What was it?
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
In the lockscreen setting, I accidentally turned on "glowpad torch".... So whenever I press and hold the lockscreen unintentionally for more than a second it trigger torch! And also when u swipe the lockscreen to an unassigned target it triggers it too.... For a moment I thought someone was spying on me or something

I really love the ripple effect of the lock screen for the SGS3. Am I able to use it with a different wallpaper (other than stock)? It won't let me select ripple, because I'm using a different picture, but it's not a LWP. Does ripple effect only work with the preselected, stock wallpapers?

Yeah, I'm running XquiziT v26. I couldn't get it to work when it was not rooted and stock, also.

Im on v26 as well. So youve never had it working??? Thats just odd.
In lock screen options are you certain you have ripple effect checked?

Weird thing is:
It was blacked out, but I found out why. I was using a third-party application to set my home screen/lock screen wallpaper. For some ought reason, the phone confused the static pictures with live wallpaper. So, I saved one of the wallpapers and opened it in a photo viewer and set it as my backdrop. Sure enough, when I checked, the "ripple effect box" was no longer grayed out.

Thanks anyway for replying. Obligatory "thanks" for the effort on your part.
If need-be, a mod can close this thread.

Does anyone know how to or if it has already been done to change the color of the text without using a third party lockscreen? I have Widget locker but I like to use the system. As you can see in the screen shot it can be difficult to see the light text on the light back ground. I am on Cyanogen Mod 10 final. Any thoughts?

Use Aokp JBMS1. They have an option for that. That's why i prefer Aokp, lot more customizations.

Is there any way to do it without flashing an entirely new ROM? Is the AOKP as stable as CM10 stable version?
Aokp is very stable. I haven't ran CM10, so I can't compare. I would assume they run equally as smooth.

Wondering if it's the Rom your using? Also is it a hybrid Rom, CM/TW??
If you really want it working and is was working b4. Then might be something on ya phone blocking it. I would just do a full wipe of the phone and start over fresh!!

Maybe your back button is toast..
Do you have long press back button to close app checked in development settings?
I somehow turned halo on and can't find the setting to turn it off.
Here's a screen shot:

Check the box for reverse halo, then you can double tap and hold on the halo icon to drag it around the screen and remove it by dropping it on the X at the top of the screen.
Thank worked, thanks borkan.

There isn't a way to do that yet out of the box. Though there might be some fix for that out there. I have not searched for one.
