Does your IMEI begin with 0049? Looks like a blacklist on generic IMEI.

Yeah but it doesn't actually do anything wrong. Unless you're on CDMA.

*Downgrade to stock 4.0.4 unrooted (use ODIN) here is a link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1586807) and here is the one i downloaded http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1586807&page=12 but there are other versions of ICS that should work
*Run the Galaxy Nexus Toolkit (download here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392310) select your version, then click the option 8 to unlock, root, instal recovery (otr TWRP) etc.
*After all that google for the last version of ****docomo (i believe its 3.1, but the one from xda-developers, is no longer available)
*Run the last version of ****docomo on your Galaxy Nexus and click Unlock forever
wait until the process is finished.
*dial #*06# and see if your imei is restored.
test your signal it should be nice
*backup your EFS (here is an app to do that http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1510906) save your backup to your pc, email it to you, save it on your dropbox folder, and copy it on a personal pendrive, and burry it on the ground just case
*upgrade to 4.1 via OTA
*upgrade to 4.2 via OTA
*perform a nandroid backup to your pc http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420351 (just for safety and paranoia )
if your want flash a custom ROM (but i got a little paranoid after all xD lol)
if you need to restore your EFS, do it as its shown here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21066107#post21066107 or simply flash the new radio.img with odin
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I dont know if this works for you, but this is the exact way i followed to restore my IMEI and SIM UNLOCK my Galaxy Nexus. I lost the signal after an upgrade to 4.2.2, and it seemed to accept the simcard for about 5 seconds, and then it got stuck into EMERGENCY CALL ONLY. (weird that it read simcards from other carriers, but not the one i neded), i had the generic IMEI, so tha could be the reason AND i dindt back up my EFS folder then.
After following this steps, my phone is fine unlocked, and has never lost the signal
ps. sorry for my english, but i am from venezuela, I hope you understand everything and share your results thanks..!1

Assuming you have a generic imei (0049 something) due to a permanent sim-unlock to an originally locked phone?
If that's the case, run the apk here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1548210 and you should get your imei back

I'm an idiot and clicked clear efs while using Odin. Is there anything I can do? I still have the correct imei so that's good news. I have no backup. Also 4g works fine just no cdma. Vzw nexus btw.
What do you mean that you still have the correct imei? Do you have a stored copy of it or just have the number from the back of the phone?

Should just be able to call Verizon and have them reactivate it. If it's anything like Sprint you would just have to update profile after they do. Just a guess.

Reading phone info...

Repairing IMEI... OK

Done with Samsung Tool v.14.5
Please advise how to add 3g or 4g. Edge is extremely slow Thanks.
Days Later:
Problem resolved. You need QPST v2.7.378 and SGS3 QCN Generator (Peoplearmy). Although both I believe was created for the I535 (Verizon) it resolved my problem in which I'm able to get 3g/4g on my phone (T999) using the AT&T network after I repaired the IMEI.

I've been looking for this problem for almost a month and almost every xda thread link people post is dead.
Been stuck on Edge for almost a month, so finding these links that supposedly solve everything and then seeing they are not accesible to me is very frustrating. :/

If your IMEI shows 0, no amount of flashing will help you. You must restore you IMEI to have data working again. If you backed up your IMEI or EFS folder your set, just restore it.

[Q] HELP

Hi,
I will like to know something, I have a samsung galaxy note 2 which I rooted. After that I had it unlocked.
The problem now is I am on a 3 network in the UK but now my signal bars are full but I cant make any call or receive any call.
When I try to make a call, I get a error message stating ( mobile network not available). Is it because I rooted and unlocked thats why I am not being able to use my simcard?
Please any help will do or do I have to send it to repairs because I have tried to root again but I have lost the SuperSu and other stuff.
Please help.

I have not installed any ROM, when I unlocked it everything disappeared I don't have SuperSu,Titanium backup and all the apps I installed.
I now installed triangle way but it doesn't work anymore.
I am thinking maybe it is only my 3network company who can properly unlock my device since it is now unlocked but cant use the same card I was using before.I tried to unroot but I found out that it will be better to root it again then try to unroot because the triangular away is not working on it now.

Is there anyone who can sort it out for me so I can pay if there is a price to pay because even my 3 simcard, is not getting the signal.

1.do you able to make emergency call?
If yes, device is likely locked and you need to unlock.
If your device was working fine before then try flashing stock rom for your carrier.
Another possibility is device is banned, usually happens if you purchased second hand and it is stolen
2.if you not able to make emergency call then
Check for imei
If imei is not displayed correctly like one on back of device, likely your efs folder get corrupted.

Thanks very much for your response, I have checked my IMEI at the back of my phone and the last 6 numbers/02 but when I checked with that *#06#, it is /01. I don't know if that makes such a difference. This wasn't the case when I first rooted the phone, but when I unlocked it, it all started, I don't get any signal at all, I am always getting the no signal sign on the top right corner. I also tried to root my phone again but I seem not to be able to open the odin application, I can't find any program to open it.
I want to send it back to the company but I have to reset the binary counter using triangle way but it says my phone is not rooted which is strange because I can download titanium backup but it doesn't work. I really need some help because I can't use my phone now.

Thanks very much, Yeah the first 15 numbers are the same and what do you mean by flashing stock Rom?
When I check the binary counter, it says 3 counts.

Guys, will someone from the xda developers HELP me out here, I can't even open odin anymore with the program I was using. I want to root my phone again so I can use triangle away so I can reset the binary counter so I can return it and blame them for my network problems after unlocking my galaxy note 2 n7100.
I have tried and tried and tried but can't seem to be able to do that so if you know anyone Here in the UK or a town called Swindon in the UK please let me know so I can take it to him.
