I want to ask about Screen Guard that i will buy later..
Do you prefer to choose Anti Glare Screen or Anti Spy screen ?
When i used the Usual Screen Guard, i must to touch back button until 2 times( Because the screen is wet), and tired to clean the screen if it can't respond..
Please give me the answer, the function and the positive or negative effect from that both screen guard.. Because i don't know what screen guard that i have to buy.. i want to have the better screen, not wet when i use it, and also responsive
if someone is already using it, please tell your experience (brightness, under the sun etc.)
Thanks Before

I would use Anti Glare Screen because I'm already using it !
Brightness is good just like the normal screen without screen guard
It's pretty good under the sun because i can still see even if I'm under the sun..
I also don't see fingerprint marks at my Screen Guard so it's pretty great...!

Hi, Is anybody using a Privacy Screen protector for their SGS II? What brand would you recommend? And will it affect your AMOLED screen in terms of brightness? Thanks!

sorry it wont help mate but i really dont like them , they make viewing in the sun a nightmare and are generally a fingerprint/oil magnet
maybe you can find a good one but all i have tried i have removed asap
I'm using it...so far it's been good...happy w it
used 3M privacy protector for like a month and switched back to conventional matt/anti-glare.
the brightness & color got compromised and my eyes tend to get tired after looking at the screen for too long..
Hello, found a few scratches on my Xperia Arc screen and got very disappointed, I thought it had scratch resistant screen, later I took a close look to the screen and found out that it had one more screen layer, could anyone tell me if it can be removed or not, because when I asked SE support team, the operator told me that it can be removed, I just wont a suggestion, help guys.
I would not touch that layer it is part of the capacitive sensor on the screen if I'm not mistaken
yeah, I'm afraid of that too, but support team convinced me in opposite
Yes, you can remove it without problems. I did it in December without problems so far.

how did you remove it? any suggestions to peel it off? It's a bit hard to do that ( with nails )
With my nails
It takes a while to pick up a corner, but once you got a corner picked up it's easy.

Part of capacitive sensor ?? Lol
Anyways..it's just a screen protector..if got scratched,replace it with a new one..
And in this case,i would suggest you to seek some professional help as you might end up making new scratches in order to remove the protector. It's a tough job and needs a lot of love and care d(^_^)
Thank you all, I did it, it really was a screen protector, if found layer like this on your arc , you should peel it off, as a result you get Better colors, touchscreen enhancement and sharper image.
I dont think that we should remove the screen guard. SE provides two screen guards with the handset. One comes already pasted on ur handset and other comes in the box. we need not remove it as it keeps the main screen safe from scratches..
I really agree with your, but that screen protector makes touchpad less sensitive and colors are less vivid, so I prefer being extra careful with my phone then looking at Less Attractive screen
Last time I checked the screen protector I have on doesn't change the quality, clearness or the color of the display. Just saying.
Protect your screen with one. Most of them now a good and leave your screen feeling normal.
i know its an old question but anyway i have one question.how hard is it to peel of the screen protector? im trying it right now and im afraid of braking something, should i force it off or what?
It is glued there so you may have to use some force to peel it off.

So if you guys are wondering what a privacy screen protector is, its basically one in which restricts viewing of the phone screen, so basically if anyone is standing or sitting next to you whilst you were on your phone, and they had a look at your screen, then all they would see is a black screen
So the one I ordered really cheap was this
It arrived pretty promptly and applied it the standard method, clean screen, use a credit card and slowly apply pressure as your placing the screen protector to ensure no air bubbles
What do I think? Well the protector is relatively thick and scratch resistant which means I have extra comfort in knowing its safer from drops etc. The screen protector is a fairly good size, easily covers the screen. It does its job perfectly, from side views, the screen can't be seen whatsoever
Disadvantages - I'm used to having my phone lying on the desk next to me, and so if I want to quickly see any notifications, I actually have to pick up the phone and bring it face to face with me, instead of usually just glancing across at it
2) It does reduce brightness so you need to bump it up a little, however the screen protector is described as having 99% UV protection and i've tested it outdoors and I could see the screen okay
Overall I'd recommend this, its cheap, you can't go wrong with the thick protection and the privacy factor is another bonus!
Have you tried with polaroid glasses on too?

Now that it's hot here in the UK, whenever I try to text with sweaty hands, my keyboard goes all spazzy and starts pressing buttons without me touching them, somethings even on the other side of the screen where I'm touching, and since I use Kik messenger almost all day, it's a bit of a problem.
Is there any way I can stop this from happening? Maybe a certain screen protector or something?

I have a Matte screen protector on my phone, I occasionally take it off to see my 720 screen in all its beauty, but when I take it off the touch screen starting freaking out a little bit to my touch, especially on the navigation buttons, I have tried OpenSemc app for onscreen navigation but still the screen thinks I'm holding a touch even when I'm not. Help.
And if you replace your screenprotector back on your screen?? Do you you have still the same problem?

No, when I put the screen protector back on the phone, the problem goes away but matte screen protectors make the screen less appealing and its messing up the touch responsiveness of the phone without it

Try calibrating your screen removing the screen protector...
You can either use the script posted here...or there are apps available for the same. your problem may get resolved...
