Rooting GT-I8150 after Kies-update

Hi everyone!
Finally after several tries i managed to run my device with Kies and they offered me the update to Gingerbread 2.3.6. I installed it, it worked fine, but now my rooting is gone. Tried serval methods like SuperOneClick, update.zip by recovery, doomlords easy rooting tool and even manual rooting via adb. Nothing works! what can I do to get my device rooted again? I would like to keep 2.3.6 because it is nice and fast, and unfortunately I don´t have backuped my formen 2.3.5. Can someone help me, please???

Thank you for this good tip!!! But i want to keep 2.3.6!

you need to root your phone with the update. zip.
it's in the root topic of this forum.

Hi there,
I've faced the same problem as you did in the past. I did lots of searching without success.
After that, I turned to the Chinese forums, cuz there are much more users in mainland and Taiwan than in other parts of the world.
Finally, I found the working solution... the update zip attached. It worked for me, and I hope that will work for you too.

I Tried that, too. But it didn´t work for me. I think it is because My Rom is european (german). Thank you anyway!

Woundering the same.. ordered mine and i will get it tomorrow (sweden) first thing i want is to root and install cm9 to it! and if someone knows if lte radio works with cm9 in sweden?

Me too.....who can help us?

There's a Super One Click root that works. You just have to be persistent with it. It will fail a few times, but if you keep at it, it will eventually succeed. So far, noone seems to know what the pattern is, it just works.

Has anyone verified the method? I have been trying for a while and it still doesnt work....hope others have better luck

May I know which version for Super One Click can root P936?

Try Super one Click (latest version for the home page)
Always stop at the step 7 after reboot
try more than 5 times

can flash LG Nitro HD Custom ROM?

Try this method:

Extract the rar-file and click "TPSparkyRoot.bat".
After that just follow the instructions on Screen.
(Please note that you have to bring your phone in USB-Debug-Mode!!!)

The only rom that can be rooted is the at&t leaked ics rom.
But with that rom I can only connect to HK's Egde network.
I end up using CM9.

may I know does you means you can use 4g lte in HK with CM9 Rom
Also how to install it because I still can't root it

EDIT: One more thing, will roms of a110 work on this as both phones have almost same specs? Also, i think i should try by a110 method instead of a68 one.

Flashing stuff from any other phone than yours can ruin your phone and brick it. Don't ever try that again, or you may have to regret, if you don't have a backup. Root methods can be generic, but stuff like clockworkmod (or cwm) recovery and ROMs from a different phone would NEVER EVER work on your phone unless someone ports it to your device.

Now, I want to install CWM desperately on my device. But you are saying that i can brick my phone doing so.
But as mmx a110 has a same spec, even then my phone can be bricked?

Its hard to find, and i am also looking how to root the phone.

Its prerooted Firmware , so you could download it and follow it
but you could use CF Auto root method .

but before you do that @ Dr.Ketan is available please PM him he will tell if its this root method is compatible or not ,
Make sure you do EFS backup.

I think there is no special forum by CF for N7102
But if you have samsung N7102 (china) then i have found this file from CF auto root central

You can flash it if your device is same as i said above. Though i highly recommend to find stock ROM before testing it, so you can return to stock if anything goes wrong.
Do it at your own responsibility, I have no any inputs regarding this.

I think your device may not be samsung n7102 but Chinese clone. No support for that you may find in that case.

Yes its a clone of a note 2, thats why its so hard to root that phone...

did anyone try the towelroot for the Huawei P6 (KitKat)? It works grear for my Xperia ZL, but befor I try to root the P6 from my doughter, I want to be sure that it will work (outherwise I will run into deep trouble).

I know , apologies, I don't know if it will work, I just thought to suggest methods that will most likely work, anyway only way to know is to try.
