ok well at the moment is there a sidekick 4g rom for the desire ? ( i know it's basically touch wiz rom under all the graphics etc ) and does the desire run touch wiz roms well ?
i'm using droidzones starburst sense rom , what i wanna know is how do i further extend my internal storage for example i have 400mb set as internal how do i extend it further , iwanna extend it to like 800mb maybe ...?
thanks
It's answered on the faq at supernova.droidzone.in, should be Question No 1.
See the section "Common questions"
Afaik, nobody has even tried to port touchwiz to HTC phones. We don't generally like it.

[Q] (Q & Discussion) Comparison of DoomKernel & CosmicDans Turbo Kernel (multiboot)
So I am currently running the old CDMA DoomKernel from april of last year. I am know that recently CosmicDan has released his Turbi Kernel that can multiboot GB,ICS,JB,AOKP,AOSP. But I when I tried to use it I had some issues with the kernel on my CDMA PLAY.
I will be switching to my unlocked AT&T PLAY in about 3 weeks but was curious what people thoughts were and if they have used Turbo Kernel if they noticed an performance boosts from all the other kernels that are available? If anyone can throw in their thoughts/experiences here that would be great. Thanks.
Re: [Q] (Q & Discussion) Comparison of DoomKernel & CosmicDans Turbo Kernel (multiboo
I have ran both kernals, personal experience for me is Turbo has problems keeping jelly bean running my phone slows way down before it restarts itself but will run pa man great with out issues I have never had any problems running any if doom lords kernals they work perfect but they inky go so far I.e ixs beta that I'm aware of atm (please correct me if I am wrong in stated that)

turbo kernel does not have support camera app for gb rom....
so...if camera is important to you... just forget about this kernel
remember... slot1 is fastest that another slot because data & system stored in internal memory phone
and the others slot will be stored in memory card....

But if ur SD is fast like a class 10 32 Gig then the slot 2-3-4 will be proibably faster or same speed!!!
Hi, I saw that there are some alternatives but none up to date comparison or advice.
I love having stock rom, but I want to overclock it a bit and to have init.d support and int2ext support.
So, for kernel:
- Dust
- Cake
- Sense_fire
which (and what version) is the most stable/the best?
Rom: should I keep stock rom or install a stock-like rom? As for the kernel... Which is the most stable?
Basically I hope to have a rock-solid-like-stock device with a rom that is stock-like and has init.d support and a kernel that supports oc, ext4 (and maybe swap). Is too much to ask?
Last question: to swap or not to swap, that is the question... I red a lot about swap but there are very different opinions and I'm a bit confused. What do you advise?
Thank you very much!

see you will find stock with init.d from my signature link, check my work..
and i have made kernel with oc and without oc with lots of features and also ext4 and swap support.
feel free to try.

Well, I already saw that and I'm considering your work. But I ask to you (I think you are using your own kernel and rom) is it rock-solid? What does it have better than other roms or kernels (like dust or cake)?
I know that everyone should try things and there are different opinions and so on... But unfortunatly I have to "tweak" a phone that I can't have in my hands for too much time and too much times to try different roms and kernels, and for a rom-change I should also backup and restore everything, because is the primary phone of a friend. So I'm searching about opinions of users that have tried different things to try to find the better one at the first shot

oh okay..yeah i am using my sense_fire_v1 kernel because i dont like OC.and int2ext4+ with 500 mb ext4 and 500 mb swap and my phone is faster than it was on stock kernel.
dust and cake are good but they are old and also drain toomuch battery so i dont use them instead i made new kernels.
edit : Questions should be in Q & A forum.
as you are asking for opinions it's okay but remove that question sign.

Ok, I'll try your kernel+rom... But for swap... What about sd card life? And if I want to use it, I should enable it in any way or is automatically enabled if I have the partition on the sd card?

Ok, done :good:
Uhh well, last night I just update to android 4.4 but I wonder I can't use swapit ram expander, and it says like this attachment,or got any way to increase ram on 4.4? sry for my bad english.
I think because of the kernel. kernel doesn't have swap support. Moreover, you may use khan kernel. I recommend its 362 mb ram version.
you can find the khan kernel in this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2593327
hrinfrnlmjsty's right, the current kernels don't have SD swap.
Oh thx guys i will try later.:good:
Uhh well i were update the kernal already but it also sayimg same things as well, but what's means of hard ware lock?
Hi,
I've been using tips from this community . I decided to become a member recently. I've been using an Arc S since April 2012. I'd had bluetooth(bootloop) and Wi-Fi (extremely slow) problems with ICS(stock). I'd then rooted and installed this kitkat ROM ( [ROM][CM11][Arc/S][UB] Xperia UltraKat v2.1.1 | KK 4.4.2 | 11/4/2014 | [DISCONTINUED]). The Wi-Fi and bluetooth problems vanished at the cost of a resource hogging ROM( it took up a lot of RAM and internal memory ). I could use those features but there wasn't much space to do so. I'd then downgraded to ICS and installed this ICS ROM([ROM]{ICS} Xperia Ultimate HD 5.0.1 | Extreme Innovation | Performance redefinied |]) recently. The ROM is amazing; it's fast and doesn't take up much space but the Wi-Fi is slow ( download erratically - took a few hours to download 18MB). I have a feeling that the Wi-Fi problem is intimately linked to ICS. I mean no disrespect to the developers, they've done their part.
In short, could someone suggest a ROM in which:
1) There are no Wi-Fi problems.
2) There are no bluetooth problems.
3) The ROM is fast and I get sufficient( ~250-300MB) internal memory.
4) Games work smoothly(optional )
I've tried searching but I want to know for certain that the above things work(from people who have actually used the ROM).
I looked at this thread ([Q&A][KK]Review of 2 roms, with tips and bugs and future suggestions) , but it doesn't answer my questions specifically. Plus, I'm skeptical about returning to kitkat
I guess I'm looking for a JB ROM. Any ideas, suggestions or comments ?
Go to Super Jelly Bean 8.0 with SuperFusion kernel. Very good performance en stable rom.

Thanks, I'm using it now. It's ultra smooth but the WiFi is laggy.
Ore try this rom : [ROM][KERNEL] [4.4.4][CM11][GRAPHITE] [UBRTC 4.9 + JustAchi's][6.7.15]
With Mike s kernel ( 30-08-2015).
And gapps: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347845902
I think this is better.
I am using this now .
On Antutu benchmark i get 7660 points. (stock speed.1017mhz)

I won't suggest using a JB ROM since they're much laggier than KK. If you want smoothness KK is your best bet. Best is to try Mike's CM11 nightlies.

JB ROMs are laggier than KK? I didn't know that. When I was using the kitkat ROM(ultrakat), I used to get ~60-90MB of free RAM. I'm using a JB ROM now(Super Jelly Bean 8.0) and I get ~170-210MB of free RAM. And there's no lag at all.
I'll still try the CM11 based ROM though. Thanks for the suggestion.

There's certain tweaks that can be done to the ROM that reduces lag. KK is supposed to be faster because it was developed for low end devices.

What kind of tweaks? Do you mean changing the I/O scheduler and/or overclocking?

Changing the I/O scheduler can improve device performance but it's not so obvious. I won't recommend overclocking because you're going to fry the mobo especially when you OC to 2GHz. You can try V6 supercharger script. Did wonders for my Arc S back then.

More than 250 MB free on your Arc S? even after installing gapps? Can you share the original cm11 kernel by mike? I don't want to download the entire ROM.
Or did you mean this ROM - {All 2011}[DEV][KitKat 4.4.4][LegacyXperia] unofficial CyanogenMod 11.0 builds ??
Yes this rom.
You must try it because i dont no now how much memory it was.
The kernel is inside the zip rom file.
For Arc s (anzu) ,download this file :https://s.basketbuild.com/devs/LegacyXperia/anzu/cm-11.0/nightlies
