So I immediately fell in love with the fast charging capability of this phone. Unfortunately ive noticed its not charging as fast as it used to. I ran it down to 2% yesterday and put it on the charge. I get the slow charge in the notification, which ive been getting a lot, so I unplug and replug and it dosent return. 2hrs later I'm at 28%, when I wake up to go to work its only at 91%, problem is I woke up for work at 10 and put it on the charge at like 3:45. Anyone else noticed this?? This isnt the first time its happened just never this bad... I'm using the stock charger. I tried others but same thing. Get slow charge, unplug then replug it goes away havent had a chance to test charge time withem yet tho. I think its the charger but wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue. I'm rooted and turned the thermal throttleing off. Any ideas?

Did you plug in wall wallet charge or notebook's USB cord? On wall it should charge in 3+ hrs
In my case I just swap the batteries of my F240 and don't know how much time it has to fully charge
Yeah I plugged it into a wall, then this morning i did the same thing and it went from 45% to 95 in 45min... dunno lol I'll try cleaning the leads it spends a lotta time in my pocket and the inconsistancy seems like something stupid like that lol

I've noticed sometimes that if it doesn't make a good connection it will say Slow Charge in the status bar. When that happens I just disconnect and reconnect.

I used a different cable from a Kindle because it was larger. Figured as long as it was connected to the same wall adapter the phone came with it would be fine. Unfortunately it looks like the only way to get the fast charge speed into use LG's cable which is way to short.

That would be weird if the cable had anything to do with it.

Oh I assure you it did for me. Try a generic cable or one from a normally allow charging device for yourself. I haven't tried a cable from any of the other large battery devices yet. I'd imagine a galaxy s4 cable or something would work.

Definitely does! Every android I've had would refuse to charge with the wrong cable. My wife's GS3 cable doesn't charge my phone with the lg charger. It just let's it use the outlet for power. Weirdest thing.:what:

For the record, at work I have a samsung wall charger and a cable from monoprice. It charges quickly, without a slow charge warning. At home, I'm using Samsung wall charger with samsung cable, and the same quick results. It doesn't have to be the stock charger/cable, just make sure it's one of quality.

Alright-I'm wondering what happened here.
Phone died last night, I quickly powered it on and plugged it to the charger and went to bed.
I woke up a few hours later and the device was incredibly hot and none of my widgets were loaded; they displayed the problem loading widget message.
Also: Is anyone else having the grounding issue while charging, the touchscreen is innacurate and unresponsive only while charging from a wall charger, if it is charging via usb from a PC it works perfectly fine, albeit charging much slower.

Did you happen to have the phone in bed with you? Personally I don't recommend doing that just like you shouldn't with a laptop because the phone will get hot from the charging and the sheets will just amplify that. I'm guessing you already tried restarting the phone. Try to just have the phone sit for like a half hour with the battery out and then see what happens.

The wall charger that came with the phone is 1A Some people on the forum had the same problem. There was a "fix" you plug the phone in, turn off the screen what 30 seconds turn the screen back on and presto. What i found is if you user another charger say 0.7A charger like for the nexus s you shouldn't have the issue.
No, it was on my desk on a thin cloth.

I've been having trouble with my Inc2 as of yesterday.
I plugged it into the charger and the orange light will turn on but it keeps losing power. I don't know how to fix this. I turned it off and left it to charge a bit then turned my phone back on to see that it still lost power.
Last night it died because I was no where near a charger and then the orange light was just flashing and it took no charge. After a while if messing with the phone it had finally turned a solid orange and charged up to about 40% before it stopped charging and losing power.
As of right now it's at about 10% and still plugged into the wall charger. I have yet to try a USB charger.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
Your charge port may be loose. I have to plug my phone in at the right angle to get any charge.

Are you sure? I opened the battery section in Settings and it says it's charging. The orange light is on and everything but it's losing power.
Just had my wife's replaced for the same exact issue! Says it's charging but really isn't. Trying connecting it to your computer and see if it is recognized, that's how I verified the micro usb port was not working correctly.

Just plugged it into the computer and it worked fine. Was able to turn on the USB storage and everything.
I turned off my phone pulled the battery and then put it back and let it sit in the charger and it to to 40 percent before I nudged it and then the battery percentage started to drop again even though its still plugged in and the charge light is on as well.
Anyone else got some suggestions or help?

Edit: After doing a bunch of searching on the VZW forums, Incredible forums, HTC and many others. I have come to the conclusion that my phone might be out of commission now. This sucks
You can try another battery. I found a new HTC battery on eBay for $12.95 shipped. Certainly worth a try for a small investment.
You need to do a warranty replacement or purchase a new usb charging port online and install on your own. It will probably easier to get a warranty replacement though. My nephew had the same problem, its a bad usb port.
I am having the same problem. After going to a few different forums it seems that the charging port has an issue, like a previous post said get a warranty replacement if you can. I bought mine off of eBay so I cannot get that but I did find a source for a new charging port for a decent price. The video shows it to be pretty easy to replace. For the time being I was able to buy a wireless charging pad and back on clearance at the local VZW store. I hope HTC has a better port on the next generation of devices.
I had this problem. I got a warranty replacement and it works awesome. I would give it a whirl.

Leave it plugged in. You don't even have enough battery power to start the phone. let it charge for a bit

Sounds like the battery is faulty to me (assuming your original battery works fine with the phone).
The flashing touch panels means a completely depleted battery.
Are you using the stock charger that came with your Nitro?...You HAVE TO use the stock (or similar charger that pushes at least 1A, might even be 1.1A) in order to "kickstart" the battery to charge up from that depleted state.
You can also try a battery charger.
Another option is to buy a cheap generic charger, cut out the connector that goes to the phone, get the + & - cables apart and use it to charge the battery.
Btw if you HAVE to this either your phone faulty or the battery is bad quality. I hope is the battery. Completely drain your stock battery and try the same thing.

Has anyone else noticed that this is NOT 3800Mah.? I used it today and did notice an improvement but nothing great and it certainly wasn't as long as a large battery like thay should be. The extra inch isn't worth the extra battery. So for now its become a backup

Ok currently I'm leaving the battery to charge with my phone for the whole day and let's see what happens. I'm currently using an iPhone charger head and a microUSB cable. Is that ok? When will I know it's out of the dead battery state? Is it when it lights up to the battery charging screen? So sorry the overwhelming questions. I really do not know.

Use the lg charging block and cable that came with the phone. If you get nothing after a few minutes try removing the battery for a minute. Reinstall and try charging again. That could do the trick.

No, an iPhone charger will not work. You will only be able to get 0.5A (500mA) from an Apple charger when used with an Android phone (because Apple uses its own proprietary spec with USB charging). Any non-Apple charger rated at over 1A (1000mA) should work.

Should work. Keep in mind a 2A charger just means it's capable of drawing up to a maximum of 2A, but the Nitro HD won't actually use all of it. So it's safe to use a charger that is rated 2A.

I use an iPhone USB to AC adapter with a charging cable for what is marked as an HTC phone... no problems.
Out of the blue I noticed my S3 was charging very slowly, it even was losing a charge while it was plugged in while I was using it. I figure it had something to do with my custom ROM so I reflash, still same outcome. The battery was still holding a good charge, so I figured it was something else. I then went out and bought a new charger, which came with a micro usb cord to see if that helped. Plugged in the new charger while using my old micro usb cord, still same outcome. Then used the new micro usb cord and old charger, charging went back to normal, problem solved! I would of never thought that the cord would malfunction from day to day use after such a short lifespan. Moral of the story, check your cords if you experience the same problem, it could save you some time and money!
I had the same issue, however it did not matter what cord I used. I cleaned all the pocket fuzz out of the charging port, and still no go. Ended up returning to stock and sending in for warranty. Mine had a bad charge port. Is a common issue with the S3.

I have the same issue. The stock charger was taking 6-8 hours for a full charge, I just recently got the 7000 MAH zerolemon battery. It takes almost an entire day to charge that. I bought a different Samsung charger and it charges within 4-5 hours, which isn't bad seeing how my phone lasts almost 2.5 days. They say not to use any other charger for the S3 because the stock charger charges the Lithium ION cells or whatever and using any other charger starts to diminish them after prolong use. But hey, I can't wait an entire day for my phone to charge. I suggest you get another charger. I have a HTC micro sd charger and it charges pretty quickly.

Hello everyone,
I am currently going through hell with my sph-l710. This all started a few days ago.
My phone refuses to charge sometimes, but the charging light comes on. I have never gotten the phone to charge above around 20%. I took it to sprint. First they said it was a software issue but they wouldn't look at it because i was on a custom rom (Liquidsmooth) and rooted. So I went home and did a reflash of md4 via odin.
This didn't fix the issue.
So I went back in. This time, they said it was the battery. So I bought a brand new battery.
That didn't help the issue.
So I went back in, and they said they had to keep in for an hour to see if I simply needed a new phone. When I came back, they said it worked fine on multiple chargers and they got it up to 56%. So I came back home thinking maybe they were just covering their asses for the previous times they couldn't figure it out.
That didn't help the issue.
It once again wouldn't charge and while I was bored I flashed cleanbean v4.0. Still not charging properly. I noticed that while it was plugged into my PC, it got up to like 30% so I got excited, but when I rebooted the phone after unplugging it, it went down to 17% immediately.
I'm literally pulling my hair out over this. I have used my mom's charger for her htc evo and that won't charge it either.
Can someone pelase tell me what in the world is wrong with my phone??
Cheers
The charger, do not use a charger for HTC, make sure you use the charger that came with the phone. USB charging from the computer is slow. But your wall charger should have it fully charged within an hour. If not then your charger is bad or the cable is bad.
Transmitted with a portable device using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
Check the port on the phone for pocket fuzz, Try a different usb cable, try a different charger. It's likely one of these is the problem. If not, is your phone running hot? If so, maybe an app on the phone is drawing so much current that the charger can't keep up. What does the battery usage display in settings say? Does it show something eating up battery that shouldn't be?

I used to think the same thing, but when I use my Kindle's charger or my old Evo 4G's charger, my phone doesn't charge, it just maintains the same level. My Palm Pre's charger, though, works like a charge. The Funkiest Ed wasn't saying that only Samsung chargers would work, but that it's likely the charger doesn't work anymore.
