For everyone who uses greenify what do u typically put in hibernation to save battery whether its system apps or others?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I put almost everything lol
Any app that doesn't need to be opened...
I.e. messaging, alarms, e-mail and browsers (for downloading screen off) won't get hibernate, but everything else is added to the hibernate list
Sent from my SGH-I747
Any app that I do not need notification's for. I also do not hybernate file app's, such as ES File Explorer, or titanium backup. Last thing you want is for those to be killed during a operation.
Google Voice
Groove IP
Es File Explorer
Titanium Backup
Kik Messenger
FolderMount
Beatiful Widgets
My launcher (I use Smart Launcher)
my keyboard (swiftkey for me)
Sygic (Gps App)
3G watchdog
Gmail
Just to give you a idea of what I do not Greenify.

I just ordered a Desire and I'm curious about what programs you HAVE to have on Android just like you have to have some programs for WM in the beginning. Also I wanna know if you guys mostly use just the Sense UI or another launcher such as LauncherPro with alot of widgets (it looks cool).
I'm using Modaco's r18 (Froyo), and love it.
Must-have programs.. hmm..
Barcode scanner
Gesture search
Voice search
ROM manager (if you decide to root)
Estrongs task manager & Estrongs file explorer
Silent Boot
DemoPlayer
Layar
Ringdroid
Shazam
MyBackup
Dropbox
SwitchPro widget
Beautiful Widgets (if you root and use something other than Sense).

Go to Amazon.com on your phone and download the new Amazon App Store app. Angry Birds Rio is free for a limited time, and they have a different paid
app for free every day!
Also, SetCPU is free for XDA members: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419

Google Translate: translates typed and spoken word
Rockplayer: best video player I've found so far
Titanium Backup: root only, a must have for backup up apps and app data
Picsay Pro: Add cool effects (and silly stuff too) to photos
Dolphin Browser HD: Works with Flashplayer hack to play Hulu

Gboard
Don't use Anti-virus and don't think you need one as long as you're not blindly installing apps
SDMaid and I don't think it's a placebo!
Nova Prime
Google Calendar
BetterBatteryStats and EX Kernel Manager battery info
Chrome
Android Messages (I hardly use SMS anyway so I didn't bother looking for alternatives) (WhatsApp is my main messaging platform)
Solid Explorer
Use my local bank's app for finance
Snapseed for photo editing
Don't use a video editor on my smartphone
Hope this helps!

Looks good. Accubattery is better for battery stats and the Samsung Internet Browser (really!) is the best browser. https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-internet-browser-android-793983/
For SMS's try this app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.android.smsorganizer&hl=en_IN
It automatically segregates most of the transaction/spam sms into separate bins and does a good job of it.
Best calendar IMHO is Business Calendar 2. Interface is much better than Google Calendar, more customizable, and syncs with Google Calendar flawlessly
I've been using the Norton junk cleaner for system and such, and manually cleaning the cache for the apps that get bad. Does sd maid do app cache cleaning too? I see it works with root. Also, is it worth it to get pro? Tell me more please!
I personally like AppMgr III (App Manager 3) for System/Cache Cleaner and, especially (but not applicable for taimen), if you have a device that employs an external sd card...
Kb: gboard or swiftkey
Antivirus/cache cleaner/batt monitor: not needed
Launcher: nova prime
Sms/contacts/calendar/dialer:stock
Email: outlook
Browser: chrome or samsung internet
File manager: solid explorer
Photo editor: tookwiz photo
Financial/video: dont use any
Password manager/auto fill: enpass
Doc scanner: camscanner
Todo list: ticktick and keep
Notes: onenote
Keyboard - Was a huge SwiftKey user and even did betas and forum moderating for them but now Gboard.
Antivirus - None
System / Cache Cleaner - None
Launcher - Nova Prime but currently Pixel Launcher until Nova updates to fully support Pixel Launcher features.
Calendar - Google Calendar
Battery Monitor - None
SMS, Dialer, Contacts - Stock ones
Browser - Chrome
File Explorer - Stock "Files" app in Android P; "Downloads" in Oreo.
Finance Management - Mint
Photo Editor - Google Photos, Aviary, Facetune
Video Editor - Google Photos
Ones not in your categories:
Instant messaging - Allo (Yes I have converted my family and closest friends to it)
Video chat - Duo
Fitness - Google Fit
Music - Google Play Music and iHeartRadio
To do - Google Keep
Sleep tracking - Sleep as Android
Forums - Tapatalk

Try Drupe for your dialer...it's a great app.
Thanks heaps for the responses guys!
Picked up a few great apps from here..
I know we have a few threads about battery-saving apps or theme managers. Just wanted to know, outside of those what are your must-have apps/Wigets. I am always looking to try new products and services but always like to hear real-world experiences.
Some of mine,
Pandora
Spotify
Slack
Outlook
K9-mail
WeatherBug
Relay
Kiwi Browser
Twitter
Adguard
Liv Dark
Nova
Walli
YouTube Vanced
Viper4Android
CLZ apps
Tasks
QNAP stuff
Swift Backup
Magisk
EV apps
Tasker
HEOS
Just to name a few. I'm an app hoarder though. I had like over 350 apps installed before getting this phone. For the first time ever, chose to only reinstall about half for my restore.
I use my phone for a lot of crap. LOL
EDIT: forgot Nova. Definitely always have Nova! Oh and Textra for SMS.
I do like textra as well. Trying to compare to pixel messenger. Its been a long time since I've used the native app. Ive only started to scratch the surface of nova with all the options it gives.

Hold down the send button on the native messenger app .
That was the 1 feature that kept me on Textra forever.
