[Q] how to change nat to open - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Does anyone one know how to make the notes nat change to open. Im on jedi rom and trying to game and watch netflix but when I play cod it saysy nat is moderate and netflix wont give me hd so does anyone know who ever does will hence forth be my hero

NAT takes place on your router/modem and it has nothing to do with your Note 2.
You need to open inbound ports on your router/modem if there is no option for uPnP.
Try portforward.com, this site has guides for almost all modems.
Just for curiosity, have you installed any firewall software on your Note 2 ?

Thanks for the reply but no firewall or anything like that when I try to play games though it will say my nat is moderate see because I just moved and dont have internet at the moment I just want to know of a way to open the ports on my phone it said somewhere this could be done with a computer or something like that

Sorry, please let me know if:
A) You are playing online games on your note 2 on you are getting a closed nat message?
Are you playing cod on your note 2 ? Never heard of this before.
Or
B) You are tethering data from your note 2, to your gaming console and you get this closed nat message ?

[Q] NBA League pass & blackout

I have paid for the Mobile League pass only to find out that most games i want to see are blacked out, very frustrating. I have read that some people have found a workaround to view games that are blacked out using a proxy masking browser. I am wondering if there is a way to do this on the mobile version of league pass for Android. many thanks and more for the help.
Try one of those GPS fakers from the market.

No go, it didn't work. Thanks for the reply

I believe league pass checks the IP not the GPS location.

Ah. Thats probably why I couldn't trick at bat either. Thanks.

I hate NBA League Pass so much because of the blackouts. Paying $54.99 for this stupid is nonesense. I just stream the games i want to watch online. Best way to go about it imo.

Ad-hoc Wifi Games?

Has anyone found a game that will allow two or more players to compete head-to-head using an ad-hoc wireless network? If Nintendo can pull it off, I'd think that Android could, too. Why play online when you and your friends could set up and play on a hand-held wireless LAN party?
Maybe I just gave away a million dollar idea.

[Q] Hotspot help with PS4

Having problems connecting my PS4 to my mobile hotspot, I have a Tmo note 3 but currently using MetroPCs. I don't have the hotspot with my service so I tether Hotspot with the widget and use it that way (For free) but the main problem is using my PS4 with it, My ps4 is able to obtain IP Address and have interne access but the PSN sign-in always fail, So I called up sony and told them my problem and they said something about Port forwarding or something like that and they gave me a website with the ports I need to access the PSN is there anyway I can port forward off a mobile hotspot?
After you set up your settings on the ps4, sign in to psn. Then try and test again. Happened to me, and I thought it was my internet connection. But it was bcuz I didnt sign into psn after I saved all my network settings.

Unrestricted tethering on Wicked v1

Can someone please confirm that the unrestricted tethering is functional on the Wicked v1 KitKat Rom. Im currently running his v5 rom and I have tethering working, but its still restricted and I use it for my Ps3. I would like to know if anyone can confirm tethering is unrestricted, and able to use it on Ps3, Ps4, or Xbox because it took me while to set and get working tethering on v5 and really wanna upgrade to KitKat cause I have it on my S4 and it grew on me, but before I upgrade my Note 3, I wanna confirm a good tether setting, because as of right now, my note 3 is phone of daily choice because I love Wicked Roms.........(Big Fan:thumbup.

Works great.. I have 3gbs tethering and haven't used 1mb of it but used over 30gb of my unlimited data via computer, tablet, laptop.

Did you have to change any settings or what, 3rd party apps, etc., cause ive been at this trying to figure out where im going wrong, and im swamped in agony behind this. I need someone to walk me thru the process step by step.

Thanks for the intell, but I need it confirmed working for Ps3, ps4, or Xbox. Im a gamer, and with my note 3, I get a connection of 10.5 mbs and up, on Wicked 4.3. If confirmed, step by step process would really be appreciated.

Usage like that only forces the carriers hands, causing them to eventually raise cost, I have a home Internet provider for "unlimited" data but 30gb on a cellphone rate plan is excessive

Yep, that's it. Once plugged in pull down your notifications and tap the usb and change your settings.
Ok. Done. Tv still doesn't recognize, but does recognize usb stick, btw, I bought a sd reader/writer usb adapter it doesn't recognize. Im trying to watch movies I have downloaded to my phone, on my tv. TV is brand new.

Have you tried using wifi-direct?That may be your only option short of screen mirroring via wifi or dongle.
How do I wifi direct? My tv is a smart tv. Run the wifi on my tv and let phone recognize it?
Sent from my SM-N900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I dont think its as easy as plugging a usb stick in the tv. My tv reads the usb stick easily. It wont do the same for my phone. Always a complication when u think or should be easy
Sent from my SM-N900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
You might look at AllCast.
The issue is probably the drivers then. The TV likely has a basic USB driver in it so the USB stick will work, but probably won't allow the phones drivers to install on the TV. So like what was mentioned, if you can't wifi direct or screen mirror (must have Samsung TV for that to be on the TV) you will likely need a Samsung Allcast/Allshare hub. Which in my mind isn't worth it when you can just move them over to a USB stick and watch them from there.
Theres not a rom or driver or sumthn to fix it?

Where did you get your movies from that you can't access on your smart tv? You should be able to stream them from wherever/whatever app you got them from...unless you got them illegally
But nevertheless, AllCast mentioned above is an option, but I think the better option is to get a TV video adapter for your phone? Why not get an HDMI/MHL cable? Duh! They're cheap, like 10 bucks off ebay. Make sure you have the 10/11-pin adapter, not the 5-pin, in regards of the Note 3.
If screen mirroring isn't your savvy and you want the full HD experience of accessing your videos directly thru usb, there is a way to mount your phone as a usb mass storage rather than MTP, but Samsung (and others) don't allow that capability in their OS's (probably to try to get you to use their stupid Kies software). To work around this you'll need root and a terminal emulator. In terminal enter su and type "setprop persist.sys.usb.config mass_storage". THIS MIGHT REALLY MESS UP YOUR USB & ADB CONFIGURATION. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Really it's not a big deal tho, to revert back use "setprop persist.sys.usb.config mtp, adb" and reboot like 3 times until it finally fixes itself.
Hope this helps!

What's the best format of a video to be played on a TV? I haven't tried this yet. My videos are currently on MP4 format. Thanks!
The videos are playable on anything. So what next? I did the terminal emulator....verbatim. .. nothing happened. My phone didnt slap me in the face or gouge my eyes. However, I didnt plug it into the tv yet. Yes I have allshare.

Thats a big ol negatory big rap. Terminal thingy is a no go. Thanx tho. And duh! I could just push the stuff to my usb and play it. But! I paid for top of the line (note3). It should wipe my a$$. And I have no doubt it will.....one day
