PA Halo Beta open source
Wonder which devs will incorporate it into their roms. I would like to see this added to the unofficial CM10.1

[Q] hover cherry pick??

Hi all,
Noob here and PA follower.
I'm well enough in AOSP and CM11 sources building...follow an howto is not so diffcult
Anyway I'm just learning Git and GitHUb and I was wondering if my favourite PA feature
could be included in my personal AOSP build.
I'm talking about Hover.
Is it feasible and legal to include it in others builds?
I mean, could I "repo sync" AOSP and after include Hover from PA git?..and if so, will I need to "cherry-pick"
its commit(s)?
syscall
Check out the guides on cherry picking. Git add remote the repo, git cherry pick the commit

The short answer is I don't know.
The long answer is there used to be an official maintainer for the N9 but he left the SAOSP team a few months ago. I learned to compile Roms after his departure and I started making unofficial community builds for the N9. I suspect the issue could have been introduced during that time period when no one was build for the N9. I was not aware of the bluetooth issue until one of the members alerted me. I'm not even sure why issue even exists since bluetooth works for all the other devices supported by the SAOSP team. With that said, I submitted a bug report for the bluetooth issue and the saosp team is working on it.
As a side-note, I would have liked it if bluetooth issue was fixed before I made a thread on XDA, but seeing that there are only a few AOSP
based ROMs that are updated regularly, I decided to share my builds since the SAOSP is a good ROM.

Other AOSP roms had that bluetooth issue too. Maybe you can cherry pick from one of their sources. You can take a look into Lollipopalooza or noobbuilds rom thread.

When I try to download the latest ROM it take me to basketbuild but it is just a white page and when I refresh it does the same thing. I've used a couple different browsers with the same result?

Paranoid Android Release Version

Hi,
Im new to Paranoid Android, but i have tried various other roms.
I just wanted to find out what the 'RELEASE' version is on Paranoid Android.
On the Nexus 5 File, it has the Word Release in the tile of the file.
Is it like the Nightly builds on Lineage OS/ Cyanogenmod?
Thanks

Hi!
In Paranoid Android we have three tags for zips that I will explain to you.
DEV= It´s the one used for everyone who compiles PA by himself, and it´s the default one for not official builds.
MEDIA BUILD: As you can imagine, it´s just for medias which test the builds for getting them articles ready
RELEASE: Any build that you download from get.aospa.co which includes this tag is meant to be the official build released for that device by the Paranoid Android team. It guarantees that device is very stable plus it includes all of our features(they went public on Github this afternoon).
So in your case, that file that you found is the official zip by us for the Nexus 5. Is like the SNAPSHOT tag that CyanogenMod had before switching to LineageOS.
Wish you to flash PA and enjoy it!
Thanks for your help
