First of all, what is your phone manufacturing date? It is located under your battery.
It looks like, for example, 12W11, 11W25 etc. Post yours here, then we can see further.

For your phone, there are many providers, who can do it, most popular being Omnius, I believe. There is a sticky topic about unlocking in General section, check it out.

Xda Hi guys, I go for help because after reading all the threads about rooting for one x (tegra3) encotrado I have a solution for this firmware and I should get the first root to unlock bootloader without htcdev. From already thank you very much for your generous assistance.

Another thing this firmware can not unlock bootloader through htcdev is why I am going to someone who knows how to root to Ullock after bootloader. If this query is in another forum I apologize and ask that indicate where to place me. Thank you.

If it says that you are not allowed to unlock the bootloader I'm afraid there is no way to unlock it.

I found the most reliable way of unlocking bootloader has been setools and the test point method.
I am on 3 and have had the SIM unlocked ( phone was originally on t-mobile) and bootloader unlocked.
Search for user jinx13 he offers this service remotely.

Pay attention the Frequently Asked Questions.

Hi everyone.
I have had an x10 for 2 years and now I have a Arc S. So, as I have some experience on flashing roms and rooting and etc with my x10 I want to give it a try with my new ARC S.
But as I dont know if things are exactly like x10 I need to ask you some questions.

Root with these http://www.unlockroot.com/unlockroot.html
Unlock Bootloader (need help)
After doing these can I flash any kernel right away?
If so I am thinking about flashing these ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2093720). But I dont know want bugs it has so ......wat do you recomend me?
Thanks

No need to apologise, your English is fine. :good: You need to check if you can use the official method to unlock, see HERE, if the answer is no you need to use the test point method, which is the method I would recommend even if you're able to use the official method, but the choice is yours.

Guys i need help on an issue
i just upgraded my Arc S to 4.0.4
Did a factory reset, everything is fast and smooth.
BUT
after i import my contacts into the phone book, tapping a contact does not display the details! like it used to in GB.
i click on a contact n nothing happens, only long press works.
Is that a feature or a bug?
Yeah!Arc S... Power device!
Hello guys
I´ve been looking for a way to do it, and I have only found things about the European version and older posts saying it could be done, so I´m not sure if it even possible as for today
Can somebody explain me if the process can be done?
Thanks a lot
I've realized before LG stopped supporting the V30, the damnned LG G6 US997 USA unlocked could be the last G-Series to enjoy unlocked bootloader & root, I don't know why the European variants getting bootloader as soon as the newer flagships are launched! Before buying the almost useless G710ULM, Last year the European G710EUM is costlier than the ULM. Since I was on a budget, I could afford the ULM "sigh"! Even the latest European LG V50 & the LG G8 is bootloader unlocked!

Yes, it can be unlocked and rooted. As far as I know, the instructions have not made their way to XDA, and XDA doesn't allow linking to the Telegram group where they're posted. Just Google for a Telegram group for the LG G7 ThinQ and look for the instructions posted there.
Unlocking isn't without some risk, though, since it involves temporarily overwriting the bootloader with another one, but it reportedly works.
So I dug up the instructions and the associated files this morning, but before I pull the trigger on this: will LineageOS builds work after the bootloader is unlocked? Obviously they're tagged for the EU model in the other thread, but I figured I'd check and see if someone tried this already.

Tried to DM you the link, please let me know if that worked! Otherwise you can install Telegram and just search for LG G7. Should pop up right towards the top.
Any new info on this? The G7 hardware is great so I would love to put lineage or some form of aosp on it. Couldn't find the telegram link though, so I would greatly appreciate it if somebody could send it to me. Thanks!
