Since I updated to 4.2.2 Twitter doesn't show up as a source for Blinkfeed. Is there an apk file I can use to enable this. I read somewhere that the htc Twitter app is different from the actual Twitter app. But I haven't been able to find file to install htc's Twitter app.

what rom the 4.2.2 rom im using blinkfeed displays twitter perfectly.. remember to enable it in the settings of blinkfeed.
I am currently using Revolution Rom 10, which uses 4.2.2 and my twitter is working properly. Id check to see if this is a ROM customization where they took twitter out for some reason, or maybe its just not selected in your list of sources for blinkfeed.
Maybe....
When I flash Android Revolution, this rom show me the pre-install apps that I can install. If I don't select facebook or twitter, When the phone start, this apps don't appear to select in blinkfeed options although I install from Google Play, this don't appear. Sorry for bad english.
I'm on Android Revolution 10.2. I did not select to install twitter when i was flashing the new rom. Is there a way i can install it now?
Sources I have for blinkfeed now are Flickr, Instagram and Linkedin.

No chance of getting it back. There are plug-ins missing. You need to flash the rom again. I've had the same issue with trickdroid

Sooo I updated to Cyanogen 6.1 with ROM manager, and now it's not giving me the option to sync my Google account to get my contacts, GMail, etc. when I go to Accounts & Sync. Am I missing something, or what do I need to do? Thanks.

there u go... from the cyanogenmod.com forums for evo
I have installed them over the latest cm nightly and on a fresh nightly install yet it seems to bring up the same apps to install and the same versions at that...am I missing something here? Doesn't our google apps installer just point to the market and not actually install any apps? Why would it even matter what version the gapps were then? Please someone break this down for me!

For the most part yeah it just points you to the Market apps. But some things like the Market itself, News and Weather, Calendar, and Talk are not on the market and come with the gapps flash.
Also, where did you get 0617? The latest I see is 0613 here http://goo-inside.me/gapps
Edit: 0613 is also the latest on ROM Manager

I am so sorry I was doing it from memory I meant to say 0613. So if I flash the latest package on top of my current nightly will it update those things that you named that are not included on the market? Thank you for taking the time to answer me I figured I would get ignored since it was a noobie question.
Also I'm on mobile app so I can't fix the thread title sorry everyone!

Yup it should update those things not included in the market. Personally I didn't notice any difference from 0307

Ok cool. Do I need to unfreeze the market apps installer before I do it?

After I flashed news and weather, and calendar are the same version. Don't think it updated a thing. Maybe it can only be done on a clean flash.

Perhaps the only thing newer in 0613 than 0307 is prob the Market

Hmm that would make sense. But can't the market just autoupdate itself? And why does the cyanogen wiki page and rom manager still povide 0307 as the latest? Weird. After extensive google searching there is nowhere that lists what is actually included in the google apps package. Some places have summaries but nowhere has an actual breakdown of what is included and what version, what the hell!
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA Premium App
Yeah the market does autoupdate itself but this way you just start with the latest version I guess, and why not
Also, the wiki is only as up to date as those who maintain it

Hi,
In my older ROMs I had an option on sync accounts called Facebook for HTC (plus the original Facebook sync), which was very useful cause then I could delete the annoying always-online-facebook-app which I didn't use and only use the sync option of the Facebook-for-HTC, and I could sync contacts and contact pictures with it.
And now on my new ROM (Virtuous Affinity 1.48) I don't have it on the list (I believe because its Sense 3.5),
So to get contact synced with facebook pictures, I must Install the official annoying app which leaves me online to chat 24/7..
Is there any sollution for this?
Thanks,
Yarden.
Get the htcfacebook.apk from one of your older roms and install it

I tried this, but usually it doesn't work. Has something to do with the different framework between Sense 2.1-3 and Sense 3.5 With Sense 3.5, Facebook for HTC Sense was removed, but Twitter remains. You'll have to either:
a) Download the official Facebook apk from the Market
b) Download an app such as 'FContactSync" or "EasySync" to sync your pictures (Both worked well for me)
c) Not sync Facebook

I'm running rcmix3d with sense 3.5, and it has that apk. So you should be able to download Rcmix3d then just extract the apk from it

Can u send me a link from where u downloaded please?
Or if its not too much to ask may I ask you to upload the app for me please? if you kept the rom file..
thank you,
and also thank you mr HTC_Phone, I prefer to keep that option to last.
The FB for htc is much more convenient then any other app, especially the official app.
and not syncing is not an option

although it says some error :\
when I open the installation it says "its system app, blah blah, continue? yes.... and then "App not installed" :\
Is there a special way to install it?
I remember one time I used root manager, by a guide or something.. is it necessarily here too?

Yes, you'll have to copy it to /system/app with root manager or another file manager with root access
well I putted it in the system app as you said.. rebooted.. but still no option for that in accounts sync..
also I cannot find it on titanium backup app list..
got the same rom, same problem
but I so have contact pics
As I asked on topic, this is quite important to me cos Whatsapp is the only free messenger that my mom knows how to use and I'm a big fan of JB

I think downloading it from playstore doesn't work, complains about compatibility. You can download it from www.whatsapp.com/download
Thanks guys, downloading JB now
The given link did not work for me when I tried today from my mobile. (but works with desktop pc). The link i used to install is to use the word android after the whatsapp domain to get this app installed.
Also make sure to turn on the setting to install apps from other souces to get it installed sucessfully
could any jelly bean users confirm if PlayStore actually allows whatspp already? or is it will under "incompatible", lazy to flash my rom to check it out.
hope you guys dont mind
Yeah pal, WhatsApp works fine on JB. I have CM10 and all apps work. If you use SwiftKey then install titanium backup, make a back up, uninstall and then re install. This is because you lose it when rebooting.

You have to do a manual install (www.whatsapp.com/download), it wont install from the play store.
And then you can use something like Easy Installer to install the .apk
Well I already tried some jb Roms and all were compatible with whatsapp, but I never installed it from play store, I always restored it with titanium...

plz help em install google play new version for rom Pacman v14.1
I tried but failed
How did you tried to install Google Play? Did you flash gapps package from the op of the PACman thread?
Or if you already have it then just uninstall your current version of Google Play with any root un installer, and install the new version.
EDIT: aren't Google Play Store supposed to auto update itself?
Callendar on lock screen
I cannot get callendar on lockscreen. I've enabled it in ROM Control, but it didn't appear on lock screen.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advnace

If it makes problems, just deinstall it with Titanium Backup Pro, restart phone, install an new apk from the internet and set it to a system app with titanium.
