LG Smart Shutter - LG Optimus G (International)

Hey All,
Just got my LG Optimus G (EU Version - I live in the UK).
Correct me if im wrong, has LG replaced 'Smart Shutter' feature with 'Continuous Shot' and if so... are they the same thing?
I just have:
Normal, HDR, Panorama, Continuous Shot.
So far I'm loving it (Moved back from Windows Phone), I thought the Q Slide would be irritating but I put a Youtube video on whilst browsing the web (which I've wanted to be able to do for SOOOOO long) and found it was very cool!

Ignore me I found it in a different menu

Best Video Chat app?

Ive searched around didnt find much info on the Nitro HD.
I just picked this up for my wife, she loves it.
Whats the best video chat app (preferably free & mainly 3G)?
We tried Fring, doesnt look like front cam is supported.
Tango doesn't seem to work either.
Skype didnt work.
We got ooVoo to work, but quality seems a bit lower than Fring.
Hows the Qik app? It seems its wi-fi only is that correct?
Thanks for the help guys.
Skype works fine, if you don't mind hold the phone sideways.
GTalk (already installed as Talk) also works, which I found sound quality better then skype, but video worse. However you'll need root and SQLite Editor to manually set flag "gtalk_vc_wifi_only" to false in "Google Services Framework" -> gservices.db -> main
and do that after every update.
Or maybe this app will do

Tango works great

skype green on receiving end
Hi all,
The front facing camera of my nitro hd is not working properly in skype. I got my HD nitro recently and updated it to the ICS leak. So I don't know if the problem existed on gingerbread or not. My talking partners can see me but only through very annoying green vertical lines (see attched jpg). However, I can see myself without the green lines on the lg nitro screen. I can also clearly see my talking partners, so no problems here.
Is there a workaround for this? any advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

P.s. It seems like other devices have had similar problems.
can't include links becaus I'm a new user, sorry, just google

[Q] Lg E975 Camera info!

Good Evening,
i've some question about stock camera of our lg E975!
I've used camera stock, but i've found snap camera HDR, i prefer to setup manually, that have a tons of customization except one ... face detection!
I've tried many app but no ones except camera stock have a face detection! how does it possible?!
The second question is about autofocus and synchronization with flash... is completely WRONG!!!!
how nobody have tried to take something from nexus 4, our twin ( over there synchronization with flash, is right) and put into e975?!
Try Open Camera from F-Droid, it has face detection and a lot more

I had that "not saving" pictures problem, I ended up "resetting" the whole phone and the problem solved

Camera: Manual mode lagging

Good day, users. I apologize in advance for my bad English. I'm not a native speaker. I was faced with some features of the device. if you turn on the camera, select the manual mode and manually select ISO, then selecting the manual shutter speed, the camera starts to lag hopelessly. The greater the exposure, the greater the lag. At the same time if you select auto ISO, the stop lags. Only I have a problem?
P. S OxygenOS 3.2.1
Noticed that to but I think the display is showing you what you have selected e.g if you select a 4 second shutter it will display 4 second lag on the display. I know its sounds odd and my g4 does not do this but I think one plus are doing this on purpose maybe ? I could be totally wrong and I don't like it also but am sure it's showing a preview of what is going to really happen ?

I searched this question and found the same answer. It's really not cool. I think it can be fixed(Maybe in CM or custom camera driver). I have Meizu Pro 5 and it's have more comfortable behavior like your G4.

LG G8 Android 10 - New HDR Video, but does nothing..?

LG , as usual, is not very explanatory about how their products stands out on the market like showing how good its steadycam is.
After being updated to Android 10, i noticed (i'm quite sure this wasn't there on Android 9) that if you go to VIDEO mode on the stock app, you will see "HDR" as a selection. Note that this is not supported (greyed out) if 4k 60fps is selected, this is only supported up to 4k 30fps. HOWEVER, i did lots and lots of test with heavy backlight where HDR *should* kick in like on the iPhone + Samsungs (where the blown out sky would show blue , or at least brighten up the dark foreground due to the backlight). IN this case, it does neither, it's exavtly the same whether HDR video is on or off.
Note i'm not talking about photos (yes this works), I'm purely talking about the settings under VIDEO sub-tab. Has anyone realize this and found out if this is a bug? Is it just me perhaps?
Also, another un-marketed "hidden" feature, is SUPER steady mode. If you go to video and select 1080p (only available here, no higher), you can not only enable the standard "Steady Recording" under settings, but you will now have a NEW shakey hand icon OUTSIDE of this setting on main screen. Press that icon, and now you will have extra cropped in footage, in order to have SUPER steady mode (more steady than just Steady Recording alone).
