Just in case you didn't notice, you double posted. You may want to contact one of the mods and request one be deleted.
I hadn't ever heard of Mega, but you said they are back, so I was just curious what happened to them before?
Also, the app you linked is in beta and hasn't been updated in a while. There are two others that have been updated within the last week, so there are options for anyone interested.
Thanks for the heads up on this! 50gb is always nice! Do you know if they auto delete files of a certain age?

Thanks for the link. I think ill wait and see with this one! After what happened the first time around, I'm not sure I want my data on their servers.
And remember how frustrating it was when they got shut down and all the links here on xda became useless!

Better than Dropbox!

In case you don't already have it, Minus is like Dropbox but instead of 2GB of free space you get 10GB for free!
You can upgrade up to 50GB for free by sharing with friends (which is what I'm doing) for 1GB at a time for each person that joins through you.
If you would like to try it, please Sign up as it gets me more free space!
Android, iPhone, Windows, MacOS, and Linux supported
C'mon, give it a try...
No, but really I do think this is a pretty sweet app and I thought y'all might appreciate it.
EDIT:
I have gotten my maximum 50GB of free space, so here are some others' referral links you can sign up through to help them out
Just pick one!

It keeps telling me that I can't upload files larger than 200Mb. Thoughts? If that's the case, I'll have to go back to DB.

According to their website:
"The size limit currently is 2 GB per file..."
Which is I admit a limitation of Minus, But even full feature movie files can be brought down to less than 2GB easily.
Not sure what the problem you're running into is. Have you tried their support?

Yea, I saw that, weird. I got the same error from my W7 pc and my Mac. Oh well...
Found that if an upload is interrupted and I don't delete the partial file before trying to reupload I get the same error. That is the only way I have been able to get that message.
But after deleting the incomplete file it works fine again.
Hope that helps!

I like minus and dropbox both. One thing about minus, is it sorts the files into upload date, and you have to rename each one to make it more readable. I wish it was like dropbox in the sense that when you open the app it shows you nothing but files.
Good find thought, I used your link for my account
600 MB additional free storage
Hi all
Just found a smart way to increase your Dropbox account with 600 MB:
1 Sign into your existing Dropbox account (or create a new account)
2 Goto https://www.dropbox.com/free
3 Follow instructions ... and voila 600 MB additional free storage

Rethink The Way You Think
I.downloaded it and it said it wasn't even ready yet and they would email me. Docs have had this functionality for.a.while though. Oh well another 5gb free storage.can't hurt. One of.this companies has to enlarge the file size that can be uploaded though most of my files exceed the limit. Does anyone have any recommendations.

Romplr GONE! Do you have a copy?

I found it in the playstore, although it's been removed from their servers, as it cannot be downloaded anymore. I have looked all over for it and I can't get my hands on even a single mirror to this app, I kindly ask that if *anyone* has romplr installed on their phone, send me a mirror and i'd be most grateful and so will anyone else looking for it as it is now very scarce! Thanks!!!!
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Oh nooooo. Seems like nobody has Romplr. Listen to me now Googler, if you came here in search of Romplr, it is not here. If you came here because you have it and are rooted, use titanium backup and export and mirror. (Please!) Romplr is a free app. And I hope someone gets this message in a bottle that I just threw in the internet oceans of Google.

You're in luck. I found a mirror, downloaded, and reuploaded to my box account.
Edit: Not sure if posting a link to it is breaking rules so if anyone else wants it, you gotta pm me.

I don't think it would be, since it isn't warez, its just not on the market anymore, though I pm'd ya anyway. ^_^

Alright, since it technically isn't warez, here's the link.

I came across this great Dropbox alternative called Copy that got a really nice android app. Right now they are giving away 10 GB free just by signing up. And you'll get 5GB extra for everyone you refer to the service. It's pretty nice! And BTW, I'm not affiliated with the service. You'll never get enough free storage!

I wouldn't download it just based on the name of the developer "HORSEMASTER LABS" - As soon as I saw that, I thought "trojan horse" right away. Thanks for the heads up though. That's one malicious app!

That being the case with the dev name them i would not DL anything by that dev. Also did a quick look a and they have a few apps all free.
Give me the link to Google Plays Security Team, I will happily send them a email regarding this when I get home, as well as a link to this thread.
That was done already by the op of the ot. The apps have been blocked from the store app earlier.
Sent from my SGH-T999L using xda premium
In case anyone was interested, this was posted on the ot by pulser_g2:
I tested this with Lookout, which is a fairly good Android AV, and it didn't spot it.
I currently have little faith in most mobile AV software...
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/...-google-plankton-android-market_n_875865.html shows Google removed the malware, yet https://blog.lookout.com/blog/2012/...the-‘apperhand’-sdk-aka-android-counterclank/ shows their take on it.

Big problem, I can still see them from a PC end in this case. I'd say this means they haven't actually been taken down, but the store only filtered from appearing on the Google Play App.
Looks like the OP of that thread has found another malware: call and SMS stats. Check it out to see his findings. From now on I am going to be very careful with what I download onto my device!

Yeah, it was like that shortly after the initial find. Considering though that you need the play store app to install any of it though it makes sense that they would just hide it while they investigate it themselves.
If you guys haven't yet, you should read the links pulser_g2 posted. Particularly the avast link. Interesting stuff.

This is why I always look at all the permissions that an app requests...
Its also a reason why I prefer to get apps from the Amazon Appstore as well - at the bottom of the page you can see every detailed permission the app has. Most things on my phone came from Amazon.
