vikuiti.
I'm using the 3M for the moment... did spend about three times as much as on a Cellularline one, but oh well... I thought what the hell, everyone's talking about 3M Vikuiti and how good their screen protectors are... Well, IT SUCKS. Grease getting on the screen shield == funny rainbow colors if you look at it from any other angle than 90 degrees . Also, the "spot" is noticeable... the edges are untouched, but more to the middle of the screen, this sort of like grease splotch appears...
I'm going with MOMAX next time. They and Guardline always pleased me. In fact, everyone did... but 3M deserves a hanging.
-----
But as far as I know, no screen protector will impair your ability to use the S Pen. Hell, wrap your S Pen in a screen cleaning cloth... wrap it in five such cloths... then see if it works. I'm telling you : mine did work .

We don't have ZAGG here. The only place I saw them is iStyle, where specific case manufacturers include a ZAGG shield in their packages. At least, I saw one ZAGG shield in a case for the iPod Nano (yeah, that little yet expensive watch that can play music).
I've heard good & bad things about ZAGG... They stretch and revert to their original form (don't know how that is useful)... They tend to turn yellow/blue because over time... Oh well... I'm good with what we do have available here.
I'm curious about the warranty thing, though. Those ZAGG shields from the case I talked about above... the package said you've got life warranty, so you can always go to their store and ask for a replacement if your shield broke/got cut or anything... Their HQ = NOT IN ROMANIA, haha.
-----
For the record, I didn't buy that iPod Nano case to see the ZAGG shield inside. A friend of mine did... just because they were on super-mega-extra promotions, so he could sell them at 15x the price later .
Cool! I'll check 'em out. And correct me if i'm wrong. There are no screen protector applied to the Note when you unbox it the first time, right? I mean, there is nothing you should take off before applying a new one?

There is, I guess. But it's got drawings on it, so you can't miss it if there is one. Dunno... check unboxing videos on YouTube. I forgot if there is one , but if there it, you just can't miss it, drawings or not (it's probably gonna stick out on one corner or peel itself off if you put your phone in the pocket for multiple times).

Had my note about 6 months, it's in my pocket every day and no scratches...
I did try applying a few when I first got the note but couldn't get them to line up right and always got at least one bubble which annoyed me.....

That's not true.
The day I got my previous phone (Galaxy Nexus), I didn't throw a screen protector on it. I was gonna do that the day after, and until then, I treated the phone like it was king (kindly placed it down on a pillow or something soft). The next morning : huge scratch on the glass, thank God it was BELOW the screen.
Also, the phone I had before the Nexus : Galaxy S2. Somehow, two dots got "scratched onto" the screen. Like the glass got hit by keys or something. Same thing happened to the Desire...
So, better use a screen protector than to quietly weep later .
I the end I bought the housing cover. screensaver desmejoraba always dirty and note the appearance of

No. But you may never now when a grain of sand gets on the screen, you swipe it away and discover the damage some hours after...
Of course, there are exceptions. I think you are just lucky. Or perhaps the one in a thousand exception that can hammer screws down with his phone, while others smash even when gently bumped. It happens...

I know what you mean. I had pre-gorilla glass phones that got scratched if you breathed on them too heavily.
The Note is my second gorilla glass phone and my (dare I say) iPhone's screen it's still good as new. Which is quite handy as I will be selling it soon as there is no way I am going back from Android.

Hey man, I've been watching your videos. I just got notification from Seidio of their new TGSP this morning and created a thread to track any purchaser's experience. Have you tried this one?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/accessories/seidio-vitreo-tgsp-screen-adhesive-t3618440
That's what spurred me to make this post... I've emailed them and talked to them. About the glass.. They couldn't tell me what makes it different.. It's still edged adhesive.. In my eyes not worth more then 10 dollars.. This companies are crazy.. They prey on people's trust and lack of knowledge... I'm not down with that
I spoke with them and was informed buy a rep who literally had one in his hands that the adhesive was full screen?

Well if we're going solely off the rep I spoke with vs. the rep GravX spoke with, then that technically leaves us at "unknown" status. Unless you are sure, because you're holding the protector yourself, which isn't likely since they just announced it today. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
